Its still fine and did exactly what I wanted, except the ball began to rust immediately. But I was able to tow my camper level. But due to a back injury, in the Navy in 1976, I had to sell it

by:

Great Product, just what I wanted

by:

Ok, so, hitch arrived a day before they said it would, GREAT. My purchases with etrailer have alway been GREAT, no BS!!! They do what they say, order goes in, notice of item shipped within 12 hours and Wham it is on my door step. There is not much tto scream about over a ball hitch, this is what it is and this one is top of the line.

Thank you all at etrailer,

Jerry

Great, fits snug, no rattling, perfect height.

by:

ball mount had a nice coating on it before shipping. it was put loose in the huge receiver box. bouncing around loose it punched a few holes in the box and got a number of chips from hitting the receiver. it made the same damage to the receiver as well.
this is too bad. I went with etrailer due to great selection and install info. people shipping just don't seem to care about the product. it would have taken veary little to package this so it would not damage other items, but no effort was made to ensure shipping would not cause damage.

by:

Just what I needed.

by:

I needed a Class 4, 2" ball hitch with a 6"drop. I found what I needed in a matter of minutes for a great price. Within an hour I received confirmation that my order had shipped and it was received sooner than expected. Great Service!

This was the exact configuration I needed and has worked well for trailering my boat. Thanks for following up.

by:

Perfect size for my application thanks to the etrailer website recommendation.

by:

Good description and great product this is my second purchase from etrailer.com and I can see many more in my future. I'm planning on installing this on my dump truck that needed a minimum drop of 6in so this product is perfect for my needs.

Perfectly just as the day I purchased it

by:

This Curt hitch was exactly like described. I watched the provided video and it bolted right on in 30 min, just as described. Nothing was left out and I was very pleased. The wiring install went exactly the same. Easy! Saved a lot in install fees. My 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan is ready to tow my brush trailer now. Thanks

by:

Perfect size drop hitch for my 2015 Escalade to tow my surfboat.
Welds look great and so does the powder coat, arrived fast and was packaged great.
Only thing I noticed was the description says its a 6-1/8 drop but the label on the hitch says 6". Not a big deal

by:

Bought this for a lift hitch. It bent. Very disappointed. Other hitches I looked at had welded support for both the lift and the drop. Would have purchased different had I known.

by:

1000 lbs tounge weight, 1.25 hole for trailer hitch ball. Very strong

by:

I am completely satisfied with my setup. Used it today and everything worked perfectly. Pulled a trailer from PA to NY and back. No problems.

by:

I bought this 6 inch drop ball mount for use when I rent the travel trailer, and the client has a tall towing vehicle.

by:

As I stated in another review the 5 stars go to etrailer and their great customer service and prices. Shipped out fast with detailed emails of the order status. Always shop here first, you won’t be disappointed.

by:

Works great

by:

The hitch brings my trailers to the correct height for towing.

by:

Great product, still looks great after one year, great service from etrailer.com, once again!

by:

Curt hitches are a good product.

by:

Ball mount fit as it should. Snug. Information on the site showing how to get correct ball height was very helpful and helped get my new truck to match to my car trailer correctly.

by:

It was amzingly easy to find the exact ball-mount we needed. The website is probably the best organized of any which made shopping very easy. And, the product was real quality for a fair price. Great resource!

by:

Quality made, simple product that really made a difference with my trailer. Less noise, more stability. Installation was really aeasy

by:

Arrived damaged poor packaging went through box.

What was the extent of the damage to your Curt Ball Mount? If it is a couple of scratches, we suggest using a Rust-Oleum type of paint to cover those scratches and prevent any corrosion. I have a link below for your reference.

  • Towing Capacity of Fixed Ball Mounts
The Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" hitches - 8-3/4" Rise - 10" Drop - 8,000 lbs item # AMSC10 that was previously referenced is a superior hitch to the Brophy 10" drop item # BM10. It is a stronger reinforced hitch that has a higher weight capacity of 8,000 lbs over the Brophy which only has a 7,500 lbs limit. The use of the Convert-A-Ball fixed mount item # AMSC10 will not reduce your vehicle, hitch, or hitch balls towing capacity. For a fixed ball mount with a 5" rise I recommend the...

  • Is Hitch Ball # A-90 Correct for Curt Ball Mount C45336
The hitch ball part # A-90 is a correct fit for a 2 inch hitch ball for the Curt ball mount part # C45336, we do not have a way to mount the balls here prior to shipping though so your best option might be to take the ball and ball mount to a local mechanic and see if they could torque it down for you.

  • Ball Mount with 5 Inch Rise for 2 Inch Trailer Hitch
We have numerous ball mounts that offer at or around 5 inches of rise! For a basic ball mount with a 5 inch rise you can use Curt ball mount # C45336. It is rated for a maximum of 10,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 1,000 pounds tongue weight. It measures 9-3/8 long from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. The ball hole is 1-1/4 inches in diameter. For a ball with the proper size shank to fit that hole you can use # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16...

I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118746 for your 2021 Mazda CX-5. This harness uses factory style connectors to plug into your tail light harness so that you do not have to splice into your tail light wiring. This will give you a 4-way flat connector that you need to operate the tail lights on the U-Haul trailer. • Recommended Trailer Hitch Ball Mount Rise for U-Haul Trailer Coupler for 2015 Mazda CX-5
On your 2015 Mazda CX-5, the measurement you need is from the ground to the inside top of the receiver. If you look at the attached video we that measurement listed at 15-1/2 inches so it is different from the 13 inch you referenced. For your 13 inch measurement you will then need a 5 inch rise. I recommend the B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount - 5" Rise, 6" Drop - 10-3/4" Long - 16,000 lbs # BWBMHD30014 or the Curt # C45336 and then you will need the # A-90 hitch ball. The pin and clip #...

  • Ball Mount for Towing Rental Trailer with 2022 Honda Odyssey
U-Haul rental trailers typically have a coupler height of 18 inches. When we installed the etrailer # e98855 on a 2022 Honda Odyssey, we found the receiver height to be 13 inches. This would be a height difference of 5 inches. The Draw-Tite # 40332 ball mount offers a 5 inch rise, so it would be a pretty good choice for you. However, I'd go with the Curt # C45336 instead. It's a little less expensive and has plenty of capacity for your needs. For a 2 inch trailer ball, you'd use # A-90....

  • Can Drop Ball Mount Be Used With Patriot Hitches PH54FR To Get To 16" Total Drop?
Yes. You can use a drop ball mount like the # C45336 with the Patriot Hitches # PH54FR to get to your 16" drop total. 5" drop ball mounts are very uncommon, so a 6" like mentioned above and raising the receiver in the Patriot mount will still get you where you need to be. The above ball mount also doesn't include a hitch ball so you'll need one of the following as well: 2" # A-90 2-5/16" # A-6

Switching your ball mount to one with a 5 inch rise, like the Curt # C45336, will help level your trailer but it won't take the sag out of your 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe. The trailer's tongue weight will still be pushing the rear of the vehicle down.
