The hitch is heavy duty and well designed. It is completely hidden on my 2020 Volvo xc60, which was important to me.
I did the installation of the receiver onto the car body myself, and the instructions were adequate.
This review would be 5 stars, except that removing the hitch from the hidden receiver is somewhat difficult.
The release spring that locks it in place has quite a bit of resistance to it that requires me to lay on the ground to better position myself for its removal.
Installation was much easier than I anticipated! I'm a very mechanically inclined guy but I'll be honest, removing the bumper cover on a basically brand new 80k vehicle was intimidating. After watching the video I got started and realized it was fairly easy. I did not have to trim the bumper cover or remove the bumper end stops (2023 XC90) as the video showed. Entire installation took about an hour.
The only issue I had was installing the receiver mechanism into the bracket. It came greased well but was still extremely hard to turn the knob and lock in. I tried removing the grease and spraying with penetrating oil. That made it worse! Ended up cleaning with solvent and re-greasing with white lithium grease which reduced the effort to turn the knob considerably. If it weren't for this I would give it 5 stars.
With the help of the etrailer.com installation video, the hitch installed beautifully. I had to trim a small piece of the bumper underneath as well as the aluminum shield to be able to use the safety chain attachment holes but the trimmed pieces are not noticeable. Takes a little getting used to inserting the removable hitch but once you get the hang of it, it works and looks great. My car is a 2024 Volvo XC60 Recharge.

Excellent! Much easier install and perfect fit as compared to the one with the fixed hitch. I had the other one on my 2021 XC60 and now on 2024 XC60 this hitch is perfect for a clean organized look. Not need to bend the brackets or cut the bumper on 2024 model! Thank you e-trailer!
Nice product and an easy 20min to install. I am confirming that this fits a 2025 Volvo XC60.
The installation video sold me on this one. I didn’t have to modify anything on my bumper, 2023 B6 XC90. It looked to be factory prepped for a hitch. I did decide to slightly bend the rear body panel lower flange down a little bit to allow the hitch to fit slightly better. That was however probably unnecessary. I would recommend having some touch up paint for the reinforcement nuts and order yourself some extra flare clips just incase you break a few. I am extremely familiar with taking cars apart and I still broke 1 flare clip per side. I do not plan to tow with this vehicle. For me this hitch is for bike racks and cargo carriers. It is really nice that it is totally hidden when not in use. etrailer has been my go to for many trailer hitches and they have never let me down.
