Hidden Cross Tube for a Clean, Factory Look

The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once the hitch is installed, only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. This means that your vehicle can maintain its stylish, from-the-factory look, and you won't have to do any major modifications to its body or frame.

Eco-Friendly Material

With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will withstand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.

Rigorous Strength Testing Ensures Durability

This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

I had to go with an EcoHitch because after ordering and partly installing a DrawTite, I found that one of the required nuts was missing on my Odyssey. I had to return the DrawTite and purchase the EcoHitch. After installing both hitches, I would recommend the DrawTite. It is easier to install, has a better finish and is much cheaper. I would give the DrawTite and Etrailer 5 stars. The staff at etrailer were excellent to work with. I would definitely recommend them to other.

Even though I would have preferred the DrawTite, the EcoHitch has worked very well. I have used it on two long trips and found it to meet my needs.

This hitch is a quality product and we haven't had any issues with it one year into it. We had ours installed by a professional who neatly installed it behind our bumper so only the tow mount was showing. We got this trailer hitch because it worked with our minivan and it was rated appropriately for our bike rack which is designed for the extra weight of our electric bikes (Hollywood e-bike rack).

Very fast shipping. Easy to install. I just back my van onto a couple ramps and I was able to reach everything I needed under the van. The install videos posted on the site were very helpful. I am very happy with the final result.

by:

The installation was straight forward, although due to the weight it's likely going to be a two man job. Once installed it's very sturdy and we've used it multiple times for trailers and carriers without issue.

by:

The hitch works very well. I bought it because its well, hidden. My last hitch would drag when going up even low angle driveways. I have not had that issue with this design. I would buy it again.

by:

Outstanding product that looks and fits great on our vehicle. Used for a bike rack which gives more room for people, pets and gear inside.

Installation video and instructions were very helpful. Very satisfied!

works great! You will need a little auto mechanic understanding on how to remove the bumper. But it was easy with a friend to put on

Had this hitch on for a year now and generally it has been working well. Have used it for a 4-bike rack exclusively so we have not towed with it. When loaded with 4 bikes, the receiver does slightly rotate downward which impacted our departure angle. Also, when the departure angle is extreme the receiver can scrape the road. This has happened only twice since we installed it and took place when the van was heavily loaded and had bikes on it vacation sag. I do not know how people get by with the hitch that fully hangs below the bumper. This one places the receiver where the stock one would reside so its the best alternative to the OEM hitch IMO. There is some light rust around the receiver and the bumper cover is slightly deformed around the underside of the rear. Otherwise, the hitch fits and functions well.

The hitch fit as it was advertised for our Honda Oddessy

  • Installation of EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch on 2014 Honda Odyssey
I have added a link on this page to the installation instructions for the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7253 for you to check out. The installation of this hitch, which does fit your 2014 Honda Odyssey, is a complete bolt-on installation so no drilling in your Odyssey's frame is needed to install it. The EcoHitch will require you to remove your bumper and slight fascia trimming but you will get a trailer hitch with a completely hidden crosstube like in the accompanying photo.

  • Comparison Between Draw-Tite 76025 and EcoHitch 306-X7253 for 2015 Honda Odyssey
The primary difference is a matter of numbers. When installed, the Draw-Tite Class III # 76025 will sit so the inside top edge of the receiver tube sits about 13 inches above the ground, and the receiver tube will sit under the bumper so that the hitch pin hole is recessed under the vehicle by about 5 inches. The EcoHitch # 306-X7253 inside top edge of the receiver will sit about 14 inches above the ground and the hitch pin hole will be recessed by about 4 inches. In other words, the...

  • Hitch with Best Ground Clearance for 2011 Honda Odyssey
For your 2011 Honda Odyssey the best 2 inch hitch option for ground clearance is the EcoHitch part # 306-X7253 which has the hitch opening the closest to the rear bumper but also only the hitch opening hangs below the bumper so there isn't a portion of the hitch that would want to drag turning into elevation changes like your driveway. Normally hitches have a lower crosstube same height as the hitch opening which is what drags on the outside corners, but the EcoHitch does not have that...

  • Best Hitch for Ground Clearance on 2013 Honda Odyssey
Generally speaking, a hitch with a concealed cross tube is going to provide for a bit better ground clearance than a hitch that does not; concealed cross tube hitches will almost always mount behind the bumper, requiring removal. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 306-X7253 provides the best ground clearance of any of the hitches available for your 2013 Honda Odyssey with 14" from the top of the receiver tube to the ground. The best hitch I would recommend for your 2013 Honda Odyssey the EcoHitch part # 306-X7253 as it has a mostly hidden appearance, is the 2 inch hitch size which is the most popular and has best capacity. Other options are going to hang down below the rear bumper quite a bit more. Then for trailer wiring the # 118521 which is the easiest to install and has the most reliable converter box. I have a solution for you but they don't give us that information. I can tell you that the side to side bolt hole spacing of the etrailer Trailer Hitch item # e98862 is 56.13", center to center. This is the frame width measurement. The bolt holes on each mounting flange are 3.18" apart, also measured center to center. I've shown these dimensions on the photo I have linked below of the diagram I made. Additionally we had a 2012 Honda Odyssey in and we took some measurements off of it once...
