The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.We are pretty happy how the hitch turned out. You have to overlook the shipping part as it appears a common issue to have broken boxes, after all this thing is about 50 lbs, but the parts a product was undamaged.
I sprayed painted the hitch with a matte black as it got scuffed during shipping, and I honestly like it better that way.
Installation was pretty straight forward and the fit was spot on. We already used the hitch to transport bikes on a KUAT Sherpa 2.0 rack on a 10 hour round trip with no issues.
As far as looks, it looks great. The cross-bar is hidden and unless you are looking hard, you would not even tell is an after-market hitch. The receiver protrudes maybe 1.5 inches and there is no risk of hitting the legs when loading or unloading. Another reason why picked this one over the Hidden EcoHitch besides price is this one has a mounting bracket if we ever need to add the wiring harness.
We are very pleased with the product and the etrailer service. We are looking forward to many more bike trips.
The hitch was easy to install, but for some reason the "tube" points slightly toward the passenger side of the vehicle. We loosened the bolts and tried to straighten it, but the holes in the hitch were all directly over the holes in the vehicle's frame, and no adjustment was possible. Thus far we have used the hitch only with our bike racks, and have had no problem.
Jenny N - 07/19/2022Installation was easy, after viewing the video links posted. I made some miner changes on my installation. I used a hot gun and manipulated the exhaust flap, so it stayed fully intact. Also reinstalled both splash guards with some miner modifications to them with my Dremel.

The availability and shipping of the product even during Covid was awesome! They delivered as promised. We had it installed and no issues there. We really wanted a hitch that was flush and not seen or sticking out and this is perfect! We love it! Used for a bike rack currently and even being flush mounted, the rack with four adult bikes does not come close to the car. Perfect!

The trailer hitch was an excellent purchased for my needs. The installation instructions were easy to follow and the hitch installation took me about 30 minutes to instaIl to include cutting and trimming the plastic to fit. It’s fit the original manufactures mounting points perfectly . It looks great on my 2021 Highlander. It’s very secure and safe.

Your website did not adequately specify the right vehicle for the wiring harness after I had ordered the hitch. Consequently I am spending 3 days trying to find the right wiring kit. Not very happy with the execution by your company.

ONLY ABOUT 1/2" VISSIBLE BEHIND BUMPER, BELOW AND THE HITCH BOX IS ALL VISSIBLE, PERFECT!! LOWER SPARE TIRE AND WRAP MUFFLER WITH OLD TOWELL, DID NOT REMOVE MUFFLER SUPPORTS!! YOU WILL HAVE TO TRIM DRIVER SIDE UNDER PANEL AS ETRAILER WEB SITE SHOWS IN VIDEO. INSTALLED BY MYSELF WITH A BOX FOR SUPPORT ON DRIVER SIDE. A SECOND PERSON WOULD BE BETTER. WILL BUY AGAIN FROM ETRAILER!!
I like how this hitch fits very neatly under the rear bumper and is barely noticeable like other's I have seen. Video instructions on etrailer were spot on. Only issue I had was the two bolt flanges needed to be spread a bit to get the bolts to start. Had to lay on my back and push with my foot when someone else threaded the bolt, but nothing I'm not used to on a project like this.
The delivery was fast.. the box was damaged in multiple places.. Thanks to good packaging, the contents were undamaged .. no scratches. The finish looks very good. I plan to install it next week.
CROOKS - 05/17/2022The hitch was great. All holes lined up perfectly with the tapped holes in the vehicles frame. I installed it myself, no additional help. The online installation video was a great help. I will be ordering the electrical connector, and that online video looks teriffic, too!
Easy install (I had access to a lift and has been working fine.
Easy to follow instructions for the hitch and wiring kit I purchased separately from etrailer.
Just wish it had a "cleaner" way to run the lights. I zip tied them to the hitch. But I suppose that wasn't really an issue.
The service was very good.The hitch came in 2 days.It took my son in law 20 minutes to put it on.Very happy with this product.
The Draw tite Max frame hitch was easy to install. BUT The tips of the open end were compressed to 38 1/2 inches. The bottom U end was 39 inches. I removed the hitch and had to bend the fork end out to 39 inches. Please take measurements before you start the install. Use U haul video on You Tube for installation advice. 6 minutes and 15 seconds video.

It was as easy to install as stated. This is a 2021 Toyota hybrid platinum. We ordered the wiring harness too. Watched the supplied video and that made it easy as well.

Roger A - 10/06/2022We have a 2019 Toyota Highlander and had a very difficult time finding a hitch for it - this was during the height of the pandemic and add to that the supply chain issue. Our dealer couldn't find one and other local places were trying to track it down for months. Finally found this one on etrailer and it worked perfectly!
The hitch arrived with the separate wiring harness and mounting bracket well wrapped and separated. I installed all parts on our 2020 Highlander alone in about 3 hours, which included removal of the plastic underbody panel and cutting the access holes for the hitch. I chose this hitch so that we could continue using our full size spare tire without interference. Everything fit just as described in your excellent videos. I’d suggest ordering a torque wrench from etrailer along with the hitch if you don’t have one already. Very happy with the results. Thanks for your website, videos and great service.
Perfect fit little bit of effort needed align the holes, miss-align about 2-3millimeters, overall neat design only hitch lip (square) visible outside. I love the video instruction in the website. I did DIY with floor jack and jack stands. I took time (not a pro) (~3hrs) easier than I thought. Nice if they can provide custom made socket to passenger side plastic cover, as we have to leave it without a screw.
