Great product my second Curt product, and I will buy again. I think that instead of drilling larger holes, the instructions should follow OEM installation methods. If not, maybe include directions to paint bare metal exposed from drilling prior to install.

After a year and at least 6,000 miles of using this hitch with my cargo carrier around the U.S. I have no complaints.

Great hitch! I've pulled a lot of my buddies out of the ditch with it and it didn't rip off or break. Overall a solid product. Installation is easier the second time once you get the exhaust off it's easy enough. Took me and my buddy about a hour and a half start to finish. You have to round out the holes to get enough clearance to slide the rectangular shim through on Subarus. Easy enough with a drill. Could also be accomplished with a file.

I'm in the rust belt, getting the exhaust off can be difficult.

This hitch fits nicely under the bumper (GV Impreza WRX) and is not too noticeable.

Solid product. Perfect fit (the authorized Curt installers said so). Reasonably priced. The best products are the ones that do their function perfectly, no more, no less. This hitch is one of those products. The email updates on shipping status were helpful, and shipping was fast! There was _no_ cutting of the rear bumper and no extra drilling even though the instructions said there may be some drilling necessary.

Ryan, did you install on a WRX?

2011 Subaru Impreza

I ordered a hitch for my Subaru Impreza to carry a Thule bike hitch rack. The hitch arrived on time. Unfortunately when we were installing the hitch, we realized that we were sent the incorrect screw/nut (3 of the 4 were correct, the 4th was the wrong size). I tried to contact etrailer, but was unable to talk to a person (long wait times the couple times I tried to call) and the company did not respond to my message sent through their website. This was disappointing as I had had no issues talking to someone prior to purchasing the hitch when I had questions. To sum, the hitch is great (5 stars) and the customer service mixed (3 stars).

2014 Subaru Impreza

Have not installed the trailer hitch yet but everything seems to be in order. Sales people were quick to respond to my inquiries and the product arrived on time.

2011 Subaru Impreza

I have a muffler delete on my car so the right hitch for my car just popped in place with no need to remove anything. Also the wires they give you to snake your bolts into the holes are ingenious and I need more of them in my life.

Installing was easy enough, and completed independently. Works great!

2013 Subaru WRX

Fits 2013 WRX sedan..paired with c45023 drawbar.

Install was simple..did it solo. Remove bumper, remove mufflers(I removed 1 heat shield..then found out you dont nees to so 1 stayed), and drill out holes and install. If one person helps hold into place as you bolt in makes it easier..i used my body to prop it up.

At most half a day job if you live in NE like me where bolts are all rusted out. Could do it in an hour or 2.

Solid built..came fast.

Great hitch. Went on my 2013 sti sedan very easily fits and works perfectly. Excellent costomer service from etrailer

2008 Subaru Impreza

The hitch went right on. Great directions in the package! Seems very sturdy built

Still very nice

Solid fabrication and quality product. Fit perfectly on my car. Delivery was quick with a prompt follow up.

Great product, well built

  • Trailer Hitch That Fits 2013 Subaru Impreza Sedan
While there is a trailer hitch that fits a 2013 Subaru Impreza sedan the # DT24959 you referenced only fits an Impreza 5-door wagon with a single exhaust. Instead you will need Curt Trailer Hitch # C11408 UNLESS your '13 Impreza sedan is a WRX or WRX STi model; if that is the case you will need Curt Trailer Hitch # C11317. Both of these are Class I hitches with a 1-1/4" receiver and complete bolt-on installations so you will not have to drill into your Subaru's frame.

  • Lightweight Bike Rack Recommendation for 2011 Subaru Impreza
The lightest weight bike rack out there that is also very easy to use is the Kuat Beta # B202-114 which weighs in at 12.6 lbs. This is also a very high quality rack too which means it will be very reliable. Now you'll need a hitch installed on your vehicle so for that you'd want the Curt # C11315 for if you have a 5 door wagon with single exhaust # C11120 if you have a wagon with quad exhaust or # C11317 if you have a sedan. • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon
The 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX has different configurations and depending on which one you have will determine which hitch, if one is available, fits. Curt hitch # 11317, fits a 2008 to 2012 Subaru Impreza Sedan, but not the STi models. It does not fit the 5 door model (wagon). Curt hitch # C11120 fits a 2011...

  • Parts Included with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24886 for a 2008 Subaru Impreza
The Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch, # DT24959, does not come with a ball mount. You will need to order one. To add a hitch ball, you will first want to determine the size of hitch ball that your trailer requires. You can use a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball, # 19256, or a 2 inch hitch ball, # 19258. Please note, this hitch will fit your 2008 Subaru Impreza as long as it is the hatchback model with single exhaust. This hitch will not fit the WRX STi models. If your Impreza is a sedan, not STi...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Subaru Impreza
You will need to get a new hitch for your 2013 Subaru Impreza, the Curt Hitch # C11315 that you referenced is only designed to work on Imprezas from 2008-2011 so it would not work for your 2013 even though they look similar. I would recommend the Curt Hitch # C11286 if you have a hatchback with single exhaust, Curt Hitch # C11120 if you have a hatchback WRX with quad tip exhaust, or Curt Hitch # C11317 if you have a Sedan WRX.

  • Weight of Trailer Hitches for 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
We carry two trailer hitches that fit your 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX STi; The EcoHitch # 306-X7279 and the Curt # C11317. The EcoHitch is a more difficult install but has a much better look that the Curt. A reputable shop shouldn't have an issue doing either one though. They likely handle much more complicated repairs than any trailer hitch. The Curt is the heavier of the two, it weighs 36 pounds when packed up to ship. The EcoHitch is less at about 27 pounds for shipping.
