Designed for use with B&W's Turnoverball gooseneck hitch, this ball extender moves the pivot point of your trailer 4" rearward to provide additional cab clearance.This product is exactly what I needed to offset our new “Reese Goose-box” pin box to better accommodate the clearance for the fuel tank and tool box in the bed of our truck. Thanks to the knowledge of the “etrailer” staff (specifically Stacy) she went the extra mile, taking additional time to assure all the products I needed were perfect for my application. P.S. I added the yellow strip down the center of the pin box to help guide me when hooking up. Perhaps “Reese” will add this little idea to their future pin boxes as an option?
This hitch extender fit in perfectly. The height and 4 inches of movement really helped the gooseneck trailer to have more clearance. Thank you etrailer for having this BW 4 inch extension.
This works absolutely perfect in a Ram 3500 with 6 1/2 ft bed, and the Gen Y gooseball hitch.
I think if more people knew of this combination, the fifth wheel style hitch, Anderson hitch and others would become obsolete.

this offset ball has helped towing my fifth wheel, keeping it away from the truck cab when turning or backing tight. I would highly recommend this.

I haven’t used it yet, I am concerned about it being about 3/4” off the bed. I am thinking about pupping a spacer between it and the bed. Worried about it bending

Fast shipping... The B&W 4in extension hitch ball is really good. I have used it a couple of times works great wish I had gotten one sooner. Problem I had was in a newer 2500hd the gooseneck was to close to toolbox and really close to rear window. With this extender ball problem is solved...
Have an older 5th wheel style camper with a hitch adaptor, that coupled with newer style pickup boxes caused the camper to be to close to the box. This hitch helped a fair bit. It set the camper 1" higher off the box and 4" back to give more space between the bumper and camper which helps when hooking up.
Quality construction, fits perfectly. I needed as much clearance as possible after installing a sleeper cab on my Ram 3500. I utilized this as well as the B&W extenda-goose coupler which collectively made sharp turns easier.
Installing it on a 2016 Ram 2500 diesel crew cab swb with factory puck prep. Changed the factory goose ball out to a B&W turnoverball. Have not got to use it yet, but I am going to change to a Reese goosebox hitch on my 5th wheel

I have a 2005 F 250 crew cab short box. I changed from a 5th wheel for simplicity and ease of switching from a trailer to a slide in camper. So, this is all I have to remove in order to be able to put the camper on. I am getting older and this is just enough weight to carry around. The offset is perfect to jackknife the trailer. The towing with this set up is way better than the fifth wheel. Way more solid feeling and no clunking. I should have done this years ago.
This product works great for short bed truck. This product gives you more turning radius with out knocking your back window out.
Truck is a 2500 Ram, pulling 42ft gooseneck.
Haven’t used it yet. Trying to get a little more turning clearance with my fifth wheel.

Great product, and perfect fit. Gave me the perfect offset that I needed to keep my trailer from hitting the cab. Highly recommend if you have a short wheel base truck and pulling a deck over gooseneck trailer!

The off set ball works great for my 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab. I converted from a rail mounted sliding fifth wheel to a B&W hidden goose neck hitch. With the short bed, I was concerned about turning too short and the trailer hitting the truck cab. I have been able to make some very tight turns with no issues.
Works Great! Wish they made one with a 6” set back. Ford moved the rear axle back from bed center at some point. On my 2016 350 dally it is. This makes backing goose neck up strange and hard with center ball. It reverses the action on trailer until you over come center which takes a lot of swing. Not good in tight places. 6” or 8” would be awesome and may improve ride and steering.
Very nice, well made product. Just installed it today along with the Reese Goosebox on my Montana 5th wheel being towed with a 2015 Dodge 3500 Megacab (shortbed). Between the dually with rear air adjustable suspension, the new Gen. 2 Goose Box and the offset ball...it tows amazingly well. Gonna test out the turning capability tomorrow to see how the offset works with my RV set up as it is.
NOTE: DO NOT be mislead by the description of the offset ball specified for Dodge Ram (model BWGNXA4685). I was told by customer service at B&W that model is for 1500 Rams ONLY. The hole spacing is different for 2500 and 3500 and the B&W hitch that they use apparently. Great customer service as usual when I had to exchange the 4685 for the 4605 that I am now using.
