Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Gen-Y 2-Ball Mount. This is going to give you the two hitch balls to allow you to hook your trailer up to your towed vehicle. The shank here will slide right into your 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver on your vehicle. You can see it does have the hitch pin hole here, but they do not include a hitch pin and clip or a lock, you probably already have one for your hitch, but if not, it's just your standard 5/8 inch diameter pin hole there, so you can use a 5/8 inch inch diameter pin and clip. We have lots of options available here at etrailer.com, we also have locking pins if you wanna add a little extra security, make sure that this stays on your hitch when you're not around.
And then the balls are going to then provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. You are gonna get two different sized hitch balls here, so that you can tow trailers with different coupler sizes. They are easy to just pull out and flip over and get reinstalled depending on the size that you need, so you have a two inch ball here and a 2 5/16 inch ball. Our two inch ball is going to give us a gross towing weight capacity of 16,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds, our 2 5/16 inch ball is going to give us a gross towing weight of 21,000 pounds and a gross tongue weight of 3,000 pounds, and that's because of the durable steel construction, so it is gonna hold up really well, give you a lot of strength. Does have this matte black powder coat finish, and that's also gonna help resist rust and corrosion, so it will hold up well for us for a long time to come.
It is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is gonna be high quality standards in its construction, and so, it will do a good job for you. As you can see our measurement from the center of our hitch pin hole there to the center of our ball, we're looking at right about, I'm gonna say it's about 8 3/4 of an inch. So that gives you an idea of how far this is gonna stick out from your hitch pin hole on your hitch. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..

Was glad to find hitch with 3 ball sizes so I didn't have to buy multiple hitches.
Very heavy Duty! Balls are welded on so don't need to worry about nuts coming loose. Had the highest tough weight of 3000 lbs and 21000 lbs towing capacity for the 2 5/16 ball. Great ball mount if you pull heavy trailers with 1 ton or dually that has the high bumper pulling capacity.
Very nice hitch ended up being too short for the need I had. Super sturdy unit if it was not for length issue, would have covered for sure.

Tow a 15,000lb trailer with this hitch almost daily. It has been in use for right at a year and shows no sign of giving up anytime soon. These are the only hitches i buy from here on out, they have been put on all 22 of our trucks!
Strong hitch at a good price. Never use the 1 7/8” ball but I wish the 2 in ball and 2 5/16 were at 90 degrees to each other instead of 180. When my dump trailer is loaded tongue heavy and I’m on a hill it bottoms out sometimes.
This receiver hitch is super strong and I love the fact there is no slack when towing. The solid shank receiver is a must for those who tow heavy loads!!
Real heavy duty ball mount. Has towed large boat up and down east coast multiple times with confidence. Other things might fail but this mount will not be my problem. Highly recommended
Product is great. Shipping is SLOW……. Product showed in stock for took several days to ship. Most likely won’t be ordering again from etrailer..

The hitch works fantastic easy to swap around so you can use different size balls. And pin length to ball length is very good. Easy to use would recommend to anyone.
