The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.You guy's knocked it out of the park on this one. Arrived in a beat up box due to the weight and shipping, not a problem (no damage and everything was there). I took a short glance at the instruction's ( simple and easy to understand). Grabbed my creeper and floor jack, socket, extension and ratchet. Installed bolts in frame, balanced the hitch on my floor jack and up it went. Bolt's lined up perfect. I'm 67 year's old and I did this by myself in about 15-20 minutes. Fast shipping, excellent quality, easy to install it just dose not get any better. Thank You!

fit perfect. looks good. and a good price. was able to buy a wiring "splitter" {brakes,signals and idle lights} at my local auto store. got it all installed. need to torque everything still. it was a satisfying installation, on my dodge ram from 95.
if i may recommend something, on your website to 'suggest' buying kits for wiring in trailer lights. kind of like how other websites uses the "buyers also get this" right under the product

Jenny N - 11/19/2021The product fit perfectly and looks good, the only problem was that on my 1998 Dodge 1500 Sport 6 1/2 foot bed that the hole for mounting on the frame toward the front of the vehicle had to be drilled and on the passenger side the exhaust was in the way and had to buy a $20 extended drill bit to drill the hole in the frame. Other than that everything went fine.
Ok, I’m impressed. Someone said it was a 30 minute job. Wrong. Took me 15. Had one bolt not wanting to go in. One push with a small pry bar and everything dropped into place. Torqued it up to specs, installed the ball and was done in less time than it takes to write this. Rarely impressed with manufacturers claims but this one is spot on. No drill, no trouble, no problem. Thanks for a good product.
This is a great receiver for light weight duty. I bought it for my boat and it tows well.
It may be just certain models but as was stated previously - I did have to drill the 2 forward holes on my 2001 Ram 1500 short bed. It wasn't too much of a problem except on the passenger side where the muffler is in the way. Just unscrew the hanger and move out of the way. Drilled a 1/16 pilot hole then used my step drill to finish - added about 45 mins to the install. Other than that the receiver is perfect for what I needed.
I rated this the way I did because the product description said "no drilling required". I found this WAS NOT the case with the hitch that I received. The four rear holes lined up with the holes in the frame of my truck, however, the 2 front holes did not and needed to be drilled. This was a big step that I was not prepared for with a cordless drill and dull drill bits...
My hitch came to my house in only a couple days. I wanted one that didn't require any drilling or moving the spare tire and this one worked perfectly. I would highly recommend etrailer to anyone needing a hitch or accessories.
Have not used it yet but it looks like it will the only thing it didn't get here for a long time
