Wonderful product. I had the hitch installed in 10 minutes. The wiring was a little more tricky because it required running a power wire all the way to the battery. I towed my trailer from Florida to Tennessee and back. Etrailer is still wonderful to deal with as they always have been in the past. My hitch came in a couple of days. I wouldn't think of ordering from any one else.

Fits perfectly into my new hitch with the perfect length and rise for my 2011 Fiesta. Build quality seems good with thick metal and good welds.

I had to devise shims to prevent an annoying rattle even with my trailer attached .

Hi Jerry, Thanks for your feedback! I would recommend using the Pro Series Anti-Rattle Device, part # 63090
Pro Series Anti-Rattle Device for 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receivers

, to help reduce the rattling in the hitch receiver.

Well-made product and is holding up well after a year's use. I also purchased the hitch receiver and have no complaints on either product. Definitely recommend Curt products.

etrailer is smart. They ask for a review a year later and not 10 minutes after you buy the product. That gives you a chance to install it and use it. This receiver has done as I expected. It was an easy install and works well. The only downside to date was me. I left the hitch attached to the car/receiver and a guy walked around my car, kind of close to it and tripped over the ball mount/draw bar. Ouch!! Love etrailer and my hitch assembly.

Couldn't tow with out this, though I am using it the opposite way of the photo. I would love to get one that has double or even triple the "raise" I get from this one, I still have to jack up the car with a hydraulic floor jack I carry with me, otherwise the trailer could not be put on the car.

Comments
Thank you for your review. The ball mount that fits a one and a quarter inch hitch with the most rise available is part BR39FR with a five and a half inch rise. The Brophy ball mount is the same length as your current ball mount at seven and a quarter inches long. If you are looking for a ball mount that is less expensive, I recommend part C45014 which has a five inch rise and is 9 and five eighths inches long.

i placed an order through etrailer and received the first shipment on time as expected, though after trying to install the receiver I realized that it was for the 4 door version of my car instead of the coupe. I called them instantly and within 5 minutes of talking to their customer service i had a new receiver on the way to my door step. The customer service here is amazing and they do their best to take care of their customers. The new part was received and fit just as intended. it is high quality and looks amazing!!!! I would recommend them for any and all trailer needs.

I ordered a receiver for a 2014 Subaru Impreza, and a drawbar and hitch cover. The package arrived a bit beat up, but nothing was missing or damaged. I intend to use the receiver for a bicycle mount and the drawbar (with an eyebolt) as a rear tie-down for kayaks and probably won't really tow anything. The online video on how to thread the carriage bolts and anti-spin washers was excellent as were the printed instructions. The fish wire (two different ones) was included and was 'threaded' or coiled to hold the threads of each bolt quite firmly. The stiffness of the wire was perfect. I used a 'step drill' to enlarge the two front holes in the frame (these new frames aren't made with a real heavy gauge metal, btw) The step drill made a near-perfect round hole vs a Dremel type device that others have used, but either would be fine. Wear goggles to protect your eyes from flying metal shards, please, but don't be intimidated by the project! You will most likely need a helper; my wife threaded the nuts on the bolts while I held up the roughly 30 pound hitch. I also gooped the top of the hitch with black silicone caulk to waterproof the connection. I had no need for the spacers and the receiver was about a half inch from the bottom of the bumper and flush -to -slightly- in from the back of the car. Etrailer does offer tracking now, so earlier criticisms--if valid then--have been acted upon. Delivery to Cleveland area from Mo. was two to three days. I just wish they offered a device for the front area of the vehicle for tie-down lines for the kayaks (hint, hint, but I have a plan for that). Secure and satisfied.

The product came as the order indicated it would be. However, since the hitch is my son's and he will use it on an ATV trailer connection, it has not been tried out yet. I think it will be the solution that he has been looking for. The ATV and trailer are at the son's cabin (about 1.5 hr. drive) and will be another week or 10 days before we test out if the hitch will work. I will send feedback after that.

I purchased both the trailer hitch for my 2007 Honda Element and the wiring harness. The products came shipped to me on time and packaged very well. Installation of the hitch was extremely easy. Only thing I would recommend is to use a drill bit file instead of a drill to enlarge the hole to mount the hitch because it doesn't really need to be enlarged that much more. The wiring harness was also extremely easy to install. I suggest using the videos on YouTube because those helped to make things a little clearer. I am extremely satisfied with the products and value that I received from this company. I would recommend it highly.

I spent around $175 for a what I thought to be a complete hitch installation and apparently the lousy $2.00 receiver pin was too much cost for etrailer to include. So now I get the pleasure to travel 25 miles to buy that pin locally. Amazon looks better every day.

Comments
Our description states that the hitch pin and clip or locking hitch pin is sold separately. This is to allow our customers to choose the approiate lock that they may need, or mayalready have for their accessories. If you would like the standard hitch pin that would be used for this item is a F-4. Or a locking version as part C23517.

I have never regretted ordering through etrailer. As always, this order arrived precisely on-time. The wiring for trailer lights proceeded exactly as expected. The online video describing the installation was very helpful with no surprises encountered while following the instruction. Don't forget to order a hitch pin. Surprisingly, it wasn't included with the drawbar.

- C45521
by:

The hitch receiver and ball mount arrived together and much faster than I would have expected (2 days). When there was a question about installation (I did it myself) customer service answered my question quickly and it all came together fast. I could not have been happier with the whole experience. The whole unit has been working just fine, as expected. And the price is hard to beat.

Fit perfectly, and works just as advertised. Great customer service to help with my purchase when the original product I'd ordered was not available. Ordered the next best option, and I'm very happy with the results. etrailer has always been an excellent source for my towing needs. Only complaint is the draw bar didn't come with a pin, but sourced one locally with no problem.

Etrailer was recommended by other Mini Cooper drivers in Anchorage, AK. I needed a trailer hitch in a rush as I need to relocate back to the lower 48 because of COVID-19. Jennifer at etrailer was so helpful in getting the right hitch and all the necessary collateral pieces for the install. I was concerned that it might take too long to get the hitch, but Jennifer made sure I had the hitch within 5 days! I am happy to say that the hitch is installed and I’m ready to hit the road! Thank you so much, Jennifer and etrailer!

- C45521
by:

This part was a disappointment. The design is very poor for the application on my car. If I installing as intended, the trailer hitch is far too low to the ground. When I install it upside down to get more height, the tongue mashed into the bumper cover. I stuck on some foam window seal material on the hitch, where it makes contact with the bumper, in hopes it won’t damage the finish on my bumper. Either the tongue needs to be Linder, or the hold for the lock pin needs to be repositioned.

- C45521

I have a 2006 Corolla, and I wanted to pull stuff like a small fishing boat or a utility trailer. This is the proper drawbar for rise height and length with my trailers. Call etrailer.com to make sure you're ordering the correct one for yours. I choose Curt products because of their quality manufacturing standards. I bought from etrailer.com because of their outstanding customer service and fair pricing. Now I'm haulin!

- C45521
by:

The draw bar is just fine. I do wish that it had come with the pin and it’s safety clip. These items did not come with it. A little disappointing on that point.

Comments
Philip, Thank you for your review. If you need a standard pin and clip for this ball mount I would recommend part F-4. If you would like a locking pin I recommend part RH2-XL.

Thanks for the diagram, very well done there! You've got roughly a 1-1/2 inch height difference between the inside top of the receiver tube and the underside of the coupler (14 inch coupler height minus 12.875 receiver height), so I'd go with a ball mount that provides a 2 inch rise like # 3593.
