Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Extremely difficult to install and the build was shoddy. The hitch did not sit flush on the bottom of my car and we had to sand down and drill out the hole to have a proper fit. No part of installation was easy and was a complete headache.
We recently bought a new Hyundai Santa Fe to replace the car we used to tow our utility trailer and carry our bicycles on a hitch-mounted rack. So, as we have in the past, we ordered a new hitch from etrailer.com on a Thursday, it was delivered by the following Tuesday, and installed on the new car on Wednesday. The cost of the hitch was very reasonable and the shipping was free for orders over $99. We ordered by phone and, just as we have experienced in prior dealings, found the etrailer.com agent (Sherry T.) to be extremely helpful and efficient.
I purchased this hitch for a brand new 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. In holding it up in place, it appeared the installation would be very simple. My friend and I realized we wouldn't have to remove the spare tire or drop the exhaust system, so we were thinking it would be a 15 minute job. However, it wasn't that easy. Once we started installing the bolts we found that the holes didn't align properly to allow the two horizontal bolts to slide through their holes. We pushed and pushed and even removed to plugs in the car's frame that were preventing the hitch from laying flush on the frame, but couldn't get them to go. We ended up filing around the hole in the hitch in order to make it fit. I contacted etrailer and they talked about the fact that sometimes the hitches flex in shipping, etc., and that you should flex them back. I talked to them afterwards, so didn't have the benefit of that info while we were installing it, but I'd say we were flexing it as much as we could during the installation. Had it not been for this issue, I would have given the product 5 stars because it really was going to be an easy installation. But overall, seems like a good product.
The Trailer Hitch was of excellent quality, the instructions inside were poor. The online video helped a great deal. The main issue was in installing the Hitch on our Kia Sorento. The body sealing compound was thick enough that there wasn't room to get the bolts lined up, as there was very little clearance. A fair amount of jacking and clamping was required to compress the sealant enough to get everything to line up. Then the two bolt holes above the exhaust were drilled and of the correct thickness, but had not been tapped by Kia, so they had to be tapped. Total time was closer to 2 hours, not counting a trip to the store for the correct tap. The hitch itself was excellent, and is now installed.
Works well. I only carry my bicycles and the hitch holds the rack securely. Had no problems with installation on 2018 Santa Fe since I had a body shop install it. Very good product at a good price.
Overall the hitch fit fairly well. Had one issue with one of the carriage bolts not lining up, but it looks like that might have been the under-frame hole line up being a bit off. Had to use a half round file to open up the top of the hole.
Instructions were clear and the video helpful.
Will be used to haul my bike rack. works perfectly.
Quick shipping, easy installation on my 13 Hyundai Santa Fe, maybe took me 45 minutes to an hour total.
My order was delivered quickly and accurately. The installed hitch looks great.
