Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.Very easy to find the hitch that I needed on the website. The ordering process was also very easy. The shipping was very fast. The hitch was packaged in an excellent way that kept it secure in the box. After watching the short install video on the website, I already knew what tools I needed and how to install the hitch well before it arrived. During install, I had to release the tension on the spare slightly as it was rubbing. I tightened the spare after complete install. I did use an extra set of hands to hold it in place while putting the bolts back in. This was the easiest install that I have done on a vehicle. The product was damage free and appears to be very solid. Absolutely satisfied.
This was a easy an install as I've ever had it took me longer to drop the spare tire than it did to bolt up the hitch and that includes clamping the rear bumper. It blends in with the bumpercolor great! Would absolutely recommend this and it showed up a day early
Seems good quality and very easy to install, but the hitch had Marks and scratches like if it was installed and then returned.

I can see what you mean about the scratches in the photos you sent. I used to work in the Returns Department here at etrailer, and I can assure you that this hitch has not been previously installed. There would be very deep grooves from lock washers and hardware. But your hitch is still scratched up! I will send your information to our customer service team and have them contact you about what can be done.
I ordered 2 days ago and installed it today. After watching the video the installation was very easy. I'm 67 years old and did it by myself in less that 20 minutes. I used two visegrips to hold the bumper on and a jack stand to hold up one end while I bolted the opposite end. The hardest part was trying to generate the 196 ft lbs to torque the bolts. GreT service with great products.

Great hitch. Arrived on time, very easy to install. It took about 30 minutes with the help of my neighbor. I highly recommended etrailer.
Peyton verified what I needed and it was sent out the same day, even arrived by UPS a day early. I saw it took most people 30 minutes to install, me, 3 hours. Spent 2 1/2 of those hours at Home Depot buying a breaker bar for the bumper bolts. Actual time was about 30 minutes. Matte finished matched the rear bumper perfectly.
Product is geeat. Got on your website to get install video.no issues, except factory installer at Ford over tightened the 4 bolts and they were hard to get loose. I followed your instructions that came with hitch for torque setting. Thanks
Hitch appears to be similar in quality to more well known names. Instructions were easy to follow and took about 15 mins to install. The hitch receiver arrived with some scuffs, even though it was well packaged. No affect on the performance just odd since it's brand new. Time will tell if the finish holds up.

Im sorry to see that your hitch has received some scratches on it due to shipping. This does tend to happen and when it does, we recommend using a Rust-oleum type paint to cover up any scratches and prevent corrosion in the future during use. I have a link below for your reference. I have also sent this information over to our Customer Service Department for them to get into contact with you.

Solid product, finish is holding up well and I would purchase again.
Ordered on Sunday, arrived on Wednesday. Installation went just as shown in the video. I did by myself and used two 5 gallon buckets to hold the hitch while I bolted it up. I did have to loosen the spare tire and move it forward an inch or so so it wouldn’t rub on the hitch.
Fit the truck carpet very easy to install best company in the business

Great, no problems. I haul trailers 2 or 3 times a week with this.
Package was full of staples where holes in the cardboard occur and taped together where the box was ripped. Contents were in excellent condition dispute the above issues
I assume this is almost identical to several competing products, except for having a matte finish which I think most would prefer to gloss. It's at the right price, and quick delivery. Very easy to install if you have the right tools.
High quality unit that fit right in with no issues. Use a breaker bar with 1/2" head and 13/16" deep socket to easily achieve the 196 ft-lbs for the 4 bolts. That's all there is to it. Clamp the bumper, remove all 4 bolts, place hitch underneath, replace 4 bolts and torque to 196 ft-lbs - which is about a 2-handed, full body lean with a standard breaker bar that is about 12" long. I used red loctite on 2 of the 4 bolts and I could tell the difference so I recommend using the loctite - the 2 bolts with loctite felt smoother on the bar.
This is the 4th trailer hitch I have bought from etrailer, this one by far was the easiest to install. I was able to get it installed in 20 minutes on my own. The installation did not require me to take the whole bumper apart as I would have had to do if I purchased a trailer hitch from Ford.
Quality piece, thick gauge steel with strong neat welds. The matte finish powder coat has a slight texture to it that looks really great.

The hitch is really holding up well after one year of use. the powder coat finish still looks great with no rust.
The hitch is as described and as expected. It went on my Ranger easier than expected. Four bolts and was a breeze. Is manufactured to accommodate the vehicle. It was also received a couple days earlier than expected or promised.

I purchased my etrailer hitch because it is made in the US and super easy to get what fits my truck. I opened my hitch looks very nice I cant wait to install it this weekend.
