This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.Finished install looks great, but installation (for me) wasn't as easy as I was expecting. Clearances are very tight, regardless of which direction you install the long bolts (see below). I would recommend screwing the smaller bolts into the frame before attempting to mount the hitch to make them easier to screw in while you are holding the hitch in place. I installed the longer thru bolts from the outside of the car with nuts on the inside on the drivers side, and from the inside of the car to the outside on the passenger side. To me, this was the easiest way to access the nuts with the torque wrench, but it was still a pita.
Installation video says to just bend or cut the yellow tabs coming down from the bottom of the car if they are in your way. DON'T do that - an easier way to get them out of your way is to pop up the round covers within the cargo area (where the jack is stored) and unscrew the screw in there. The yellow tab will now push up out of your way and is easily pushed back in place when you are done. (see pic)
I usually rate my jobs by number of f-bombs I drop - this one was a 3 f-bomber (out of 10) so not too bad, but it did take me about two hours.
Love the way it looks - crossbar is completely hidden. No trimming of the bumper panel was required.
This was installed on a 2024 Hyundai Palisade SEL.

One year out and hitch is still working and looking great!
I bought this hitch for a 2023 Hyundai Palisade to tow our Casita travel trailer. Sturdy product, easy installation, and great fit. eTrailer made it easy to order on-line and kept me updated on every step through the delivery process. Next steps are to install the 7-pin wiring harness and brake controller.

etrailer hith for Palisade.Order and delivery was fine, after install when I mounted a bike rack I noticed that rack is tilted to the right side. Contacted customer suppport and their response was "the hitch is within specs and that the angle is exaggerated by the bike rack and it will not affect the integrity of the hitch". Well that is great. Anything I put behind this car will be croocked. Acceptable to etrailer but not for me.
Very not happy.
I have purchased couple of hitches from etrailer before with no issues.
Customer support rep was responsive and polite, no issues there.

The Class III Receiver Hitch e95ZR was a perfect fit for my 2022 Hyundai Palisade - like a glove. From the factory the hitch arrived in a well packaged substantial cardboard box. I selected the flat black paint option because I didn't care to have anything shiny but the truth of the matter all you can see is the hitch receiver out the back end of the car. The novice installation time of 90 minutes would require you have the ultimate set of DIY tools and know exactly what to do when during the installation! I did a minimal amount of "pre-installation research" then tackled the job. Maybe I am just old and slow but give yourself more like 4 hours start (unboxing) to finish (putting the tools away). Here is my adventure - I started by dropping the spare tire, then I removed the drivers side plastic cover (where you attach the wiring harness). When you remove this start by first loosening the two overhead plastic fasteners then pop the (3) lower trim fasteners. If you don't already have a small metal automotive trim fastener tool - get one! They are cheap and will save you from busting your knuckles. Once that was done a got busy figuring out the exhaust isolation hangers which are about fist sized rubber attachments. I had good access and success with two of them - with a little soapy water and a strong firm pull they popped off. Then because I did have a little lowering of the exhaust I set off thinking I could wiggle in the hitch into position. This proved to be successful but wasted time - hard to reach the bolt holes and get things lined up while balancing a 39lb hitch. Really you want a 2nd set of hands for this - would make it significantly easier! I did manage to get at least 1 bolt in to hold the hitch but with no workable room then set out to pull the 3rd exhaust isolation hanger. However this one - closer to the passenger side rear wheel is in a difficult position - no leverage. So after wasting considerable time I relented and pulled the passenger side rear wheel off the car. This was the key and allowed me to slide off the hanger. I used a bungee cord to temporary provide strain relief to the exhaust. Once the exhaust was out of the way there was enough room to get all the bolts in place and secure them to the specified torque. When doing that I used a wrench to hold the nut or bolt head while taking advantage of the space on the outsides of the car (you will know what I mean the first time you crawl under). Electrical work - not much to show here - make sure the tabs line up and you will hear a very satisfying click. How you dress it up under the plastic cover is up to you - I am a fan of zip tying things together but mindful of wire bend radius. One thing when you slip the plastic cover piece back on there is easy room (no need to cut) for the hitch receiver wire (flat plug) but you will need to push and pinch in the cover a little depending on you bolt vs. nut direction. The instructions show having both bolt heads on the inside of the hitch towards the outside of the car which for the rearward bolt on the driver side should be reversed (would make for an easier install). Tip - you will see some purple in the pictures on the bolts. That is thanks to my daughters old nail polish - a nice way to know visually if anything has moved over time (and it has the right DIY cost = free). Overall what's important is that you have confidence in a safe and secure installation - so don't worry about the time clock you are not a professional wrench turner. Slow down and enjoy the install these hitches will outlast your car (they have for me on previous cars).

Amazing customer service. Ordered on a Thursday, received on a Saturday, and had it professionally installed in 60 minutes. It’s more low profile than I expected (was strongly considering the stealth hitch but glad I didn’t go that route). Matte looks great. It doesn’t protrude beyond the bumper (see pic for a 2024 Palisade) and looks good (as in doesn’t draw attention). Very excited to use a proper bike rack now instead destroying a trunk with a rack!
Easy installation and supporting information was great. Had to wait from Hyundai’s wiring. But all good. Thanks for asking.

One year and no issues. I only use it occasionally, so its nice that it has a low profile and hasnt become a shin bump.
etrailer sells what they say. I ordered this receiver got it the next day . Perfect fit video with etrailer described exactly what to do . I had it attached in 35 mins start to finish mysef no jacks or help. Well built uet light enough to handle with ease. I truely recommend this company. Very pleased.

Hey there Anton, glad the hitch worked out well for you. I am happy to recommend a new hitch for ya. Can you confirm that you have a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L? A Trailhawk or non Trailhawk model?
The hitch receiver quality is top notch. It is heavy so you know it's made to handle heavy loads. Installation didn't go smoothly for me on my 2020 Palisade but I've done enough small DYI repair jobs on my cars to know that nothing goes smoothly when being a home mechanic. It took me well over 2:30 hours to finish the job (with breaks of course). I am listing the issues I faced and hope it will help someone out. Issue #1: As shown in the video, the drivers side has the plastic protrusion getting in the way. As most other reviews suggested, I inserted it from the outside in to get around that problem. Issue #2: On the passenger side, I had a very hard time hand threading the short vertical bolt. I just could not get it to bite no matter what angle I inserted it from. I sprayed and cleaned the hole with a wire brush so that wasn't the issue. After trying for about 20 times, I basically had to sort of push it in with my finger just enough for it catch and then use the wrench very carefully to tighten. That was extremelly frustrating to say the least. Issue #3: On the passenger side, there is a metal cover on the underside (heat shield perhaps) that prevents the horizontal bolt from going through. The bolt head hit the metal cover and would get stuck. I ended up tapping the metal piece with other other side of the wrench to flatten it a bit and then had to tap the bolt head with the pry bar to force it through. Issue #4: When I went to put the plastic cover back on I noticed that one of the long bolts was getting in the way of making the holes align for the plastic piece to attach. I thought I was going to have to loosen the bolt and insert it from outside in (same as the other bolt which was getting stuck on the plastic piece) but then I realized if I angle the plastic cover just right and force it in it will fit in to place. Having said all this, I am super happy with the end result. It's totally doable at home, just be patient if things don't go smoothy.

High quality hitch! We just got rear ended with our bike rack in. Bike rack is a loss, but the hitch wasn’t phased at all
Nicely fabricated piece and even though etrailer tries to package it securely it still managed to bust through the box in a couple of places. I like the matte finish and glad I had some flat black rust inhibiting paint on hand to touch up surface damage from shipping. Installation wasn't too difficult with the hardest part being tightening down the through bolts on the exhaust side because the muffler gets in the way. By reversing the through bolts on the driver side there is no need to trim the plastic cover or the plastic anchor that comes through the floor. I also reversed the inner through bolt on the exhaust side because the heat shield gets in the way of sliding the bolt through. Installation took me 90 minutes solo mostly because I took the time to chase the threaded holes in the frame and the nuts on the through bolts because I ran into these issues on two other installations on other vehicles. One note even though it's "Custom Fit" on the drivers side there was a gap between the mounting plate and frame rail after I tightened everything down. I'm not too concerned because I hit my torque values and I'm not towing anything just using it for my bike rack. Overall a nice hitch that looks better than stock IMO and I like that only the receiver is visible with the bulk of it hidden behind the bumper facia.
Exactly as the video at each trailer showed. It's a bit laborious but in the end will look great and it's a good way to do. Handyman work I'm on the car. Hitch looks great quality and feels good too.

The trailer hitch fits perfectly, is excellent quality and installation was easy to navigate. etrailer provides outstanding customer service, ordering was simple, the item shipped quickly (and shipping was free!) and then they sent follow up emails with instructional videos for our product. It was easy to install once I put the rear tires on ramps to get better access. Lining up the bolts through the frame can be a little tricky and tightening them required some creative vice grip use. But overall, pretty straightforward install. Hitch works great, as expected.
Nice hitch. Installation on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade was straightforward. Total time, including watching the video, assembling materials, etc., was less than 2 hours for this 67 year old guy. I used car ramps to elevate the rear end. This may not have been necessary but I'm glad I had the extra inches to maneuver. Inserting the long bolts from the outside made things easier - no need to cut, pound or deform anything. I applied blue medium strength lock-tite crayon to the bolt threads. I used a strap to support the tailpipe before disconnecting the muffler. The video's tip about spraying the rubber hangers helped make disconnecting them by hand very easy. I could have done the whole job by myself but having my wife support one end of the hitch until I could insert a bolt was a big help.
Perfect fit! I liked the way the main tube is hidden behind the rear bumper fascia so the hitch receiver is the only thing that can be seen from the rear of the car. I looked at the Hyundai factory hitch and the main tube is below the rear fascia, so this hitch is a cleaner look. The installation was pretty simple, all hardware was supplied. I did the installation by myself, and the car was on thew ground. The quality is heavy duty, and the hitch seems very solid and strong. I highly recommend this hitch for this application.
The install was easy to manage. The hitch had a bit of alignment offset. I called tech support to verify it was OK to go ahead with the installation. The tech support group was VERY knowledgeable and thorough.
I've towed several 8x12'Uhaul trailers with FULL loads. The hitch handled each run flawlessly.
Placed my order for the hitch on Monday, got confirmation that it would arrive at my home in phoenix AZ from MO on Thursday. However, it got here in 2 days on Wednesday, so I was able to install today, Thursday. Was not an easy install on my 2022 Hyundai Palisade by myself without a lift. Did I mention I’m 78 years old? Could have used a little assistance, but I’m stubborn that way. The hitch fit well and is very well built. The product is as good as the service and worth every penny of the very competitive price. Looking forward to putting it in use carrying our 2 e-bikes. By the way, this is my second hitch from etrailer a second terrific experience.
Wow, what a well made hitch. Absolutely loved the Matte Powder coat finish. Product videos were extremely helpful and accurate. Only thing that I found to do better was to reverse the horizontal bolt direction on the driver's side on the 2022 Hyundai palisade. By doing this I eliminated the need to cut the cargo anchor screw point and the need to chop on the wire harness valance cover.
Just as described. Took me an hour to install. No lift or ramps. Used my beer belly as a jack to lift and hold the hitch in place. If you don't have one, get a friend to help, it is a bit heavy and awkward for one.
I reviewed the video for installation a few times and made some notes from it, as well as others posts in the hopes to avoid the difficulty others had. The prep paid dividends. Installation was as smooth as could be hoped for, without the vehicle being raised up. I did have some difficulty in disconnecting the muffler support near the right rear tire, as there isn't a lot of space to operate. Once that was off, the rest of the installation went as planned. There was lots of shimmying and using 2x4 blocks to get the hitch to the right height to get the bottom four bolts semi-attached, but once that was completed, it went rather quickly. I was done in just over an hour. Very Pleased.
Solid product at a much more reasonable price than OEM. Installation instructions were clear. Seamless install.
