Remember when gauging your trailer's tongue weight was such a hassle? It often involved wrestling with bathroom scales, which were far from accurate, or making a trip to the weigh station, which took time and effort. Or you had to buy a separate scale. With a Weigh Safe Hitch, it's super-simple. Just hook up your trailer to the ball mount like you would with any other hitch. The moment you connect, the weight of your trailer pushes down on the hitch ball, automatically giving you a measurement on the easy-to-read gauge. It's quick, hassle-free, and takes the guesswork out of towing. Now you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about whether your load is balanced.
The Weigh Safe Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your needs.

Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at our Weight Safe two ball ball mount with built-in scale for a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch shank with a six inch drop or seven inch rise. So folks, you're gonna get two balls. The 2 5/16 is rated at 18.5 and the two inch balls rated at 10,000 pounds. Now these increments can go up or down in one inch increments, and this is all aluminum. As far as the shank assembly here, that's all one piece, build aluminum and the head assembly with the built-in scale.
All of that is machine aluminum from one solid block construction. So you're getting greater strength, you're getting lightweight, but a nice strong rust corrosion resistant. The balls are stainless steel construction, very simple, heavy duty, one solid piece. Everything is very robust. Now what I like about this is you have your built-in scale, right So your tongue weight scale is built right into that ball mount platform.
That's gonna ensure and help that you have a balance on your trailer. It promotes safe towing and lets you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow. And it's a very simple operation that automatically provides you a measurement each and every time you couple your trailer. Now another thing is that it's gonna be efficient, hassle-free. It's gonna eliminate you needing to go pay for separate or commercial scales to make sure that you're safe and in reigns as far as your tongue weight and that kind of stuff.
Now this is considered a stowable design. So you could technically take this off this side, flip it around, put it behind here under this shank, and you could potentially tow with nothing here, freeing up this space behind your vehicle. Now come quick measurements. From the center of the ball to the center of this hitch pin hole here is 8 1/2 inches. From the center of the ball to the center of this hitch pin hole 9 5/8 inches.
The tongue weight for the whole unit is a rated of 2,200 pounds. And folks, I'm gonna really quickly show you how to go through here. It's actually pretty quick and painless and easy. So you get four keys. These are both keyed alike. You have a dust cover here, heavy duty rubber, a dust cover here, same thing, nice rubber, very simple, with the tube key design. It's not gonna be easily lock picked or anything. Simply take it off if you needed to pull that out of the vehicle. Let's say you want to switch balls. So unlock this guy, pull up the dual locking pin assembly, take this assembly off. Now the scale assembly here, as you can see there's a pin back here. I very simply flip it over and you can see that pin ring drop. Pull the pin out, take the 2 5/16 inch ball off. Now you can see down inside there, there's just simply a piece of metal down there. That under there has the hydraulic fluid that gives you the weight. You put this guy back in making sure you're lining up the hole from the back, and all you simply do is put this pin back in that hole. You may have to twist a little bit to line it up, but once it's in the hole, as you can see, it's all flush back in there. Now I can take this, put it back where I need to go for the two inch ball. And I can simply put my lock back in, lock it down, and now I'm ready to go. Put my dust cover back on and I'm ready to tow, right So again, that quick, that simple. This is the Weigh Safe two ball ball mount with built-in scale for the 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch shank. I'm Steven, thanks for watching folks. I hope this information's been helpful. As always, stay safe while you're towing.
