Due to being upside down under the Saturn, and working on it late at night to get my order in, I ordered the wrong drawbar, again Tammie saved the day, she called me, informed me that the hitch I ordered would not fit, and that she held the order until she got a hold of me, etrailer is a great company

The hitch ball fit perfectly on the Drawbar 4" Rise that I also ordered from etrailer.com. Thank you for your advice and prompt service. I am attaching the photo again that shows the Drawbar and the hitch ball that I purchased.

My family is very happy we discovered this company. We ordered a trailer hitch for our Mazda 6 and all the necessary wiring connectors. It was installed by a trailer company in 25 minutes. We can now pull our POP-UP camping trailer. Service with etrailer was phenomenal, easy to order & fast. We are very happy.

nicely made and finished; the pin that connects the tongue with the receiver is well designed because the cotter pin fits around a groove rather then sliding through a hole that will eventually rust and be difficult to pull through if you want to remove the tongue.

The Draw-Tite reciever and drawbar are perfect. I have installed several receivers before and this is as easy as it gets. The draw wires for the bolts are great, but don't skip the safety goggles. I was torquing the bolts after just 20 minutes - awesome. I took longer hooking up the wiring.

The hitch was a breeze to install on my 2013 Honda Fit, and gutting the rear interior panels to install the 4 pole adapter was easy and fun. It took us an hour and a half to get the job done with two people. It would take a bit longer as a solo job, but it's a very simple install, and would be doable alone using blocks. Wiring tested fine on the trailer. There is a little play in between the drawbar and the hitch receiver, but it's nothing worth worrying about for light towing applications. Drawtite drawbar and Drawtite hitch receiver are made for one another, and I would definitley recommend this solution to anyone looking to tow a kayak or small sport frame trailer with a 2013 Fit.

Excellent product! This works great for my 2019 Kia Soul Plus and provides the proper clearance needed to hook up a trailer.

- 3594
by:

This gives just the extra lift I need to tow a trailer behind my Honda Fit. The Fit is low, even with its stock suspension. Airbags in coil springs stop it from sinking lower, but my trailer tongue was still so low I could not use the tongue jack. Now I should be able to, as the trailer tongue will ride a bit higher than with the bar that came with my etrailer "Hidden Hitch".. This bar is solid, hefty, and appears set to be useful as long as I have my car. The extra length will also work for me.

Comments
It would have been fine but I put larger wheels and tires on my trailer after 18,000 miles, so have replaced this with another with 5/8 more lift. Otherwise Id still be using it!

  • Lock Pin Hole Measurement for Class I Hitch
The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the drawbar is 1-9/16 inches. This is a Class I drawbar. Class II drawbars will not fit in the Class I hitch and have a distance of approximately 2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the drawbar.

  • Compatability of Bike Rack Part # 63120 and Draw-Tite Class 1 Hitch part # 24807
The hitch you have, Draw-Tite part # 24807 is a Class 1 hitch. There are two different classes of 1-1/4 inch hitches, Class 1 and 2. Class 2 drawbars and bike racks will not fit Class 1 hitches. Class 1 hitches have a lower rating than Class 2 and to prevent people from accidentally exceeding capacities the manufacturers make it so that heavier Class 2 accessories are too long to be used in Class 1 hitches. But you can still use Class 1 accessories in Class 2 hitches. The bike rack you...

  • Does Suspension Sag Factor When Picking Out Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount
Sounds like you are asking about how to pick out a ball mount that allows the trailer to sit as level as possible. Ideally you go with the rise/drop that allows the trailer to sit totally level with it loaded. Since significant sag isn't always present it may not have been addressed directly enough in our help article on the subject. But when I recommend a ball mount for someone I typically will recommend going with the drop that's a little higher than measured for this reason. But suspension...

  • Why Are Hitch Adapters for 1-1/4 inch Hitch Not to Be Towed With
Hitch adapters create quite a bit of leverage and movement in the hitches they are installed in. Since 1-1/4 inch hitches are very low in capacity already it's not a good idea to use an adapter like the part # HTAD to tow with. You'd just need to get a 1-1/4 inch ball mount to fit the hitch and there'd be no need for an adapter like the # 3594.
