It took me 30 minutes to do it from start to finish. Genius idea on the spring to hold the third screw. Would certainly purchase from you again. Thank you.
Frank - 06/08/2022Once we figured out what we were doing by watching videos, it was fairly easy. On the 2021 Honda Odyssey Elite specifically, you have to remove the underside panel by the push buttons and it’s also connected to the wheel well with a screw. As for the opposite side, taking the exhaust off would make it a lot easier to get those bolts on. We have not used it yet with the cargo carrier but we will soon. It also arrived a little scratched up but I’m sure that happens during the shipping.
Jenny N - 01/10/2022This hitch is of excellent quality, it fit perfectly on our 2019 Honda Odyssey, and it looks very nice on the car. Through the years I've installed many trailer hitches on various vehicles, and this was by far one of the easier installations. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Everything we needed was provided with the hitch. We didn't even need to jack up the car, there was plenty of room to work. We chose not to unfasten the exhaust pipe at the rear of the car as was recommended; we just worked around it and tightened the bolts on that side with a wrench rather than with a socket. The installation took a little longer than the 30 minutes they said it would; but I like to take my time as I work to be sure I'm getting everything right. I highly recommend this hitch.
Wes - 05/28/2022Product arrived within 4 days after ordering late Friday afternoon during Quarantine season. Packaged well and no damage to the paint was found on the hitch. I installed the receiver hitch on my 2019 Honda Odyssey with my 14 year old son without issues. I bought the hitch specifically to put on a 2 bike rack. The etrailer video installation instructions available on onlinefor this exact hitch for the 2019 Odyssey is extremely helpful and spot on. Very happy overall with the experience and product.
Regan - 05/22/2021Overall, perfect hitch. Installed onto a 2020 Honda Odyssey. Looks amazing and flush. For those installing in same vehicle take note that the exhaust was blocking access to the bolts and required that I remove the hanger from the rubber brace. In addition to this, I still did not have full access and so had to lift the car, removing the center exhaust hanger by about 75% (did completely remove). This then allowed me to
move the exhaust with ease and with no tension to the rest of exhaust line and gain full clearance to tighten down the bolts. Don’t forget that you will need a torque wrench as there are two different torque settings for the bolts.
With all that said, I will say that they can do much better with packaging. The hitch arrived in a box with no padding whatsoever and one end had torn the end of the box to pieces leaving some visible damage on the hitch itself. It’s simply too heavy to not have each end properly wrapped and protected.
Jenny N - 04/04/2022Directions and videos were spot on with what had to be removed. Installation was very easy and straight forward. I installed the hitch alone in my driveway in maybe 15min. Looks great, looks well put together and sturdy, only negative comment I have about it all is the bolt holes on the hitch are slotted (which I assume would be to give you some play as far as lining it up on the vehicle) but the hitch fits fairly tightly on the outer edge of the slots so there is no room left to center the hitch. It is where it is! Overall not a big deal by any means!

Exactly what we needed for our Honda Odyssey. Watched video for install and made it fast and efficient knowing exactly what and where to cut. Hitch is often used for bike racks and towing small trailers. Was able to tow a 2000lb sailboat 300 miles with no issues.
It installed in 20 minutes looks like original Honda equipment ordering was very easy by car specific and delivery was on time we are very happy

Very happy with hitch and easy install on our 2019 honda odyssey. I'm a little spoiled in that I have a lift, but even installing it on the ground is an easy task. The quality of the product is definitely top notch with no problems with fastener alignment. The finish so far is holding up very well, and is of a tougher grade than regular paint on other brands which doesn't hold up very well. Inconspicuous, well no, but haven't seen one that isn't. Besides, if you are driving a mini van, you aren't worried about looking sexy. I would definitely recommend this product. One other note is the 2 inch box instead of 1 1/2 inch, surely many folks will be using a hitch haul or bike carrier, and the 2 inch is much more stable. Don't let anyone tell you just to use an adapter if you install a 1 1/2 inch box hitch.

Quality product and hardware. It took me a lot longer to install for a couple reasons. One, it's very heavy (obviously) and hard to manipulate. I ended up strapping it to my jack and raising it into place. Also, the muffler is in the way for properly torqueing the passenger side bolts. Just slip the rearmost exhaust hanger off and move the tailpipe to the side enough to fit your socket/extension onto the bolts. On the drivers side, the panel covering the bolts needs to be modified by slicing off about 3/8" where it sits next to the hitch bracket. Easily done with a utility knife. The instructions don't tell you which way the convex bolts should face. I assume they face with the serrated sides up (toward the car). It makes sense this way, but again, not indicated. Otherwise the installation was really straightforward.
Hitch was well packaged, arrived with no visible damage, but didn't fit. Rather frustrating to lower the exhaust and get one side up, only to undo everything when I realized that the holes didn't line up. Did not come with a drawing or dimensions to confirm intended fit. Got it on after bending out the driver's side flange about 1/2" -- no easy task.

The hitch was easy to install. Directions were clear. I have been towing trailers and campers for over a year with no issues. Once installed, you just assume it's there and will work fine. It is and it does. Have different brand hitch on different vehicle. That one is showing signs of a lot of rust. This one still looks nearly brand new.

Hitch arrived quickly. The installation videos showed exactly how to do it. It installed relatively easy. Admittedly, when they have a lift, all the proper tools, and experience doing it many time it makes it a whole lot easier. But even for me doing it for my first time I was able to take care of it without any major problems.
