Just as pictured. It fits the Draw-Tite GN on my 2011 Silverado 2500 HD perfectly! It is a big heavy-duty item and must weigh about 10#. The weld around the ball is nicely done.

Comments
This is a great product and really helps in tight turns. It is very well made and all that needs to be done is keep the ball lubricated. We are pulling a 26 3-horse trailer. No evidence of any corrosion.

Items where shipped and delivered fast. Just took 3 days..
Items look to b in excellent condition. Can't wait to install. I will b looking to purchase future accessories from etrailer with this kind of service...

The offset ball works great and gives me plenty of room to move my camper around. The shorter bed on the newer trucks don't give much room for turning, but with the offset ball I haven't had any issues yet

by:

Good product. Would be nice if the hitch plate kit had the option to include this ball. b/c now I have the straight ball that I don't use that came with the system.

by:

It works great now my camper is not right at my back window. But I gave it 3 stars because I still have to remove my toolbox on my 2012 F150 Supercrew.

by:

I ordered this 5” offset extension yesterday. Got it in 24 hours at normal shopping time frame. It looks and worked great!

Ask the Experts about this Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Ball

  • Will Handling of Gooseneck Trailer Worsen Using Offset Ball
I spoke with my contact at Draw-Tite and he said using an offset ball will not significantly increase trailer sway on a gooseneck trailer. If you are experiencing sway, the best defense is proper trailer loading. If you can load your trailer so that the tongue weight is between 10 and 15 percent of the total trailer weight you will reduce sway as much as possible. Also too much weight forward is very hard on the vehicle and too little weight forward is hard on the trailer, especially the...

The Hide-A-Goose gooseneck system is a great system that should work very well for you. Check out the install video I attached that shows this product being installed in a similar body style Silverado as yours. • What is Gooseneck Trailer Coupler Overhang and Clearance Needed
In regards to a gooseneck trailer, the coupler overhang is essentially the "neck" of the gooseneck. To make sure you have enough clearance to go over road bumps and make sharp turns, you want to have at least 6 inches between the overhang of your gooseneck trailer and the bed rails of your truck. This is measured from the bottom of the overhang to the top of your truck's bed rails, as shown in the attached photo.

The best offset option available for your Toyota Tundra and your gooseneck trailer is the Draw-Tite Gooseneck Hitch Ball with 5 Inch Offset, # 19308, that you referenced. Gooseneck hitches were not designed to provide additional offset for gooseneck trailers and short bed trucks, but this offset ball will improve your turning clearance by approximately 10 degrees. • How to Determine if a Gooseneck Trailer Will Clear Cab When Making Tight Turns
You should have enough clearance, but here is the formula you can use to determine if you have enough clearance. You will need to know the width of the nose of your trailer as well. (A + B) - C = Clearance A = Distance from the gooseneck ball to the truck cab B = Offset used, like if you used a Offset Extension Ball # 19308 C = Width of the nose of the trailer divided by 2.

The Draw Tite Gooseneck Hitch part # 9465-54 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2012 Chevy Silverado with a 5-1/2 foot bed. Since your truck bed is so short and fifth wheel trailers typically have very wide noses you are going to need the offset part # 19308 but still may not have enough clearance. • Is there an Offset Gooseneck Ball for the Factory Installed Gooseneck Hitch in a 2018 Ford F-350
The factory installed gooseneck hitch from Reese does not have an offset ball option. It takes a special kind of ball, called a Pop-In ball, and they do not make an offset version. None of the other offset balls will work in the hitch. If you are towing a regular gooseneck trailer then you might be able to use B&W Extend-A-Goose, # BWTEXA4200. This is a gooseneck coupler inner tube that will fit a standard 4 inch diameter round tube on a gooseneck trailer.
