Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.Installed on my 2017 Ram Promaster.Takes about an hour with Wisconson Salt and rust on bolts. My local Ram dealership quoted me $1600.00 for hitch and wiring. etrailer soaked me about $175.00 without wiring. I'll install that later.If picture is shown Lic plate is subtle.
Watched the trailer install video; install was quite easy and quick. Looks great. Mainly for bike rack and occasional small trailer. Note: Hitch metal thickness pushes bumper out about 3/16 inch; When reattaching the bumper, you might add an expansion joint strip between the bumper and body to fill the small gap. Fits perfect!
Product arrived quickly. Very easy to install. Was able to do it by myself. The install video was very good and helped speed up the install. One draw back is if you have the Promaster with a back up sensor like mine you will have to relocate the RF Antenna. It is in-between the the hitch and bumper.
Has performed as expected. Installation was easy, and the instructions provided were excellent.
So far have only used it for a bike hitch but it's worked great! Not difficult to install.
No drilling, no cutting. The bolts provided were of correct length and thread for factory inserts. The receiver looks and performs like factory Mopar but at hundreds of dollars less.
Tools used: T30, 14mm 15mm 16mm sockets, torque wrench, Milwaukee 3/8 ratchet made quick work of the process.
We are adding the Laverne step to your hitch. Works great and far superior to the brackets supplied with the step. It would be great if this were an offering. We’d buy for our fleet, and I’d bet others would too.
Overall a great product, and installation went smoothly. Be aware that since installation requires you to remove the bumper there is a good chance that you may strip or damage the existing screws and clips in the process, especially if your vehicle is a few years old and things have had time to corrode. I'd suggest picking up a few spares from the local auto parts store before you begin the disassembly process. Otherwise, you'll be stuck making an emergency trip with no bumper while the backup alarm screams at you because the sensors are disconnected (ask me how I know).
First, let me start off by indicating that I originally bought the Draw-Tite hitch for the Ram Promaster 2500. The install went PAINFULLY long, and it turns out, something must have been wrong with the hitch. I spent 2-4 hours trying to get this thing to work. After several exchanges with eTrailer, they authorized a return, and I was able to place another order. This time I went with the Curt Class III hitch (basically same design). The hitch was installed in 30 minutes by myself! (I have done about 10 hitches with eTrailer over the years. This was BY FAR the easiest hitch I have ever installed. A big shoutout to eTrailer for making things right - for a brief moment, I thought they were losing a long-standing, repeat customer - but once the problem was escalated, they took care of things. Glad to know that customer service still is a thing. Would highly recommend this hitch... and the "only tricky" part of this install was threading a couple of bolts with rectangular washers - IT WAS SIGNIFICANTLY EASIER THAN THE DRAW-TITE HITCH, AS THE BOLTS WERE A FEW MILLIMETERS SHORTER AND THAT MADE IT COMPLETELY TROUBLE FREE. Hope this helps someone.

Great step and I was super impressed by the strength it has. I was rear-ended by a big F350 truck and this step went right through the F350's bumper and grill and cracked the engine block, and the step stool looks new hahaha.
Great solution for my Hymer RV built on a ram promaster chassis. The hitch doesn’t interfere with the plumbing located in the rear of the van. Really good installation video made installing a breeze
So I just recently went into business for myself decided to get a hitch so I can build a bumper guard to protect my rear bumper from forklifts super easy install only took about 30 minutes!

I have had no problems with the hitch. Initially we used it for bicycles, now it it used to hold the yakima box and bike carrier. It seems to be very sturdy.
