Re-insert the pins once you have found the correct height. Switching the hitch ball is just as easy. Simply remove the pins holding the ball platform in place and slide the platform off of the shank. Flip the platform upside down so that the ball you want to use is on top. Then slide the ball platform back onto the shank and replace the pins and clips.

Feels well built but after only a few uses the ball is loose and can’t be tightened. Guess I should’ve listened to the other reviews. A loose ball with a 15k lb loaded trailer is obviously not desirable. Bangs around all the time. Save up and buy a premium product.

by:

Initially this hitch seemed solid and well built, but within a year the ball assembly was so loose that I no longer felt comfortable using it. When I contacted the company they said the slop was normal and would not be honoring their warranty by sending a replacement. They would sell me another hitch that they make that has a fix for the problem though! I said no thanks and bought a Bulletproof hitch, which is better in every way.

by:

Impressive thick solid steel I-beam construction on the main shaft, and solid steel ball mount. Both are extremely well built, and excellent fit and finish. Easy to adjust drop or rise in just seconds.

by:

Has been a great hitch, no issues whatsoever after a year. It could be a little less sloppy in the receiver, but overall a great hitch.

by:

If own a truck with a 2 1/2 hitch box this is the tow hitch ball kit! This is the Hulk of hitches! Great quality and durability. There is nothing I can tow or pull out of out of a muddy ditch! I’ve owned many truck and bought hitches. This is my first time with a 2 1/2 box and I feel very confident. The best hitch I’ve ever owned!

It’s a great product! I get asked a lot from co-workers where I bought it. I’d refer them to etrailer for all your towing needs and much more.

by:

Definitely a best buy, best value. Would buy again. Hauled heavy trailers no problem

by:

Best hitch I’ve ever used. It’s heavier than I expected, but then again, I’ve never owned a hitch rated for 20k lbs and 2k tongue weight. As beefy as this hitch is, it doesn’t extend the ball mount too far out like others, to where the chains barely reach sometimes. Can’t beat the price, similar weight rated hitches can go for double the price of this one, and honestly if price where the same, I’d still choose this one. Normally anything I tow over 10k lbs, is gooseneck trailers. Today I moved this tiny home that weighed in at 13k lbs and 2k tongue, about 50 miles away. Did not have a problem traveling at speed limit with hardly any swaying.

by:

Product came in 4 days of ordering, very heavy duty feel. Can't wait to actually hook it to the my dump trailer later this weekend. I do wish there was a way to lock the ball head to the hitch.

If you want Fastway does offer FA86-00-4225 as a locking option. One of the locks is for locking the adjustable ball platform, and the other lock is to lock the shank in your receiver.

by:

The product was as expected, looked good, installation was straight forward & accomplished in approximately 15 minutes including unpacking.
However a longer warranty would instill more confidence in the hitch.

It’s great

by:

3 stars only because of the powder coat they chose. It's already faded and there is rust coming off of it. Besides that I love the hitch. Super heavy duty. Its solid steel so it ain't light. Which is nice because it doesnt rattle around in your receiver. I've towed 15k on the 2 5/16" ball, no problem. Heaviest tow on the 2" ball was about 10k and no problem. I do wish they made a pintle hitch adapter for this hitch. I needed one so I built one out of 3/8" plate steelbut it would be nice of Fastway made one

I am attaching a rust prevention help article to help you rid the ball mount of rust. Fastway does not have a pintle option but I can recommend this BW one, item # BWTS10056 as it is about the same weight rating you need. Here is the clevis adapter Item # BWTS35200B.

Still using the hitch. Works great. I didnt use any rust prevention but it hasnt rusted any more than normal. I love this hitch setup. Easy to use, a little on the heavy side but I like that. Stays on my truck 247

by:

I haven't pulled with it yet, but out of the box it seems very sturdy. I like the finished gloss black. I believe if your gonna use an adjustable hitch you need to invest in an anti rattle stabilizer since there is two parts of the hitch that can rattle. (The reciever and the hitch adjustment)

by:

Haven’t towed with it yet, but I’m pleased with it for the price. After research I determined this hitch doesn’t push the ball a mile away from the truck like some other adjustable ball mounts. For the ratings it can’t be beat for the price. Extremely fast shipping from etrailer.com.

by:

I would say it be hard to beet this hit ch

by:

Solid hitch! If you haul heavy loads and worry about you current hitch, this is the one you need to remove those concerns.

by:

Extremely heavy duty. Easy to change heights. Only thing that could make it any better would be a pin lock on adjustable part of receiver

by:

Installation is easily done in 30 minutes in the driveway. Some maneuvering is needed to get the Curt receiver past the factory receiver mounting brackets. There is a clearance issue between the Curt receiver and a factory crossmember on both sides which can be remedied by adding a 3/4" grade 8 washer between the receiver and the frame on each side. It is easiest to torque down the four vertical bolts before installing the two horizontal ones as they interfere with getting a socket on the two rear vertical bolts. Curt did a good job eliminating all failure points (bolts) on the receiver hitch itself and the welds are solid. Overall the Curt receiver is overkill in a good way and it would be hard for even a good fabricator to design one that is stronger. Included are pictures of how it looks on a relatively tall factory height 2009 Dodge 3500 DRW with a 6" Fastway drop and 1220 pounds of tongue weight.

by:

Well pleased with hitch. Strong enough to pull my dump trailer.

by:

Arrived quickly. Product was packaged we'll and in good condition when it arrived. All pieces came as stated in ad. The ball mount fit perfectly.

After one year I have used this mount assembly many times. Its has performed flawlessly. I have removed and reinstalled it many times with no problems. The finish has held up very well.

by:

Heavy Duty and adjustable for various towing needs. Gives you a piece of mind when towing your trailer.

by:

I order this item for a gentlemen in the catering business to pull multiple size ball trailers. I installed it yesterday on his truck and he was totally amazed with the quality and happy to know he did not have to carry multiple receiver hitches.
He had just purchased a new truck and he loved it.
Thanks

GREAT

by:

I chose this product because it gave me the full towing capacity of my GMC AT4 3500, the cleanest look for an adjustable height hitch, and the quick ability to switch between two ball sizes. The ordering was easy and shipping was quick, and this thing is heavy duty. Love it!

I have a PJ power tilt trailer and with this hitch I have hauled it loaded across town and across country with no issues. I still believe I made the best choice.

by:

Amazing hitch! I have it on my 17’ ram 2500 and I couldn’t be happier! Very sold construction and switching from a 2 5/16 - 2 inch ball is flawless and easy, thank you etrailer for have the best service around

Still amazing! Have thrown every type of weather at it here in Colorado and it is still holding strong!

by:

This is awesome. I used to have a ball and a receiver for the three kinds of trailers I pull, Now I use this one for all my trailer needs. It also has a 12,000 limit with a 2"ball so pulling a Mini excavator or skid steer loader with no worries of exceeding the limits.

  • Adjustable 2-Ball Mount For a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD For Towing a 13,000LB Trailer
Yes, you will be able to use the Flash Solid Steel HD Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # FA49-00-5625 with your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 as long as you do not have the MultiPro tailgate. If you have the MultiPro tailgate I recommend using the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS20066BMP as it will still allow you to use the functions of your tail gate with the hitch in the receiver. With the 2-5/16" ball it is rated for up to 18,000lbs and will be enough for towing your 13,000lb trailer. If...

If the top of your hitch ball is about an inch different in height than the top of your coupler this is actually okay.
