Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.Put the hitch on, no problems. Took an hour and a half. The hitch was well engineered and fit in tight spaces and the bolt holes matched up. Used my motorcycle jack to put it in place but lacked about 2" of going high enough so had to get the floor jack out to move it one side at a time enough to get the bolts in.

Simple ordering, fast delivery, installed easily. The Curt hitch has a durable finish, and excellent fitment. I removed my spare tire for more space to work in, but it is not necessary. After 1 year of towing a camper, the hitch is performing as expected.
Installed the Receiver today and will share a few tips about installation on a 2022 Ram. To hold the frame bolts the use of needle nose small vice grips work well holding the top of the bolts to prevent the bolts from being pushed back into the frame until you can get the nuts started. The second item I found is that if you remove the heat shield on the muffler the installation goes much smoother. Easy install and a strong receiver. The receiver does not protrude past the bumper like others so you need to reach under the bumper to hook the safety chains and install the latch pin. Save bumping your knees while working behind the truck.
Never been more happy with a hitch! It’s a 2014 ram 1500 but this hitch is a hoss and anything you attach to it will follow you!

Robert - 01/15/2022The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class V-2 was easy to install and works great. I have a 25 foot house trailer I tow with and pull it with a 2010 Ram 1500 Hemi. Everything match up perfectly with my existing hitch. Love the rating on it works just like it should. I was lucky to find such a quality built receiver.

The hitch is great quality, and easy to install. However, it’s worth noting that on the Ram 1500 Rebel (and maybe other Trim packages as well) the bumper mounts to a bracket welded to the OEM hitch. You will have to salvage those brackets or make new brackets in order to mount the bumper back
I ordered Class V hitch C15572 for my 2018 RAM Sport Night edition 4x4 from etrailer.com. The item was delivered on time and the shipping was free. I watched the suggested installation video and a friend and I got it installed in under an hour.
All the holes lined up perfectly and everything was flush. This hitch is 60+ pounds, so make sure you have extra hands to hold it in place while bolting it up. The only small issue was there were some scratches on the hitch that were covered with brown paper. Not a big deal - it's a hitch!
I would recommend this hitch and eTrailer to anyone. My friend wants to order one for his RAM Truck!

I believe that the hardest part of my installation was getting the two m14 bolts out of the factory bumper assembly. An impact gun would be really helpful for those.
My truck is 5 years old and has spent it's life in the "rust belt" so things are pretty crusty under there already.
I read that one reviewer installed his hitch by himself and in the rain, which is exactly what I did. In fact I installed mine outside as Isaias was coming up the coast and in the dark.
I found it helpful to use a floor jack with a 2X4 across the bottom of the hitch to lift it into place. I loosely threaded the nuts on the 1/2 inch bolts that drop down through the frame rails first, then pulled the fish wires through the receiver's holes below the bumper. That held things in place. Lifting the floor jack pivoted the hitch in place. It took more than the suggested hour but I checked the air pressure in the spare while it was down and applied a liberal coating of Fluid Film to the spare tire carrier and surrounding areas.
I read that a few people had issues getting the bolt holes to line up. It helped me to keep all of the fasteners pretty loose so you can wiggle things around until the holes line up. Once they are all in/on, then draw them down.
All said, the installation was very straight forward and pretty easy.
JD - 08/05/20212020 Ram 1500 Classic. Wasn’t excited when I had to fish bolts through the frame and bumper bar but it actually went pretty smoothly. Holes for the factory bolts you need to remove and then reinstall didn’t quite line up but I have experienced this with every receiver I’ve installed. I used a block of wood and a C-clamp to help line everything up. Spud wrench probably could have done the trick but I don’t have one. Overall I’m happy with the product.

Great receiver hitch with a great flat color finish! I highly recommend this curt receiver hitch! It also fits great with no drilling required. This is a sturdy hitch. Working alone on my back, it was a real challenge to maneuver it into place and bolted down. There was some trial and error but it took just a few minutes once I found a way around my arthritic shoulder. For once my rather large gut proved to be quite handy.

This thing is stout. You really need two people to manage this but you can hold the middle up with a jack. It was really easy with those fish lines that come with it, to get the bolts where they need to go. It is tucked up tight against the frame as well.

This receiver hitch fit perfectly as described. I did not have a lift to install it, but I did use a 4 ton jack with a long piece of plywood to hold it in place while I bolted it into place. I pulled my 36 foot travel trailer with it for over 30 miles and there were no issues whatsoever. Great receiver hitch for your truck at a really great price.
The fork lift operator couldn't reach far enough to center them over my axle, but it didn't matter, because I installed air lift air springs and the Timbren bump stop spring enhancements. I can't believe how well they performed together. It was only a short trip with this load, and I'd never haul this heavy of a payload in a 1500 unless it was a short trip, but it wouldn't have been an option without these enhancements. The fork lift driver was even impressed. He asked me what I was using. These products kick serious ass! AMAZING!
Was delivered on time, when it was promised. Simple install, took me less than 25 minutes and fit perfect on 2019 Ram 1500 classic. Haven’t pulled anything yet, but overall satisfied so far.
The box was a little beat up but to no fault of the packaging but more of the carrier tossing it around. Luckily the loose nuts and bolts fell at my door and not in transit. Other than that the customer service was excellent and I thank Jaime for the positive experience in regards to handling my late return and exchange. Thank you !
Great hitch,, super easy install,, had co worker help me set in place using factory rearward mounting bolts. had finshed up in less than 15 minutes, cant wait to pull my sxs and not use the bumper ball
Great product. This one took me about an hour after I had just installed another one from etrailer on a Dodge Charger. This review is for the one that I put on a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500. Install videos that etrailer have are great since I had never installed one before the Dodge Charger and the videos are really detailed. The hardest part wasn't putting on the hitch, but actually getting 2 of the factory bolts that were already on the truck that are used later in the install. I also lowered the spare and took it off to make it easier to install the hitch and I used a spray lubricant on the stuck bolts and eventually got them off. Right now, I will be using this hitch for a hitch bike rack, but eventually might use it to pull a camping trailer.
