This has been an amazing multipurpose ball mount. We purchased this to use with our Hollywood Bike Rack and also to connect onto our boat. We weren't sure if this would work, but it was awesome. It is very well built and We had to make some minor adjustments to the position of our boat on the trailer so the turning radius of the bike rack that was attached would clear the truck. This is very well made and solid.
Debbie - 04/22/2022We sold our small motor home and purchased a small travel trailer. This hitch provided a perfect solution to how to use our bike rack while towing the trailer. It even allows room for the pickup tailgate to be lowered without removing the bikes from the rack. The hitch is very hefty with a high weight limit - plenty for the GVW of the trailer (7,000#) plus 125# of rack and bikes.
Ray H - 12/22/2021Once the bike rack and the ball are installed there is only 3" of space for the trailer coupler to attach to the ball. Mine open hitch height is 4 ½”, most others are similar. I cannot think of any trailer/rack combination that this could even be used for. The only way it could be used would be to hitch up the trailer then attach the rack then load the rack over the trailer. Not a good or safe proposition. The only way to detach the trailer would be to unload the rack and then remove it from the mount.

Stephen E - 06/17/2021Disappointing. Although the manufacturing quality is consistent with Curt's normally high standards, the design leaves everything to be desired. There is not enough clearance above the trailer tongue coupler latch to mount a bike rack. Even if you somehow manage to overcome this, most bike racks won't clear a telescoping jack stand. I should have sent this one back!

I also purchased the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver so I could mount the light and still be able to tow with out switching them out. Both Product's are perfect for my needs. This was recommended to us to stop the holder we were using to carry my medical scooter from dragging on the ground and as you can see the lower part of it dragged on the ground and made it even worse and that was advice from them I have no idea how there's so many ratings for this that are above average. The cage or lift that we had on our vehicle from this company dragged all the time not a good product

Will be towing a travel trailer and needed a connection for a bike rack. When all installed, have plenty of room for placing bikes on bike rack. Really like this product!
Extremely heavy duty. I will be towing a small aluminum boat behind our camper, and will build a 2 X 2 tube assembly to carry the spare tire on. I needed something to help carry my trailer spare as the hitch on the camper is mounted in such a way that I couldn't hang my spare tire on the bumper. This assures a way to carry the spare as well as tow my fishing boat! Mike

I originally thought this would work for a pop up camper and adding the bike rack. We have a Thule rack with a Jayco camper. It does not work at all for this set up. However, the product is excellant quality and delivery was prompt. I would recommend it for some other type of set up but not what I described above. I have to send it back.
The effectiveness of the Curt Multi-Purpose ball mount # D210 used for both hitch mounted accessories is dependent on the configuration of the trailer, cargo on the trailer, and the hitch mounted accessories. Using this with a bike rack is always interesting and you have to account for the hitch location on the towing vehicle, the configuration of the bikes, and the trailer set up. It is very easy for turning radius to be effected by all of these things. We do have other options such as towing bike racks and trailer mounted bike racks that you might consider. I have provided links to both of these product categories for you to view and see what may work best for your specific application.

It will also allow more room to open the rear lift gate. Product appears to be of high quality but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Shipping was fast.
Doug T - 07/19/2016This worked perfectly for me to haul my small pop up camper and my bike rack. It is very sturdy and easy to install and remove. I usually take it off at the campground so I can get my other supplies out of the back of my SUV without knocking my shins on it.
Deborah - 04/11/2019This dual hitch got done what I needed it to do. If there is a downside, it's that I had to take my bicycle off of the rack, then take the rack off of the hitch, to take the trailer off of my pickup. This was inconvenient when at a motel with limited parking where I couldn't pull through 2 spaces to park as a unit. This would, of course, add about 4" of height. I needed a 4" drop on the one I have for my Yukon (dual receiver), which allowed that trailer removal. Take this as an observation, not a complaint.
I bought the Curt D210 Multipurpose Ball mount to raise the level of a Kuat platform bike rack with extender for 4 bikes from my Drawtite hitch on a 2007 Toyota Sienna. Service from eTrailer was superb, the mount is extremely well-built, and it fits my Sienna/hitch like a glove. We used the rack with 4 road bikes on two trips this week-end and it worked flawlessly; not even a minor scrape through many driveways and turn-ins. The system does move the rack back a few inches; 50.5" from the bumper, so we needed a red flag on the end (at least in MO). This is the only nit in an otherwise great product.
This product would have been perfect if the manufacturer made the upper accessory hitch higher from the lower ball. As it is, if you have an accessory mounted, you have to remove it to be able to unhitch the trailer since you cannot open the lock. Makes for a very awkward trailer and accessory combo. If you think you can keep your bike rack attached, drop off the trailer and go biking.....think again. You must remove bikes, remove bike rack, disconnect trailer and reinstall bike rack and bikes. Really????? Either the drop for the ball should have been a bigger drop or upper hitch higher.
I have 10' xterra and I ordered this so could tow my pop up and use a bike rack. it showed up looking just like the picture. I have a Yakima 4 bike rack and it fit fine. But the catch is I had to hook up the camper and the put the rack on. Then take the bike rack off to unhook the camper. It's trivial but it takes time. Also with your bike rack loaded with bikes watch your turns so your bikes don't hit stuff like your propane tank. Remove bike tires if necessary. Overall it's a sturdy hitch and I have no big complaints.
Got this to use with and over/under hitch receiver so we could carry a kayak while towing a travel trailer with our pick-up. It didn't work as it extended too far to interfere with the trailer bike carrier when turning or changing grades. Also very wobbly in the receiver with no good place to attach the supporting rope ties. Also prevents putting your tailgate down, so not a good solution for us. Gave it away.
perfect product. very useful. allowed me to tow my double jetski trailer from ny to fla and take my bicycles out side my suv freeing up much room inside. also at home no need to continually switch hitches.
Raised receiver portion was exactly what I needed to attach my cargo carrier, as my Grand Caravan Receiver was too low to the ground.
This is a high quality product and delivered on time. Unfortunately this product doesn't work in my situation, there is interference on the boat trailer coupling and the bike rack in which the boat trailer cannot clear between the 2 inch trailer ball and the attached bike rack. The clearance between the bike rack and trailer is just enough for the trailer tongue coupler to pass through If there was an option to have a 4 inch drop on the trailer connection this could work well
First, let me say that eTrailer is fast, easy, and well-priced. Just received this ball mount and tried it on my Tacoma pulling a Jayco Jay Feather 17C hybrid. Works like a charm. The only issue is that the bike tires MAY hit the dual propane tanks if I really jack knife, but I can probably strap the tires together to avoid it.
I had a need to tow a boat and carry two bicycles from Norfolk, VA to Seattle WA when I discovered this "dual" tow bar. Solved my problem, was reasonably priced and worked perfectly. Rock solid construction. Would recommend to everyone with the same type need
