Hey everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Brophy internal threaded ball mount. So this one is gonna be a two inch. It's gonna have a max capacity of 3,500 pounds and a tongue weight of 350 pounds. But what really sets us apart from any of the others, I'll show you real quick. it's got internal threads.
So what's nice about that, is we're not gonna have a whole lot of stuff hanging on the bottom of our ball mount. So this will be great for that, but also maybe for like some lawn tractors and stuff, you don't really want that shank to stick out that far, 'cause typically it's really low to the ground, so this is gonna be a great option for you. And if you lose this bolter ever, you just need a three quarter inch bolt to go through. We do wanna make sure that the hole on our ball mount is gonna have a diameter of three quarters of an inch, that is what the bolt has, so make sure that it's gonna be able to fit through. You don't really wanna do it on a ball mount that's gonna have a bigger hole than that, this is gonna be a lot of play there.
Another thing to think about is pairing it with the right ball mount. So this one 3500 pounds, 350 pound tongue weight. Make sure you kind of mass it upto whatever ball mount that you choose. And then of course, we wanna make sure that we're not maxing out our hitch either. So kind of take all that into consideration whenever you're setting up your rig, so you go and tow safely.
But there really isn't a whole lot to these trailer balls, I mean this one is pretty unique. I really don't see these often, like at all. So, if that's something that you like, this one is gonna be a great choice for you. Has chrome, but all of these trailer balls are going to start rusting away over time, so just be prepared for that. It does look pretty now, but that's not just with this one, It's with pretty much all of them.
If you really wanted to upgrade, you can grab a aluminum ball, but odds are we're not gonna have one that is a internal thread like this. But this is very unique to this specific ball. Another thing to think about, of course, you wanna match it up with your coupler as well. So usually there's gonna be some indentations up top and that'll tell you what size it is, this one's two inch, but if it is worn off just make sure you confirm exactly what kind of coupler you have. And then, once you have all that squared away, you have it all matched up with what you need to make it nice and safe, you do wanna make sure to torque the thing down to the proper specs with a torque wrench, just to make sure it's nice and snug on there, so it doesn't move. And that'll do it for our look at the Brophy 2-inch internal threaded ball..

Chrome-plated 2" hitch ball with internal thread. Included bolt has a 3/4" diameter x 2" long shank. Provides a connection point for your trailer's coupler.I like these internal thread balls for this reason-> I'm a farmer and use balls on my tractors that have drawbars of various sizes. A regular shank ball will get the threads boogered up after just a few uses and I'll never be able to tighten them down again. The internal thread ball I can replace the bolt when the thread does get boogered also I can use a different length bolt for each tractor. I've never had one of these balls go bad on me only the bolt used to attach it. The bolt is easily and cheaply replaced.
GREAT Product. Packaging should've been better than just putting it an envelope. Poor Packaging method for this product.
Worked perfectly with my log splitter. Used a Reese hitch that fit my Gravely tractor
Exactly as described. Faster than fast service. Would highly recommend!
Very happy
I got exactly what I ordered, can't do any better than that.
The first hitch ball had the bolt/threads rusted to the point that I could not remove it. I called etrailer and they sent me another one out that afternoon. best customer service around!
Was happy to find this item available. A 2" trailer hitch ball with internal threads(3/4-10 female). With the female treads I can leave the Swisher plow undercarriage attached to the ATV and have the ball on at the same time. Before, in order to have a trailering ball on I needed to remove the undercarriage rear mount bolt that utilizses the tow ball hole, remove the A-frame bracket mount pins and drop the whole plow mount undercarriage. Then install the ball in its place. Price was higher than I thought it would be; but it'll save me a lot of hassle all winter long.
Great product!!
Made a double ball offset receiver with a measured piece of 3/4" all thread and welding machine. The internal thread makes pre-fitting much easier than lining up two cut-off standard hitches. Would buy again and recommend to anyone.
Great fast service. Ball hitch got here in two days.
As advertised
Fast prompt shipping.
Was having trouble finding a ball with a long enough shank for my stock bumper so I purchased this and separately a longer bolt. Worked great towing a 8x6 trailer over 600 miles
Using this on my loader bucket on the tractor so I can move my trailers across the lawn and not tear it up like my truck does. The internal threads with a bolt will assure it is easily removable and the threads won't be damaged.
works as it should.
Nicely finished, though the threads had some burrs
arrived on time. nice weight to it. needed a coarse thread for special application.
should look good when installed.
Awesome product !!!
Great product at a great price and fast shipping. The 2 inch ball with the 3/4 bolt was a perfect fit for my atv’s and utv. Would recommend to anyone.

I mounted the ball on the inside the bucket on my tractor. I needed a ball that attached with a bolt instead of a threaded shaft on the ball and nut to hold it in place. The shaft would have put the nut on the bottom of the bucket . This would have messed up the threads and the nut so that I couldnt take it off if I needed to. With the bolt attaching the ball the only thing that took wear was the head of the bolt. I use the ball on the inside of the bucket because it is easier for an old man to back my trailers facing the trailer rather than looking over my shoulder.
