Remember when gauging your trailer's tongue weight was such a hassle? It often involved wrestling with bathroom scales, which were far from accurate, or making a trip to the weigh station, which took time and effort. Or you had to buy a separate scale. With a Weigh Safe Hitch, it's super-simple. Just hook up your trailer to the ball mount like you would with any other hitch. The moment you connect, the weight of your trailer pushes down on the hitch ball, automatically giving you a measurement on the easy-to-read gauge. It's quick, hassle-free, and takes the guesswork out of towing. Now you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about whether your load is balanced.
The Weigh Safe Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your needs.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe Built In Scale Hitch with two Stainless Steel Balls for your two inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now this ball mount is going to slide into your two inch trailer hitch receiver, and it's going to give you two balls. As I mentioned, you're gonna get a two inch stainless steel ball, and a two and five 16th inch stainless steel ball. And this is going to give you a maximum drop of four inches in this orientation.
And then when you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of five inches. And the adjustment is going to be incremental of one inch. So one inch incremental adjustment. And so this is going to give you the height adjustability so you can tow trailers with different heights with the same vehicle. And the gross towing capacity with the two and five 16ths inch hitch ball is 12,500 pounds, as you can see there.
And then with the two inch ball, it's 8,000 pounds. And this has a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. Now this does feature a tongue weight scale that is built into the ball mount platform. This is going to help you balance your trailer for safer towing, and the scale's going to let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow. And this is gonna be a really simple operation.
This will automatically give you measurements every time you couple your trailer so it's efficient, it's hassle-free. And this is going to eliminate the need for separate or commercial scales. This also features a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height very simple. So I'm gonna go ahead and remove this rubber cover here that's going to protect the lock core from dust and debris. And I'm gonna use one of the four keys here.
By the way, this is all built keyed alike. So all four of these keys are gonna work with either the the dual pin slider lock or the hitch lock that we'll talk about in just the next minute or so. But I'm just gonna go ahead and insert this key, give it a turn. And then that's going to allow me to remove my dual pin slider lock. By the way, these pins and the housing are aluminum. and then the lock is plated steel, So this is in itself very durable and it's going to do a great job of resisting corrosion. So now I'm able to freely adjust the height here, or I could flip this over to provide a rise as well. So very easy. What I'm gonna do here is I also wanna show you how easy it is to swap the ball out. So I currently have my two and five 16ths inch ball in there. So I'm just going to tip this over here a little bit and pull this ring. Sometimes the pin will slide right out, other times it won't. So that's why it has that ring there, so you can pull it out. So with the pin out, that's going to let me remove the two and five 16ths inch ball. And I'm gonna drop in my two inch ball, line up the holes there, and then make sure that that's flush. And then I'm gonna go ahead and get my shank bath here and just drop that back in like so. So this is going to be just that simple to swap out the balls and make adjustments as needed. And what I really appreciate about all of this is everything operates very smoothly. You're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle, struggling to make those adjustments or to swap out the balls. It is just gonna be a very quick adjustment overall. Now as I mentioned, this does also include this hitch pin, this locking hitch pin here. It has a cap here to protect that keyway as well. So I'm just gonna grab these keys and it's gonna be very easy to remove. And something that I appreciate about this locking pin is I went ahead and locked that head up and I removed the key, and I do not need the key to lock this back into place, which is nice. So that's one less thing you'll have to worry about. As long as you have this locked and the keys removed, you can just snap it back in just like that and you're secured to go. So again, all four keys here that you're going to receive. It's all gonna be keyed alike, so the idea is you can use one key for everything here. And then I went ahead and took some measurements before our time together, just to give you an idea of the size. So measuring from the center of the first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, we're sitting at about eight and a half inches. Moving to that second hitch pin hole on center, nine and five eight inches. And then from the center of our second hitch pin hole to the end of our shank, about one in seven eights inches. This is V5 and J684 certified. But I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
