2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Perfect fit and relatively easy to install. It's estimated to be about an hour.

A lift, installed this one before, a helping hand, all your tools at the ready and don't plan to put them away when finished, no interest in cleaning while you're there and do your trimming of the mat and heatshield per the suggested measurements...then it may take about an hour. However, if you're like me, methodical, tidy and OCD won't allow for trimming that looks like a hackjob when you're finished, then plan on 3, hope for 2 and probably land somewhere around 2-1/2 hours from beginning until shower time.

I've posted some pics with some measurements for the mat where the hitch protrudes, and simply trim the flange off the heat shield, so you can avoid the hackjob look. You will end up with 1 original nut left over. Also, the install video doesn't touch on the passenger side, which is where it gets interesting. However, the install video for the 2021 Pacifica uses the same hitch and offers a little extra for the passenger side.

Hope this helps!

This one is the latest of several Ive ordered over the years, for multiple vehicles. eTrailer is my Go-To place for a hitch. I cant seem to find a gently used vehicle I like, that already has a hitch installed. So Ill be back.

My Curt trailer hitch went on nice and easy. No filing or drilling was necessary. The install took 1 1/2 hrs to complete. I only needed to remove a small amount of the undercarriage fabric panel to complete the installation. The directions show a much larger but unnecessary fabric removal area. This is easy to see and navigate through. The heat shield also needed less removal than shown. This is easy to see once you’re up in there working. I also was able to perform the installation without raising the vehicle. A couple fabric screws in the drivers side rear wheel well are easier to remove with the wheel removed, otherwise a pretty straightforward install. Note that the Curt hitch is rated for 400 lbs tongue weight but the Pacifica is rated for only 350 lbs tongue weight. Oh, and you will need a helping hand for about 10 minutes in order to lift the hitch in to place. Tell the wife to stop complaining and the sooner we get this hitch in place the sooner she can go shopping.

2022 Chrysler Pacifica

Build quality is outstanding. Direction and install videos are a great help. BUT. My 2022 Pacifica has a bit different deflector pan. The heat shield is rivetted to the deflector. All came out in one piece, which is not a problem, just different from the videos.
The real problem came when trying to pull the bolt/washer combo thru the frame rails. There seemed to be extra "stuff" hidden in the rails, blocking the washer from passing thru. We wound up pushing the short washers up thru the square hole near the rear of the car, and holding them over the appropriate hole with a magnet, then fishing the wire and bolt thru and into position. The front bolt and washer went in fine. In the photo, you can see how little was trimmed out to clear the receiver. About 4" wide, and about 10" long.
All in all, I've gotta say the fish wires are a great idea.
I think you made need an update video to cover these couple of items.
Other than that, Nice Job!

Volvo Cross Country

Hitch met all expectations. Installation was smooth with van on a lift, instructions were perfect. Used receiver as anchor point for canoe on a cross country trip into the Rocky Mountains. Later used for the bike rack. Works as advertised.

Hitch was quickly delivered in great shape. Installation was made easier after watching the install video on your website. Hides completely behind the bumper. Very happy customer!

2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Directions were clear. Tried installing it myself but definitely needed a second set of hands to hold it while threading on the bolts. Tucks up to the bumper nicely. Using it for a mountain bike rack.

Hitch looks and fits great. Tucks out of the way. Using to haul Ebikes. Very disappointed with the video where it tells you to cut the bottom cover 7” x 32””. You only need to trim about 8”wide. Even though it’s underneath it looks like a hack job and you did away with several fasteners.

2021 Chrysler Pacifica

Haven't used it yet, but hitch for my 2021 Pacifica installed as advertised. It arrived when it was supposed to, with all necessary hardware. Spoke with a very helpful Davine W. at, when inquiring about a delivery date, only to later notice that a George J at had already emailed me the info. Very pleased with product and customer service.

The install was painless and the video is all you need in order to install as it's very clear and direct. The only suggestion I have is in reference to the removal of the inner wheel well screws. They are very hard to get at with a standard ratchet if installing without a lift. I suggest purchasing a small 1/4 inch ratchet set prior to install as you then can get in there much easier and save yourself the headache of that step.

I purchased the trailer hitch from etrailer and they installed it for me. I am completely satisfied with both the hitch and the installation quality. When ever I need anything for my vehicle I always check in with etrailer FIRST. They're unbeatable.

2020 Chrysler Pacifica

Hitch came to me bent called customer support and they had me a new hitch on the way same day. Great customer support. Fast shipping.

Very impressed with the hitch kit bolt fishing tools are the best thanks

2022 Chrysler Pacifica

was not built right, the receiver was ~ 2" off center. had to go thru curt trailer hitch to get a replacement sent out

Easy to install with a little help from my friends and a LIFT!

2019 Chrysler Pacifica

Easy to install if you have the tools. Well concealed.

Fit like a glove.

Great fit easy install. Would definitely purchase and recommend to others.

A very strong and well built hitch for my 2022 Pacifica. Some of the paint was chipped off where it bolts onto the frame. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase.

Hitch was off center after proper installation. Terrible quality control. Huge waste of time and labor. Would not purchase again.

2021 Chrysler Pacifica

awesome service, had an issue with shipping address, was contacted so that shipping wasn't delayed.

Good prices and fast shipment

2020 Chrysler Pacifica

This hitch nests nicely under the back bumper of my 2020 Pacifica. The etrailer installation video was very helpful and made installation much easier than it would have been with the instructions alone. The video tip that the underbody cover didn't need to be cut back very far made for a cleaner install. I'm happy I went with this option because it looks nice.

2018 Chrysler Pacifica

the receiver installed great, fit perfect, instructions for cutting the underbody covers are wrong for concealed cross tube. you don't need to trim as much off as it states, only for the square part of the receiver.

very good instructions in fact shocked to see how easy the install went, very pleased with your product provided the pull wires for the bolts. also really like the tilt feature with the bikes on the rack to access my van from the back

  • Towing Capacity of a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Without Factory Tow Package
The GVWR of your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the amount of weight the van can fully be loaded to. This includes the van itself, any passengers and cargo, or whatever else you may have stored inside or on the vehicle. The payload is how much weight can be loaded into the van. In theory, the van's weight plus the payload should equal the GVWR. The GVWR does not include the weight of a trailer. If you find GCWR on your van's spec sticker then this is the total amount of weight the van is...

  • Comparing etrailer and Curt Trailer Hitches for 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
For your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica the best choice by far is the Curt part # C65CR because it has a hidden crosstube unlike the Curt hitch part # C13383. Because it gives you a better overall look and has even higher towing capacities it's the one I recommend as the best.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2019 Chrysler Pacifica
The hitch I recommend for your 2019 Chrysler Pacifica is the Curt part # C65CR because it has great capacities and because it's the best looking option when installed as it's mostly hidden. I attached an install video for this as well. When installed the easiest option for retaining the hands-free liftgate function is to move the sensor towards the driver side. Chrysler sells a bracket to do this (68275630AG) which also adds another sensor so you can kick on either side of the tongue but...

  • Comparison between Curt Hitches for 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
There are two main differences between the Curt hitch # C13383 and the Curt Hitch # C65CR. First the # C13383 has a visible crosstube and the # C65CR has a hidden crosstube given it a sleeker look. Also, the # C13383 is confirmed to fit both hybrid and non-hybrid models, but the # C65CR will not fit hybrid models of the Pacifica. Both hitches are corrosion resistant powder coated and require no drilling for installation. They also both have 4000 lb towing capacities and 5000 lbs capacities...

  • Can Curt Hitch and Rhino-Rack T-Loader Help Load Kayaks Easier on a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica
Yes, pairing the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar # RTL002 with the Curt Trailer Hitch # C65CR and OEM roof rack on your 2022 Chrysler Pacifica will make it easier to load your kayak. It won't have the exact same effect as the Thule Hullavator but it will definitely help out when loading your kayak(s).

I checked with the manufacturer and the Curt Trailer Hitch # C65CR is a fit for your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L Plus (non-hybrid). The Curt # C65CR is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver with a mostly hidden cross tube to give you a nice clean look. I have attached a link to a video review of this hitch being installed on an '18 Pacifica for you to check out as well. I checked with my contact at Curt and confirmed that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C65CR you were looking at is a confirmed fit for your 2020 Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition. The # C65CR has a 400lb tongue weight rating and 4000lb trailer weight rating, or 500lb tongue weight rating and 5000lb trailer weight rating when using a weight distribution hitch making this a great option for carrying a bike rack, a cargo carrier, or even towing a trailer. • Recommended Class III Hitch for 2020 Chrysler Pacifica
For a non-hybrid Pacifica, we recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # C65CR. This US-made hitch installs so that the hitch crossbar is concealed behind the bumper. The only portion of the hitch that's visible is the receiver tube and safety chain hoops. For a hybrid model, use the Curt # C29UR which also has the concealed crossbar.

  • Which Hitch will Sit Furthest Out from the Bumper on a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica?
Though I can provide the distance from the center of the pin hole to the closest edge of the bumper on the hitches we have installed, I cannot on the one we have not. This is the Curt Class II # C12180, unfortunately. For the Hybrid, you'd want to go with the similar # C29UR.
