This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.Package did arrive damaged with both mounting flanges poking out of the box. However after inspection there was no damage to the hitch or any parts. Installation was smooth (watch the YouTube vid BEFORE starting) and straightforward. Removing and reinstall the rear bumper cover / bodywork was the hardest thing and that was very easy. So easy a 16 year old could do it.
Corners of the plates welded to ends of tube punctured through the box. Corners of plates had powder coating rubbed off (pic #1 inside of box). Hitch receiver side had also punched through the wall of box but it comes wrapped in tape so no powder coat issues there.
I followed the you tube video for install and the dish soap spray helped lube clips for removing bumper fascia.
Easy install, looks great, be patient removing fascia and paper towel trick works for removing nuts.
Arrived 2 days before road trip. 3.5 hours to install (1 hardware store trip). Kuät Sherpa 2.0 bike rack looks great.
Hitch installation went smoothly thanks to the instructional video. I've installed 3 hitches on different vehicles and this Q5 was probably the most involved. Took about 2 hours to complete by myself. A second set of hands would make things go a little faster. No raising of jacking of car needed, in fact it would make it harder. Result looks great.
This is my second purchase from etrailer and I couldn’t be happier. The tow hitch arrived ahead of schedule and looks to be perfect. I ordered the trim tool kit as well and it was securely inside the box. Can’t wait to install it.
The hitch came quickly and fit as advertised. I used the youtube videos from etrailer as instructions. The paper instructions that come with the hitch are not worth reading. But if you watch several of the etrailer install videos, you will have no trouble. I installed it alone without problems. I left the car on the floor and used a couple of boxes to support the plastic bumper. About 4 hours going carefully.
This hitch looks like it came from the factory, incredible value. I did the complete installation in 3hrs 15min, alone, and taking water breaks lol. I recommend asking someone to help with the lifting parts, was a little challenging alone.

Had the hitch for a year now it’s holding up really well, figment was great. Took a little more work to install on my ‘23 Q5e (Hybrid Q5) had to unbolt rear floor and remove subwoofer but was pretty straight forward install.
The included instructions are helpful, and we also found the install video for a different hitch (same car) that helped a ton. Patience is key. Getting the bumper back on without any trimming was possible, but it was definitely not easy. Glad I had another person helping me. All in all, the installation was smooth with only three minor hiccups: the hitch fouled on a muffler shield (used pliers to slightly bend to not be an issue), the instructions didn’t mention disconnecting two wires (the video did, and was very easy with video instructions), and getting the bumper over the hitch without trimming was very tricky and took some effort to flex the bumper around it. Ultimately, the instructions and video did help immensely and I was pleased with the install and process.
I was pleased that this hitch in particular did not replace the crash bar.
Install on an 2023 Audi Q5 was not bad. Hard part was taking the bummer off but doable. Tip for using paper towels on the captured nuts worked perfectly.
Good finish, excellent fitment. Bolts and washers are far better than those complained about in some posts. Very easy to install.

The product arrived quickly, and is exactly what I ordered. I watched a video on [online] to help me with the install, and even though it was labeled "Difficult", with the video it was no problem. The final product fits and looks great, and will help me pull my trailer.

It’s a very heavy-duty hitch that fit perfectly on my 2020 Audi Q5. I did by myself, but I should have waited for help. It would have been easier with someone else to hold up one side, but I got ‘er done.
