Installed it by myself with the help of a car jack supporting right at the middle. Good tight fit that required some light hammer action to position in place and that’s perfectly fine. It uses the outer frame holes, for when you’re removing plastic hole covers, also use razor blade to lift edge of plastic cover and peel off. Very good product.

Shipping was really fast. Video showed exactly how to install it. All components were in the box. I was able to install this hitch in less than an hour by myself. I did not need to raise the vehicle but it was a little tricky to initially get the hitch in place. Once it is in the approximate location (exhaust will hold it up) you can support it with some blocks and the rest is easy. With 2 people it would be even easier. The video mentions the 17mm socket for removing the two bar but be aware that the hitch bolts are actually 20mm. I have a 2021 Venza and after install the rear kick sensor for opening the door still worked. This is my 2nd purchase from etrailer and both have been really easy installs of a great quality hitch.

iI bought a receiver from E Trailer about 12 years ago which was great, so when I bought a new car I returned to E Trailer for this one. I have been very pleased with the Curtis product and only wish there was one for my 98 BMW M roadster.

I had my son install the hitch and the install seemed to be very straightforward(easy for me to say). The hitch is used to support our Kuat bike rack, which we use to carry our very heavy ebikes. We love the hitch.

After a year no rust because the paint is applied perfectly. Tucked under the toyota venza well. I only use to hold bike rack or cargo rack. Great product.

by:
2023 Toyota Venza

Hitch fit perfectly, super heavy duty. Black gloss finish matches Black venza perfectly. Videos and directions were super detailed and easy to follow. Only issue was packaging was not great. The box was damaged with holes where the front of the hitch was sticking through as well as the back of the hitch and the arms. There were dings and paint scratches to the exposed parts.

2021 Toyota Venza

Just what I needed for my 2021 Toyota Venza, since Toyota only offers an "activity hitch", insufficient for my bike rack and electric bike. I especially appreciate etrailer's vetted mechanics, to ensure that after-market equipment like this will be well installed.

Excellent product! Build quality is great, after a year of constant use the Curt hitch receiver still holding up great.

Amazing! The build quality is solid, and after a year exposed to the elements and constant used the hitch is holding up very well.

Easy Peezy! Very clean install. All hardware included. Excellent [online] video from etrailer showing you how to install. I installed this in 30 minutes by myself, using a jackstand to support the weight. No car lift required. Best price on the Internet.

The trailer hitch was a perfect fit. I had a local shop do the installation. I use it for a bike rack as the vehicle is not tow rated.

etrailer described the rack to a T. The rack arrived quickly. I would order from them again. I'm

We will be in touch shortly. We can replace the hitch or provide a credit foe the cost of a rust resistant paint to touch up the hitch.

The trailer hitch is great. It was a perfect fit for my 2024 Toyota Venza and easy to install. My only complaint is that etrailer did not package it properly. The trailer hitch split open the shipping box, and the hitch is scratched and dinged. This is something that could have been avoided with the correct packing materials.

The etrailer website made it extremely easy to properly select, order, and promptly receive my Curt trailer hitch. Their on-line video, made specifically for my 2022 Toyota Venza, was a great aid and provided a detailed installation guide. I installed the hitch myself, while lying under the vehicle. The vehicle was positioned so the work area was overhanging the downward sloped portion of the driveway apron, which provided additional working clearance. With temporarily installed hitch bolts inserted on each side, a support/lifting rig (see attached photo) was utilized to easily support and move the hitch into position. As each line was pulled individually, it raised that end of the hitch a small amount, while the device automatically locked each time to hold that position. When the front mounting hole was aligned, a mounting bolt was then loosely installed on each side to support the hitch. The lifting rig was removed, the hitch was manually pushed to its final position, and the two rear bolts, with cup washers, were installed handtight. The front mounting bolts were then removed and reinstalled with their cup washers. All mounting bolts were the tightened, with the driver’s side then properly torqued as required.

As the video stressed, adapters are needed to properly torque the mounting bolts on the passenger’s side and that a local etrailer shop might make them available for use. I drove to New Jersey Line-X, a dealer listed on the etrailer website, in Bound Brook, NJ and for no charge at all, the technician torqued those two remaining bolts and also then checked and confirmed the other two had been torqued correctly.

Overall, I couldn’t be any happier with my total experience and I highly recommend etailer, both as the provider of the hitch and also for the help and guidance they provided to install it. The unexpected customer service provided by New Jersey Line_X really added to the experience.

Ordering was easy and Delivery was fast. Installed myself in around 30 minutes without a hitch (pun intended) thanks to the great video on website. Have used twice to haul bikes. Will not be towing anything.

by:

I was so excited to install this on my car and be able to use my trailer. Super easy to install and has definitely held ups well. Would buy again!

by:

fairly easy install even for a non-mechanic. I use the hitch often for my bike rack and it is super solid and well worth the cosy

by:

The hitch is working great. A little tricky for one person to install but I managed to pull it off. Using it for the past year now with my Saris Bike Rack and haven't had any problems. I know I could have settled for the 1 1/4 inch hitch but going robust makes me feel more comfortable when I'm hauling 4 bikes.

This is the third trailer hitch I've ordered this year, and the package is always come completely mangled once they've arrived

Excellent quality hitch, I am using it to tow my small trailer and carry my E bike

by:

Only problem was that the wings on each side had been bent with the travel.I had to pry them to open them up because the wouldn't fit on the frame. Also the darned bolts, fine thread, had some problems screwing them in there holes especialy the passenger side, otherwise, nice fit. Sorry, didn't think to take pictures.

Easy Peasy. Bolted right up to Venza and have been using with bike rack. No rust and dependable. Good unit.

1st after market hitch for a 2021 Toyota Venza Hybrid. Note that this model is not rated to tow, but I needed it for a bike hitch. Agreed that this model probably shouldn't tow anything significant; the rear suspension is too soft, but the hitch itself installed and been working perfectly. Stiff and tight, no sway, no noise, no movement of any kind, just makes the rear end sag when loaded with 2 ebikes (total weight about 350 lbs). Note that anything back there will also interfere with the car's rear sensors which will actually stop you from continuing going backwards or even opening the rear hatch.

The hitch has been completely fuss free and continues to function perfectly. The issue is that the Venza has too many sensors and is likely the reason why Toyota does not suggest towing with the Venza, as a lot of the software concerning the rear cross traffic alert systems or the rear collision avoidance systems would need reprogramming. So, the car slams on the brakes anytime I try to back up with the hitch loaded, thinking I am about to hit an obstruction. All of the safety systems and sensors for the rear need to be turned off to avoid whiplash. In addition, as also mentioned, the kick function to open the rear hatch no longer works or the sensor range is restricted and in general, the rear suspension is really does not do well handling the extra weight off the back end. All issues with the car, the hitch itself has been perfect.

by:

This has got to be one of the most simple hitch installs I’ve done (this is my second one, my last one was on a 2018 Camry) no cutting involved, just a simple tow adapter removal (2 bolts) and hitch install, which was 4 bolts. Took about 30 mins total to install.

by:

The hitch is literally perfect. Also fairly easy to install. Packaging was damaged on all sides, and at first sight I was concerned. No damage to the item though. Quick delivery.

by:
Toyota Venza

The hitch install was a breeze on a 2023 Toyota Venza. You will definitely need the tool shown in the install video to torque the passenger side bolts. And the nice thing is, the foot sensor for the lift gate still works.

To add a trailer hitch to your 2023 Toyota Venza, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e25AR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Toyota with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 525 lbs maximum tongue weight. I really like this hitch because the crosstube mounts behind your rear bumper cover. This leaves only the 2" receiver visible which not only looks better it helps with ground clearance. • 2023 Toyota Venza Trailer Hitches C89UR And e25AR - What Is The Difference?
That is a great question. We do carry two trailer hitches for your 2023 Toyota Venza. The # C89UR is made by curt, the # e25AR is our etrailer brand which is actually made by Curt. So both hitches are going to be identical as far as weight capacity and installation. The only noteworthy difference is that the Curt # C89UR uses a gloss black powder coating. The etrailer # e25AR uses a matte black powder coat, which we have found to be more durable, and to blend in better with the underbody...

  • Best Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2023 Toyota Venza For Bike Rack
Absolutely, and the best trailer hitch receiver for your 2023 Toyota Venza is going to be either the Curt or etrailer hitch. I mention both because they are the same hitch, just with different finishes - the Curt has a glossy finish while the etrailer has a matte black finish.
