  The Curt Hitch Lock part # C23517 will work just fine for a 10,000 lb trailer however, I do not have a specific tongue weight nor gross trailer weight rating because this is just not something the manufacturer test for. The reason for this is because it is not needed. The 1/2" diameter pin or 5/8" when using the sleeve will have a shear strength rating that far exceeds what you will be able to pull with the vehicle.
