I installed the trailer wiring and a friend helped install the hitch. Etrailer website is excellent. I got the right items on time and the fit is better than my wife’s dealer installed hitch. Videos on the etrailer site are clear and correct. One caveat, don’t try installing the hitch without at least one other person and having a way to lift the car(we used ramps) is a great help. The only possible way etrailer could be any more helpful is if they could recruit some local shops that would be willing to do the installation. I especially like having my wiring in the passenger compartment when not in use. It keeps it out of the Salt here in the northeast.

I haven’t installed this yet on my 1994 mustang gt. The quality looks great as far as wields and powder coating. Price was great as well. I had a great experience calling and having all my questions answered. The best part was seeing the hitch installed on a mustang similar to mine to see the fit and finish. That is what really drew me into this purchase

I got a hitch for my Honda accord it was extremely easy to install took less time than they estimate after I installed it I bought a trailer and have hauled various things already with no problem I would recommend e trailer to anyone

This is a great product. I really appreciate the quality. This was also a car I was having difficulty finding a trailer hitch for. So thanks again for a good product.

Rcvd my hitch today (one day earlier than predicted by etrailer when I ordered...well done!). Everything was received as expected/requested. Crawled under the car and started installation immediately. Piece of cake really; although some people would struggle with the tight space, 13 year old car, and need to clean threads, and remove caulk/undercoat in order to achieve "hole alignment". Hyundai also did a great job by having pre-threaded welded nuts in place. So far.... a great product received in time to use this weekend (as was my plan). Great job and great product by etrailer. Also, the website was easy to use and the videos quite helpful. I will be back! Thank you, 2008 Hyundai Sonata

Achieved the pro height and length for my boat trailer.

- 3592
by:

Fit was perfect, installation very easy for both the trailer hitch and wire harness (simple followed instructions). It is used for light duty, pulling a kayak and trailer with a total weight less than 600 pounds. Also is used with a bike rack. It works great for my use. On the trailer the ground for lights were run all the way to the the wiring harness, in-other words, the lights were NOT grounded to the trailer (to much problem with improper grounding).

I am pleased with the tow hitch I received to use with my drawtite receiver hitch. I have it primarily as a way to move my Demco dolly if I have to , and it is fine for that light duty use. It was shipped well packed and was delivered with the receiver hitch. I am very satisfied with the drawtite products and the service provided by etrailer.

Yes, everything is working perfectly.

The instructions with the Accord say that "Hitch should only be used in the RISE position" with no further description, simple enough to search, but would have been nice for them to provide a picture or say that the rise position is basically where the hitch ball attachment angles upward and the ball sits on top of that... the hitch ball mount is intuitively used in the drop or angled downward position most of the time. Rise postion: _0_ __/ Drop position: __ \_0_ (their picture for the product is in the drop position, rise position is flipping it upside down.)

Being completely clueless and brand new to the towing/trailer world, I ordered mismatched parts. Roger R immediately reached out to me to ensure I had what I needed to properly install my hitch. I'm completely impressed with the customer service and affordability of etrailer.com and will recommend it to anyone... now to just get the parts installed and go get on the water!!

Well a draw bar is a draw bar but Etrailer delivered mine in two days at half the price of my local store who claimed it wasn't possible to get a 9" drawbar with a 2 1/8" height, which is what I need for my motorcycle trailer. I also bought my Draw Tite hitch for my Mazda3 at Etrailer and that arrived in less than a week and fit the car perfectly. Excellent hardware as well.

by:

Everything came as described and packed well. I did not even have to lower the exhaust. Fit right in and with only 3 attachment points, I had the hitch on in a little over 30 minutes! I have towed several times with it so far and seems to be doing well. Thanks!

I ordered two hitches and harnesses for a Mazda 3 and Honda CRV and while the products were everything they were supposed to be I was very impressed with the two customer service reps I dealt with. Very polite and efficient. This company has it together.

Great drawbar, although I ended up using a different one due to what I decided to pull. One thing I would say to improve, is that the clip should be a lot stronger. (seemed a bit easy to pull out)

I ordered products online. I had trouble with the order it was my fault pushing buttons. I called them and spike to someone and she told the order and said it had went threw fine...it was shipped ups easy tracking the order. It came 1 day earlier than etrailer said it would. Ups deliver to my front door....everything I ordered was in a well packed box. Product was clean and everything to install......i haven't installed it yet but planning on the next month... I will updated on the fit and provide finished install.... I am very pleased and will order and would recommend them from the professional services they have provided.... Thanks

  • Can Class I Hitch Vehicle Tow Trailer Designed for Motorcycle
As long as you have the correct trailer wiring on the tow vehicle to match what the trailer needs and the correct hitch ball size and drop there's no reason you couldn't tow a small trailer designed for a motorcycle with a vehicle that has a Class I hitch.

  • Could a 2014 Subaru Outback Tow a 5x8 Trailer Loaded with Mulch
You will first need to determine what the towing capacity is for your 2014 Subaru Outback and then determine how much your trailer will weigh when it is loaded at its max. I attached and FAQ article on determining tongue weight that should be very helpful. If you determine that your trailer weighs less than the max capacities listed for your vehicle then you would have no problem using your vehicle to tow your trailer. You will also want to make sure that your trailer is being towed as...

  • Why do Some Ball Mounts Have a Drop and Rise and Others Only have a Rise
Some ball mounts, generally Class I and Class II ball mounts, are designed by the manufacturer for use in the rise position only. These ball mount designs are intended for use with vehicles that require a rise only and would be too low to the ground to ever need a lower ball mount. Ball mounts listed with a rise only should not be used in the lowered position because the manufacturer has not tested them for use in that position.
