It works fine as a trailer hitch but the weight portion has never indicated the correct weight. Indicates less then 100lbs with true tongue weight of about 500 lbs
Used for over a year and product is great. No concerns.
First time I tried it...didn't work.

I Tow around 5-6 loads a month, this hitch worked great for about 4 months and the seal on the scale broke and filled the glass with oil. About two months after this happened the 2 5/16" ball had become a permanent part of the hitch... I've tried everything I can think of to get the pin out to switch to my 2" ball and haven't had any luck.

Great hitch. Really needed the full adjustable height to handle the different trailers I own. But I did not want something hanging down below the hitch like you get with a flip over set up that would impact my ability to back up my steep drive if in the lowest position. This hitch was perfect. Plus the integrated locking pins allows me to keep it on all the time without extra locking devices.

I purchased this 10” drop hitch & love it!
I was able to get the proper tongue weight for my 18ft flatbed trailer hauling my 4 door Jeep @ total of 7,000 lbs. Towing behind my 40ft diesel pusher.
First trip was about 400 miles to an off-road pearl. Worked great, Very satisfied!

I needed a new drop down hitch for my 2020 Ram 2500. I searched several sites and when I found the Weigh Safe hitch I knew my search was over. This hitch looks great on the website, but it was even more impressive when I received it. This hitch is a beast! It will handle anything I will ever ask of it. The ball mount is adjustable to any height - I won't have to worry about unlevel trailers again like I did with my old standard 7" drop down hitch. Outstanding hitch, and well worth the investment.

The hitch is very well made. Solid pieces of aluminum were used to make this. I will admit I seldom actually look at the scale feature in the hitch unless I'm really loading my trailer and worry about tongue weight or the lack of. I mostly look at the scale to make sure I have enough weight so the trailer doesn't sway. It is a quick way to know. Once I have the height adjusted I haven't changed it. I've pulled some serious loads using my Ford Super-duty Diesel and this hitch has worked great.

I just got the Weigh Safe hitch with ball and scale ahead of due date. The workmanship and finish are beautiful. I'm scared to use it as I don't want to get it dirty.

Expensive but worth every penny. I have multiple trailers i tow and use different ball sizes and different hitch heights. This makes adjusting easy and prevents overloading. My lightest trailer is 400 lbs and my heaviest fully loaded is 18k. This thing does it all.

Delivered missing the ball mount lock pins and keys (I think Part # WS10-2) which is a large inconvenience to me since I need it this coming week to pick up my new trailer. Called and the part is being sent but not in time for my first need and use. The response to the missing part was excellent but the shipment was missing the part making it useless for the time being.

etrailer.com has EVERYTHING! This hitch is excellent! Towing safety is a must. Knowing your tongue weight is a big key to making sure that your vehicle and your load are in the "sweet spot". Too much tongue weight can cause a lack of steering control. Too little and you can cause the trailer to swing. With this hitch no scale is needed, just hook up, check the dial, make any adjustments and your off.

Wanted a Class V adjustable hitch for my F350. The aluminum Weigh Safe 2-1/2" Hitch is just what I needed for my 2 trailers. Easy to adjust the ball height for each trailer. The 12,500 lb towing capacity is 2x over what I normally tow for a comfortable safety margin.

I've really enjoyed this hitch. I like this because if I set it at the lowest setting I don't worry about snapping the other ball like I would with some of the competitor's options. I have a few trailers, that are widely different in heights need. One is set at all the way to the top, the others are close to the bottom. for my travel trailer I've loved it because I can easily see the weight and have the ability have a good understanding of the weight of the trailer. I also love this for my enclosed trailer for the same reason.
It's easier to adjust the trailer with the "Single" pin. This makes it quicker to adjust height. The ability to adjust balls is a little longer, but that isn't a big enough concern to bring the value of the hitch down.
The one thing that I don't like about this is I have the Rock Tamer Mud Flap, and I love it, but because this is Aluminum it's not my favorite combination. This is not that fault of this hitch. I do kind of wish that I had the steel one for that reason. Overall I'm happy with this purchase. I've towed thousands of miles with it, and it's a dream.

Ordered the Weigh Safe drop ball mount WS10-25. Product I received looks used. The Weigh Safe sticker was missing and the hitch had gouge marks on the shaft and ball mount. This was probably a return item that was shipped to me. I'm very disappointed. For $309 I expect a new product, not a returned restock or used item in poor quality.
First time buying at etrailer. Most likely my last.

Out of the box it’s quite an art piece feels very strong and capible, it’s weight and material had me nervous at first but after putting it to the test on some of the nations worst roads with a very loaded trailer I wouldn’t hesitate to recomend to a friend, I did have a minor issue with mine right out of the box and etrailer.com addressed my every concern almost immediately got me to right people at weigh safe they have a very good customer service and back their product and warranty.

This hitch work fine as far weighing the trailer tongue weight but it has developed a lot of slack in all the connections and joints. When you stop or start it’s like a freight tran stopping and starting along with all the crashing and banging, very annoying to say the least.

Love this hitch. Watching the video on the etrailer site is what sold me on the product and it’s exactly the way it was presented.
We have 2 trucks of different heights and 3 trailers that use 2” and 2 5/16” balls. Changing out the different hitch balls takes about 30 seconds... No vise needed, no huge wrenches to torque the nut down.
I also purchased the available locking receiver pin, keyed the same as the adjustable hitch pin lock..
I also am very happy to know exactly what my trailer tongue weight is.
Easy to use, lightweight, multipurpose, and looks pretty cool, too.

Looks great, definitely adds a touch of class to what is ordinarily an unsightly part of the vehicle. I'm suspicious about the accuracy of the scale, as the entire range is large and any particular vehicle or trailer is only going to use a small faction of the whole scale, and the indicator doesn't move very much within that range.
