Spent more time preparing the weldnuts to clean out surface rust than bolting up the6 fasteners. Would be helpful if automakers plugged the threaded holes for trailer accessories to keep them clean until used (Toyota did this on our Highlander)

It was easy to install myself and it fits well. I have used it a lot to transport electric bikes. It has worked wonderfully. I dont have any complaints.

I installed this on my 2022 EX-L FWD Passport.
The video was spot on and I had the hitch installed in about 45 minutes with just myself doing it. I would have been done even faster if I had a better / longer torque wrench, but with a lot of effort I got them to torque down like they were supposed to. 136 lb/ft was about everything I could give my 150 lb/ft torque wrench. I would highly recommend getting or borrowing a 250 lb/ft torque wrench to do the install. Will save you a lot of issues! Also, I did shear off a cheap socket extension as well, but my impact extension did fine after that.
This is a nice hitch, and very well-made. No reason to may more for any of the alternatives, unless you have to have gloss black. Installation tip: you HAVE to clean out the threads of the imbedded nuts on your vehicle (if it has them), otherwise, you will have GREAT difficulty getting the bolts started into the frame. Etrailer has a great video on this. They say to allow 30 minutes for cleaning out the nuts, which is pretty close. I didn't have the correct size tap, so I did the "cut the groove into the bolt" trick in the video, but since I didn't have a spare bolt, I just used of the provided ones, filing a small groove in the first 3 or 4 threads with a small triangular file. Not long or deep enough to affect the strength of the bolt, but still serves the purpose. Take your time when doing this, as you don't want to cross-thread a bolt, and use lots of WD40. Also, this hitch is heavy! I managed it alone (on the ground) by propping it up on wood blocks, but I'm in my 70's so it wasn't easy.
Fit almost perfectly. Took some effort to get last bolt started (it was rubbing against side of hole in hitch) but I was able to get it in without having to oversize/modify hole at all.
I have purchased at least 4 other hitches and never had an issue with the pre-drilled holes lining up perfectly. This one was the first one that the last hole was off by about an eight of an inch. Doesn’t sound like much , but trust me you aren’t going bend this hitch. No biggie, drilled it out a little larger, but that is the reason for the four stars instead of five.
Super easy installation in about 15 mins with a pair of jack stands to assist.

The product was inexpensive, the shipping was free and it arrived within 3 days of ordering it.
At about 46 lbs the hitch is pretty heavy so I recommend having 2 people install it.
The install was done in about 45 minutes with just me and my girlfriend. We used a crate and car jack to lift it to position and screwed in the bolts with a 22mm socket. The fit was perfect and the hitch looks and feels solid.
we found this product online and watched a couple videos that were available on your site and made the decision to order this hitch. not only did we get free shipping, we also recieved this hitch within a couple days. Although I had to file a little on one of the slots for one of the fasteners to fit in placeit only took a few minutes to resolve the issue.the receiver fit our vehicle perfectly.
Arrived quickly. Fit perfectly. Six bolts to install. Did it myself in about 30 minutes.

I have a 2020 Honda Passport and this trailer hitch receiver is really easy to install. I installed myself using a floor jack. Installation took me about 30 minutes. Initial placement took about 20 minutes. Extra 10 minutes was to Loctite and secure each bolt (6) with a torque wrench. Installation video was very helpful.
Ordered the hitch receiver and cover just a few days ago and received it yesterday. Super quick free shipping! I was able to install it by myself using a couple of crates for support. Super easy and quick install, only took about 30 minutes total. I showed it to a neighbor who does a lot of welding and he commented on how nice the welds are on this product. Highly recommend the etrailer brand!
This etrailer hitch is great,but heavy for an 81 year old. So I used a jack as pictured. Along with C- clamp and counter balance to get it placed under my Passport correctly. But I got it in. My grandson helped me torque it the next day. Any way perfectly fit my 2022 Passport. And looks very good.
Took me a while to install as I'M 81 years old, 1 hour an 20 minutes, but I did it myself,no help. I used 3 ropes, one on each side an one on the end,
inched it up a bit at a time as I had no floor Jack. When it was high enough I weged it in place an installed the 6 14mm bolts. So it can be done with no help. Every place I checked wanted 150 to 200 dollars.
Excellent product. Exact fit with no issues. Took about 15 minutes to install. My only complaint is the packaging. It was just loose in the box, and the finish on the hitch was a little scuffed up during transit. Nothing was through the powdercoat, however, and there was nothing you would see after installation.
Had some trouble with the 6 holes .
Had to rotary file the holes a little.
Finish was not great, paint was scraped in 3 places.
Other than that, it’s a really sturdy hitch!

Hitch is working well as expected and installation was straightforward. I do wish automakers would plug the tapped holes for the hitch. Spent more time chasing the tapped mounting holes with a tap along w applying a lubricant than actually bolting up the hitch.
