2023 Toyota RAV4
Pricing is good, shipping is fast. Manfacturing quality could be better - chain loops welded on crooked - visible to the eye (ongoing issue with Draw-Tite as I've had this on others from them). Packing is poor - ends/attach points poking through the box and scratched up. I've order a few receivers here - always the case. Plan on doing some touch-up painting before installation.

My 2nd order from etrailer. Will knew of the best inconspicuous hitch available for my Rav4 along with the trailer light kit. Fantastic customer service even asking if I needed anything else since my SUV was new. He mentioned a few things and I ended up ordering great mud guards that mounted up without tire removal. Between YouTube videos and printed instructions, we got the hitch, wiring and mud guards installed fairly quickly. A great experience and I will be back.

Just finished the install on my 2023 Rav 4 hybrid, looks great, I think I'm glad it went with it over Curt but I'm sure they're comparable. I installed it myself as a 43 year old guy with little mechanical experience, in my driveway with no lift or ramps, and while it's doable it's not for everyone. I would suggest a partner. Whether you have help or not, start by getting the jack out of your trunk if you have one and, once your rack is in position (guiding the wings around your exhaust on both sides is where a helper would really be handy), center the jack under the hitch to give it some height on a pivot while you get the bolts lined up. If you have extreme trouble with one particular bolt as I did, you may also find it handy to then move the jack to that end and lift it so as to align the hole in the hitch over your weldnut without having to rely on one arm's strength while you're fumbling with the bolt and turning a wrench with the other. Honestly if I had it to do over I'd probably take it down to a shop and pay them to throw it on. There are some out there that probably wouldn't even charge you, especially if you're a regular.

2022 Toyota RAV4
Well built and fits great on my 22' Rav4. Only complaint is the paint quality. Not sure if they used any primer, as some of the paint came off during shipping. Then some more came off where I rested the hitch on a jack to lift it into place when installing. I had to apply primer/paint to the bare metal to prevent rusting in the future.

Travelled across the country with this hitch supporting a bike rack with my two price possession bikes on it. Have checked to see if I need to tighten it down at all, but it is all set and the perfect hitch. This is my second time having an etrailer hitch and I will return to them again and again for any vehicle hitch needs. Thank you!

2020 Toyota RAV4
The product arrived on schedule. I read the instructions and got my tools out. I ordered the exhaust hanger removal tool. This was a great less than $20 investment. I have never removed the hangers with such ease. Everything went as planned as I got the two top bolts into the hitch. Then there was a problem. The hook installed on my 2020 RAV4 did not allow the hitch to swing all the way up to put in the final two bolts. See the pictures. I had to go find the right socket and remove hook. Then I was able to complete the installation. The hitch cannot be installed with the factory hook on the passenger side. Hopefully I'll never need the hook. The hitch frame can probably serve the same purpose as it could be used to tie something down.

I received my order two days earlier than what was anticipated. After the hitch was installed I tried it out for a two day getaway. Worked like a charm. Very well pleased and satisfied. The associate who helped me was/is a pleasure to worked with. She answered all my questions not only about the receiver hitch, but about other products as well. The hitch was received a bit scratched up but that wasn't a huge deal to me but something to note if you are a stickler. I was able to ask my partner to help me install it and he used the help of his brother and sister to get under the car and help him lift the hitch up and secure everything in place. A year later and its still on nicely and intact and I have no complaints. Wish I could post a picture but I cant find my phone at the moment, but this is a real review if that makes you feel better. This was applied on my RAV4 LE 2021.

What I recommend is touching up the affected areas with a rust resistant paint which you will then have on hand for regular hitch maintenance.

Had difficulty with the left side bolts because of how the vehicle is manufactured. Had to buy a torque wrench extension and then do the math. Fun! Toyota has all the tools so it's no problem for them to do this kind of install. However, the hitch is good and has worked very well for hauling my 4x8 trailer.

2022 Toyota RAV4
This is the third time I've ordered the same receiver hitch for my bike rack, each for a separate car. Initially, I started ordering from Etrailer because they were located in Wentzville MO and since I'm originally from Missouri, I liked being able to promote the community of my home state. However, since I've purchased the three receiver hitches and Swagman XC2 bike rack from Trailer, I've been extremely impressed with their timeliness in shipping and additional service available after the fact. I watched the video. It was very helpful. Although this is really an easy job with a little help from a second person I was able to install the hitch myself on the floor of my garage. A second strap to help hold up the hitch made it work.

2021 Toyota RAV4
This looks like a well made product, That being said the packaging and shipment were terrible. The hitch was packed in a box that it fit into without any packing material. It came to my house with three areas of the box open and the edges of the hitch exposed. The three areas exposed were missing paint and will need to be touched up. I have not installed the hitch yet.

This is my fourth hitch purchased from etrailer in the last few yrs and it has been a great experience each time. Shipping is very quick and the installation videos are amazingly helpful for a non skilled average Joe such as myself allowing me to do the installs. 2020 Toyota RAV4
Hitch receiver has not been installed yet on my 2020 RAV4 but I will assume it can be installed properly and that it will work properly similar to the hitch receivers that I bought from etrailer in the past when I had different vehicles. Note that one end of the hitch receiver was protruding extensively through the shipping box when UPS delivered it. The driver said that "this happens all the time during shipment of these things". I could envision that the heavy metal of which the hitch receiver is composed and especially the end that was sticking through the shipping box could do damage to other boxes and the items they contain on the UPS truck. Paint was rubbed off at one spot on it so I assume it did articulate with something else during shipment. Maybe you (etrailer.com) need to think about packaging it better so that it does not end up potentially damaging other items and boxes during shipment.

Bought the hitch and accessories exactly 1 year ago today. At that time it was on a half price sale and free shipping so it was it was a steal. Shipping was very prompt. Cost me a six pack of Southern Pecan beer to get two buddies to install. They spent a lot more time drinking beer because the installation was so simple (after they removed the tie down bracket used for the vehicle’s trip from Japan). The hitch and accessories are beefy, and fit and operate flawlessly.
I would not hesitate to buy this hitch from etrailer.com if you are looking for one for your RAV4.
