I selected the proper product, read previous customer reviews, and placed the order. The hitch arrived in a few days.
Five bolts and 12 minutes later, the unit was installed on my 2020 Nissan Murano, WITHOUT any special tools, additional labor, or modifications.
I'm 70 years old and did this in my own garage.

Thankfully previous reviews and information on the etrailer site were available for assistance. I needed to utilize a suggestion to expand the hitch receiver utilizing a 2x4 and car jack in order to align one of the holes. What started as a struggle became rather simple with the information found. The receiver was a perfect fit and has been a great accessory to our 2017 Nissan Murano.
Came packed well. It took about 30 minutes to install. I used a couple of jack stands to hold it and place and zipped in the bolts with my impact gun(with an 80 ft-lbs torque rod on it) and then broke out the actual torque wrench to get it to 86 ft-lbs. I did have to hit the welded nuts with WD-40 because they were exposed but definitely a nice product and easy install.
It was a very easy installation. The price was great for the quality of the hitch. I bought this for a bike rack but is strong enough for small trailer. I am impressed!
Excellent design and workmanship. The instructions were easy to follow and right on the money. The only issue I had was figuring out how to mount a bracket for the light receptacle since I wanted a permanent installation. It was difficult to locate the location, drill it and lock it in place. Other than that it works great.
Installed the receiver and harness connector today by myself and it was so easy. Took 1 hour to do both. No problems getting the receiver in place. I didn’t have to jack up the vehicle, there was enough room to just lay on a blanket and get to work. The harness for trailer lights is just like the videos on this site, plug and play. The only minor issue was when replacing the fuse in the engine bay from an installed 30 amp to a 15 amp that was supplied the 30 amp fuse was different from the included one that came with the harness. The fuse from entrailer was longer where it plugs in. Thanks eTrailer, love your products and instructions.
The hitch is working great! I needed to get a converter because I had a bike rack to fit. Couldn’t be happier
Easy as can be. Even in freezing temps, had it on in less then 10 minutes. Took longer to get warm after the install then install the hitch.
Fit and finish on our 2020 Nissan Murano was spot on. Design could not have been better. Fit follows the lines of the body panels.
Power coat on hitch is nice. No weld splatter or other blemishes on it. Plus at a price that can't be beat.
Best part rear gate still works hands free. Just kick to the side of the sq tube and up it does.
Preferred this hitch over the other two for our Nissan Murano because the slant of the ends of the horizontal piece makes the hitch less visible. Purchased it for use with a hitch mounted 4-bike bicycle rack, so no electrical wiring was needed. Very easy to install.

2018 Nissan Murano platinum WITH automatic hatch lift gate kick sensor. Installing this tow hitch receiver DOES cover the kick sensor to open the hatch, making the senor inoperable. I called Nissan to ask what I need to do to have both features operable and it’s roughly $1750 USD (The kick sensor and harness has to be replaced/moved (Part was $600 +labor)). I read every Nissan blog that says the sensor still works by kicking in various areas and I didn’t come to that conclusion. Otherwise, if your Murano isn’t equipped with this kick feature, the receiver is a great addition! I am NOT a mechanic nor do I have expensive tools. This install was extremely easy to install with two people (one to hold the hitch and the other to place screws). Took 30 mins to complete. The box was highly damaged when it arrived and two sections of the part was 100% exposed to potential shipping damages but fedex treated the package nicely, so no major scratches. I’m excited to ride my bike again, thank you etrailer!!
This hitch fit like a glove. Very easy to install. It took me about 15 minutes to install it, alone. Very good, very well engineered product

Great product. No issues after a year. Installation was easy. 5 bolts for the pre-drilled holes and they lined up perfectly. Great customer service and no issues with ordering and delivery.
The hitch reviewed on line and then purchased worked out great. It was made for my Nissan Murano, and installed all by myself in 30 minutes.
The bike rack I also purchased fit the hitch with all the vehicle clearances I needed.

Very pleased with this hitch. Watched your videos on selection and installation and found those to be very helpful. Installation for me on my 2016 Murano Platinum was a breeze. I used a furniture dolly and blocks of wood to roll it under the car and hold it in place while I bolted her in. Looks real nice. Will use this primarily for recreation not towing.

The hitch was easy to install. We use it mainly to for our bike rack and has worked great for that application. etrailer.com's videos made the process of selecting and installing easier.

Perfect fit. Follow instructions and there should be no issues. I used red loctite on my frame bolts as well. Save time and also buy the wiring harness as well. It was a breeze to hook up. Total install time for both products was 1.5 hours max.

What a great product. Online videos were a great educational tool. I am 72 and my wife is 70. With the use of car ramps, we installed the hitch in about 30 minutes. Extremely pleased at how it looks. Thank you for a wonderful product.
