Added this to my new to me 2015 Highlander Limited. I really liked because it is really hidden under the car other then the receiver. The first one came and it was bent, so it did not line up with the holes in the frame. Contacted etrailer and they quickly sent a new one, which installed perfectly. So other then that glitch, it was a perfect experience. Would highly recommend this product.
Excellent trailer hitch for the 2016 Toyota Highlander. I use it for hauling Jet Ski's. Installation was easy while using a jack and a bucket to hold it up for me.
I ordered this for my 2019 Lexus RXHL hybrid SUV. With only minor cutting for the install, it fits perfectly. It's says on the site doesn't fit, but it does. I do have to turn off the automatic break sensor so it doesn't auto break when I have the bike rack on. Only git it fir bike rack or minor tow like luggage tow.
The looks are perfect , it looks great on the highlander and feels rock solid. My only complaint was that the mounting holes did not line up correctly, about 1/8” off on 2 out of the 6 mounting holes, separate sides, which does not sound like much but try flexing a trailer hitch haha, I had to flex it with a crowbar and wood to spread the hitch bar and line it up..it added some time to the job. Nevertheless the hitch is on and it looks great and the quality seems top notch. I do recommend this hitch and it would have 5 stars if I didn’t Have that 1 issue.
Brooke M - 12/14/2022Looks great on the car. I like that you can pretty much only see the receiver, where on some other models you can see the tubes. I wanted to go OEM, but couldn’t justify paying more than double.
Installation videos were very helpful. There was a little challenge getting one of the six bolts on. I tried spreading the arms a little, but didn’t have much luck. I found the after getting a bolt, loosely, in each side, then installing the rest on the passenger side, I could use a ratcheting clamp to get a enough play to install the last bolt (driver’s side toward front). I then went back and torqued all to spec.

1 year review...Still working great...love the hidden look just the center part in visible and out of the way from hitting your knee unless you leave the hitch in all the time...worth it to pay a bit more for the hidden one, still about half the price of factory one.
2018 Highlander XLE - The Curt C13394 is sleek and hardly noticeable under the bumper. IMO the square tube design looks more professional than that of the round tube design of many aftermarket hitches. I followed the 2019 Highlander video instructions found here on etrailer. That video suggested keeping the bumper stabilizer brackets in place. I was able to put them back in the stock position with the stock push pins. I printed out the pictures found in the Earnest 08/01/2020 review and was able to make exact cuts for the driver's side plastic side panel using his pictures as examples. I'd also suggest measuring across the hitch before you install it to make sure it had not been bent in shipping. It is 41" center to center. I appreciated etrailer's support who gave me those measurements ahead of time. It bolted right in place when my help arrived to hoist it up. The rating is 500 lbs tongue weight and 5000 pulling weight. The Highlander's rated at 5000 lbs towing rate. The shipping was fast and free!!
Monte - 08/18/2022Your ad for this hitch didn't list it fitting my 2021 Lexus rx450hl. But it fit perfectly with minor cutting of some plastic under body panels. It looks great and all you see is the receiver everything else is hidden

This product was great to install. You will need another person with you because the hitch weighs about 60-80 lbs (estimate). I was able to use a car lift since I am a mechanic. However this can be done on the ground. There might be a little struggle taking a clip off the fender liner in the left rear. For that i suggest taking the wheel off. You will need to cut out some part of the plastic bumper underneath so nobody will see it. Directions are clear, i suggest using a colored printout or using your phone because the black and white print that they give you is not very clear. Overall a good accessory, took about 30 mins with an air impact wrench (battery is fine too).
Received the hitch in good shape with all the parts and instructions. Installation on a 2017 Highlander was not difficult and it fit very well. Very sturdy and strong. I used it immediately to tow my 21' boat.
Looks and works great.
The hitch appears to be very solid and the crossbar is concealed behind the rear bumper. The bolts supplied are about 1/2” shorter than the Lexus bolts that are removed prior to installing the hitch. I ended up reusing 4 Lexus bolts and only 2 of the new supplied bolts. The supplied new bolts were just too short to get the bolts threaded into the bolt holes. I’m an experienced DYI’ er and the install took me 4 1/2 hours. Way more than the 1 hour they claim a Novice can do the install. I did the install by myself so I expected it might take more than an hour. I would buy the hitch again
A few weeks ago I installed the Curt C13394 hitch from etrailer.com on my 2020 Lexus RX450hL. etrailer and Curt don't seem to know that this hitch which is meant for the 350L does also fit the 450hL but it fits perfectly. The install was fairly easy, I did it all myself except I had my son help me to lift it into place and get the first few bolts in place. The videos on etrailer are helpful, but there isn't one for a Lexus RX for this hitch. However, there is one for another hitch that installs very similar, so suggest watching the Lexus RX350L install video. The biggest task was probably cutting the driver's side panel to go over the hitch since they don't give you a template or anything. What I did was pushed it into place to see where it hit the hitch and then tried to just trim the minimum amount necessary with a Dremel and a cutting blade. The second picture shows the panel after I trimmed it and re-installed it. The third picture is the front part of that same panel to show where I trimmed it there.
I won't be towing with this vehicle so I only installed the hitch and didn't bother with the electrical hook up. I just need it for a bike rack and possibly a cargo carrier. Most of the time I only need to carry one bike so this will allow me to have a small single bike rack most of the time and I can add room for a second rack only when I need it.

I installed this trailer hitch on my 2019 RX 350l Lexus. It was easy to install and and if you follow the instructions everything goes pretty good. The only slight issue I had was one of the hose did not line up completely but my 11-year-old son was able to line it up with a screwdriver and I was able to install the screw with no problem. I had to trim some of the plastic pieces and now it looks like it came from the factory like that. It only took 45 minutes to install.
First of all this is my fifth or sixth purchase from "etrailer.com" their prices cannot be beat!! Thanks for that. This hitch was installed on my "new to me" 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited. As a very qualified Toyota tech was doing the install, we did not exactly follow the video instructions that were for a 2019 and 2017 (attached to my order). Anyway the install was clean and well done, the large "tab" over the exhaust was cut/trimmed away. The other two small arms/tabs were NOT removed and added to the clean install. My only issue, would be that there was no "retention" port/plug for the 4 pin wire harness, so it hangs free. See pictures. Otherwise very happy. thanks again etrailer.

This is my second hitch purchases from etrailer. I would have given 5 stars however, like noted in some reviews my hitch too was bent, almost a inch off. The best way I found to bend it back in shape is use two 4x4 post pieces and a hydraulic jack, used from my Yukon.. Otherwise it is only a 30 minute job to install. I recommend, since this seems to be a issue from time to time, is place either a 1x1 or 2x4 or other ridged device to ensure the hitch maintains its shape during shipping. You guys have great vids showing how to install. Highly recommend your products.
