Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the TowSmart ball mount. This is gonna be a two inch ball mount with a four inch rise, or a five and a quarter inch drop. So, this is gonna be an entry level ball mount, with a 5,000 pound trailer weight and a 500 pound tongue weight. So, you are just going to get the ball mount. The hitch bolt is not included, so you can get one appropriate for a trailer size, and the hitch pinning clip is not included, either.
You can find those as well as hitch locks here at etrailer.com. This just slide into your hitch receiver. You line it up with the hitch pin holes. You get your hitch pin. This is gonna be a standard five eighths hitch pin.
We have it in our drop position right now. That gives you the five and a quarter inch drop, that's measured from your top inside edge of your hitch receiver to where your hitch ball sits. So, this will help you with figuring out how well it will carry your trailer. You can put this into the rise position by just taking the ball mount, flipping it around, and now it's in the rise position. You are gonna have to take your hitch ball off, flip it around as well, and then retorque it to spec.
This is made of a durable steel. And if you're leaving this outside, it's gonna be exposed to the elements. It does have a black powder coat finish to help resist corrosion. The shank is a two inch shank, or for two by two inch hitch receivers, and it is a hollow shank. And when you're ready to use it, just line it up with your trim and lower it onto the appropriate hitch ball.
Always make sure that your safety chains are hooked up and your wiring's hooked up, and that your trailer is latched before you hit the road. So, this is a great entry level ball mount if you just need a simple and easy ball mount that gives you this specific exact rise and drop that you need. Now, with this in mind, if you need something more or something less, this is not adjustable. We have some other options here at etrailer, like the Flint Hill Goods adjustable ball mount for a different rise or a different drop. Also, remember with the TowSmart ball mount, you are going to need the pin and clip, as well as the hitch ball that is appropriate for your trailer, so make sure to find those here on our website. And that was a look at the TowSmart two inch ball mount. You had the four inch rise, as well as the five and a quarter inch drop. And you saw its features and measurements here at etrailer.com.

Corrosion-resistant ball mount for your 2" receiver has channels that expel moisture to prevent seizing in the hitch. Use in rise or drop position. This worked well to get the kayak trailer to trim evenly when towing with my pickup truck. etrailer makes it easy to get what I need for my trailers.
Seems solid, but I'm a little annoyed it doesn't come with a hitch pin. I just assumed it would, as that part doesn't really cost anything and is necessary for this to work.
Exactly what I wanted. Also I like the squared off end rather than the slant cut
Worked great
Good quality construction........works great.
