The hitch was a breeze to install, it took about an hour taking my time. The electronic box took a little longer, but was easy as well. Since it's been on the Sprinter we've pulled a utility trailer (6x12) with gate and full sides. The hitch and relay box have worked flawlessly. I highly recommend the hitch, relay box and etrailer.
Bill B - 07/27/2018Ordered it on Sunday and it arrived on Thursday. Build quality and finish look good. My only real disappointment is the hit wasn't packaged well for transportation (basically a large plastic bag wrapped and taped around the hitch) so it arrived with damage to the paint in a few areas. I touched it up with black spray paint before installation.
Installation was very easy. The bolts that held my rear step in place were already oriented correctly so I didn't have to remove them and reinsert from the opposite side. There was some overspray/over applications of the vehicle undercoating onto the mounting surface, but it was easily removed with a putty knife. I didn't have a second set of hands to help so I used a set of jack stands to support the main cross member of the hitch and simply pivoted it into place, sliding a bolt in on each side to keep in there before sliding under the van to install and torque the rest. 30 minutes start to finish.
Nice looking hitch. If it weren't for the shipping damage from the poor packing job I would have given it 5 stars.
I use the hitch as an attachment for my bicycle rack. It's been rock solid. I like this company.
The hitch arrived in perfect condition, in less than 5 days. I have a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter Passenger van (w/step bumper), which the hitch will not fit unless the tailpipe is modified. I tried installing the Draw-site hitch 1 year ago because Draw-tite said it would fit (where the Curt wouldn't), and it didn't fit either because of the tailpipe. Having the tailpipe shortened by 5 inches next week.....will add more comment after that.

Tom - 12/04/2022Perfect fit on a 2022 170" wheelbase Sprinter with the rear bumper step. I would prefer if it came with the mount for the wiring harness.
I have had great products com from etrailers over the years! But this [hitch] from Curt is as bad of an example of American Workmanship I’ve ever seen! The welds are absolutely awful, I’ve been welding 35 years and 20 of that in robotics. I know Curt industries and would think they could produce better.
The hitch kit is great, super easy to install and is actually a lot sturdier than it looks in the picture. Hitch was missing a few tiny paint chips from the shipping method.
Side note, if you plan on removing your rear step make sure to order the plastic trim piece to replace it. It wasn’t until I started the install that I noticed the plastic trim for the step and the top lip of the “bumper” is all one piece.

This is the only hitch that fits a Sprinter with a step bumper and fits perfectly.

Good quality. So far no rust after one year. Fits on a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter. Make sure you get this one if you got a Sprinter van! This is designed so it doesn't interfere with the exhaust pipe!

Paul - 03/30/2022i receive the trailer hitch 13358 with 3-4 scratch on unit /i called to tell etrail how i received it/at the time i was unhappy/after unwrapping the unit completly the rest of unit was staisfable /they said it was shipped in a box to /but mine was not in a box /how ever i think etrailer is a quality company/they have good products/i will buy from them again/an good customer service /thinks
Simple installation. Perfect fit for a 2020 Sprinter 2500 4x4 diesel. No interference from exhaust tailpipe. Requires 18mm socket ans wrench. Needed a 1/2 drive breaker bar w/ 18mm deep socket to loosen the bumper M12 bolts.

Received the hitch and lighting kit in a very expeditious manner. When we went to install the hitch the unwrapping took quite some time as it was protected for shipment as etrailer wanted to ensure that the hitch arrived without any scratches or dings.
Watching the install video is an awesome suggestion for those who will install this themselves! Extremely easy and took approximately 20 minutes for us from start to finish, gathering tools and tightening the last bolts.
We found it is a good idea to use the 'buddy team' lift to position the hitch in a manner to get the first two bolts in place. You could use a jack but might not be the easiest.
Hitch does hang a little lower but Curt has welded some plates to either side which help when driving down a steep driveway. (no scraping the actual hitch)
