Promt delivery I wold recommend buying from them again

This item is used on a 2016 F150 that has a 4" suspension lift. It is a solid piece of steel with double the tow rating. Sure; I could have afforded one of those "fancy" adjustable balls. However, most are not rated very high. Typically 4 tons.
I wanted something with a higher rating and this one; solid-piece has done what is needed without possible points of failure. The towed trailer is level to the towing vehicle. I only tow the same trailer for long periods of time. I don't need to have all the hitch sizes available or the various heights. Great price at etrailer and promptly shipped. Thank you

I was going to buy an alternative ball mount but it had a long lead time. Etrailer recommend one that was in stock and it arrived much quicker. Am very happy with etrailer.

It is heavy and it works without problem. Be sure to follow calculation of height. Our camper is perfectly level when towing.

This is one solid hitch. Bought the hitch to pull about 5000 lbs. there's no doubt in my mind that it can handle it.

have not received the hitch, the license plate cover poorly packaged and bent.

Heavy Duty Drop Hitch Mount, product was exactly as listed. Allows my trailer to pull level and avoid sway / excessive tire wear.

Hitch has connected trailer to truck for over 20K miles this year with no issues. Working Great!

Awesome hitch! Well made and strong hitch!! Very pleased with customer service. Got my hitch in under 4 days with easy tracking info and status of my shipment.

Best hitch I have ever owned. Would recommend to anyone!

This is a great ball mount with a nice powder coat that is holding up well. The unit is used with the 5 inch rise position. The the gross weight of the trailer that the mount is used for is 18k pounds with the tongue weight of about 1700 pounds. The product performance is excellent.

Fast shipping great price

Heavy duty trailer hitch!! Looks good! Thanks for the help Greg!!

Still works great!!

Would have given the ball mount 5 stars for fit and finish but the Curt decal was laying in the box. You say no big deal, but it is a big deal because the decal has the ball mount 17,000 lb rating on it. The ball mount does not have the rating stamped in it like most ball mounts. So without the decal it is just a piece of cast material disguised as a ball mount. The problem is. The glue on the decal isn't thick enough to stick to the rough cast material. I shouldn't have to, but I will glue it back on with thicker glue.

Heavy duty and well made. Disappointed that it's made in China (my other 7,500 lbs Curt hitch is made in the USA)

For a USA-made ball mount with similar rise and s and towing capacity to this one, we have the B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount BWBMHD30014

This product is very heavy duty and the price was great. It fit perfectly and looks very good on the 2017 Toyota Tundra with a 6 inch lift. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have used this product regularly for a year and it is still outstanding!

Needed a ball and mount capable of towing my double axel trailer loaded with my 12,000 lb. tractor, this one does the trick. I appreciated the quick shipping.

Excellent, thier online tracking is pretty cool, it shows who took your order who packed it and shows the UPS detailed tracking. I order this part from [online store] and it never arrived, so I gave etrailer a try and they are excellent.

This ball mount is as heavy duty as the web site picture makes it out to be, it's solid forged construction gives it the mass necessary to handle the load and best of all it fits my factory Ford receiver, which some others did not. All in all a nice piece I would recommend it whether the weight rating is needed or not.

I've used etrailer on numerous times and generally avoid these reviews, but they are a very solid good helpful organization to deal with. This is a small order compared to 3 years of past orders. Save yourself some time and trouble and just buy from them. You'll be pleased at the service. Jack

Just what I wanted with the correct amount of drop for my Subaru ascent. Very solid and rounded edges if bumped so no sore shins.

Excellent Fast Service! Top Quality Products! Great Prices! I Highly Recommend etrailer!

Very pleased with the way etrailer conducts business.
I ordered 2 towing items. The correct items came very well packed, to the right address, and within just a few days.
I will be ordering more items from etrailer and recommending them to my friends.

The heavy duty hitch and other parts that I received from etrailer were exactly what I ordered and at a good price. The delivery was fast and nothing damaged. Thanks etrailer I will be buying from you again.

Great products

Fit perfect and super solid.
The service
and delivery were excellent. The item arrived before the estimate and was packaged well. I needed a taller Mount for my new 13k boat trailer. This will work perfect.
Thank you for great service.

Extremely well made US product. I am sure that this drawbar will take anything you can throw at it. Worked perfectly for my applications.

  • How to Keep Trailer and Tow Vehicle Level after Raising Trailer 5 Inches
When towing your trailer, you just want to make sure that everything remains as level as possible. If you raise the trailer body 5 inches, I recommend trying to compensate as much as you can on the vehicle end with a raised ball mount. After the lifts are installed on the trailer, take a measurement from level ground up to the bottom of the coupler. Simply use this measurement to determine if any adjustment is needed with the ball mount on your tow vehicle. For example, the Curt Heavy...

  • How to Remove OEM Factory Hitch 68265142ab on 2019 Ram 1500 to Install Aftermarket Hitch
Congrats on your new truck! According to the installation instructions of the Draw-Tite Class 5 Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41913, you do not need to cut your factory hitch off as it is bolted on, not welded, as shown in step 3 (see photo). I have also attached a link to the complete installation instructions which you will find very helpful. The Draw-Tite Hitch # 41913 is a confirmed fit for the 2019 Ram 1500 (not to be confused with the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic) with a factory installed trailer...

  • Heavy Duty Ball Mount Compatible With Tow Tuff Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps
I'm assuming that you need a 6 inch drop for a 2 inch receiver, is that correct? The highest capacity ball mount we offer in that particular category would be the Curt Heavy Duty forged ball mount, part # C45342 which has a 17K capacity, a 6 inch drop and measures 9-1/2 inches in length measured horizontally from the hitch pin hole to the hole where the ball installs. The distance from the center of the hole to the bend in the ball mount is 3 inches. From what I read, the Tuff Hitch mud...

For a 2-inch ball mount that provides at least 7500-lb capacity along with your required minimum rise of 4-1/4-inches I suggest the Curt forged ball mount # C45342 rated for 17K or part # C45336 rated for 10K. These and other ball mounts are shown on the linked page.

  • How to Select Correct Ball Mount to Allow Trailer to Remain Level When Hitched
Instead of a high/low tow bar adapter, choose a ball mount that has the correct amount of rise/drop so that your hitched trailer remains level with the ground, which is important for good handling. The linked article explains how to measure to determine the correct rise or drop you need from a ball mount. I also linked our main page for 2-inch ball mounts where you can select one to allow your trailer to remain level. If you tow only one trailer you can choose a fixed ball mount like #...

  • Ball Mount with 5 Inch Drop Needed to Tow Trailer Level
Usually the tongue weight of the trailer will pull down the rear of the vehicle a little and it is possible it could be enough to make the trailer level. If that does not happen then I do recommend going with a ball mount with more drop. For a fixed ball mount I recommend the Ball Mount Kit for 2-1/2" Hitches - 3-1/2" Rise or 5" Drop - 18,000 lbs # EBMK25518 . If you have a 2 inch receiver than an adjustable ball mount such as # C45900 is your best option. This one has a...

Making sure that the trailer is as level as possible while towing not only provides additional safety but also makes for a much better towing experience. • Recommended 2 Inch Hitch Ball and Ball Mount with Drop
For your trailer coupler and ball mount, I recommend the Curt 2 Inch Hitch Ball # A-90. This 2 inch ball has a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank, so you will just want to make sure that your ball mount has a 1-1/4 inch opening to receive this hitch ball. To most accurately determine the amount of drop you will need on your ball mount when measuring from the ground to the trailer coupler, you will want to measure to the bottom of the coupler instead of the top. • What Size Receiver Comes on the Buyers Products 3371809065
The Buyers Products # 3371809065 has a 2" receiver, so you would need a ball mount that will fit in that receiver like the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount # C45342. Which hitch ball you would use depends on the ball hole diameter of the ball mount and the size of the coupler on the trailer you'll be towing. The Curt # C45342 has a 1-1/4" diameter ball hole, so you'd need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" shank diameter like the # A-90 for 2" hitch ball or # C40085 for a 2-5/16" hitch ball.
