Rugged, Matte Black Finish

The sturdy steel construction is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

Chevrolet Traverse

2012 Chevy Traverse. quality hitch and the trim door fit back on the truck with a perfect fit after the install.

by:
Chevrolet Traverse

2011 Chevy Traverse LT1Installation was easy. However, the bolt head was too large for the access holes. Most of the time for installation was used filing the access holes to get the bolts through the frame. I was able to reinstall bumper fascia after installation.Installation took about 45 minutes.

by:

Took a little longer than 30 minutes to install, but only because I tried to not disconnect the mufflers from the frame. Fishing the back bolts through the bumper was kind of weird, but was not hard at all.

  • Higher Capacity Trailer Hitch for 2011 GMC Acadia
The etrailer Class III hitch part # e98863 is a really great option for your 2011 GMC Acadia. It has the higher tongue weight capacity of 600 lbs and 6,000 lb trailer towing capacity when used with a weight distribution system and 500 lbs and 5,000 lb without wd. I attached an install video for this for you to check out too.

I checked your order notes and it looks like you went with the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58000 for the 7-way part # 118271 which will work great with the etrailer.com hitch part # e98863 you have installed on your 2015 Chevy Traverse. I attached a link to an install video for the mounting bracket for you to check out when it's time to install everything as well.

  • Can the Rear Fascia Door Be Re-Installed On a 2016 GMC Acadia with etrailer Hitch
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98863 is what I recommend for a 2016 GMC Acadia as it will allow you to re-install the rear fascia door. The rear fascia door is the plastic cutout panel in the rear bumper that gets removed to show access to the hitch. There are some hitches that once installed do not allow you to reinstall this to cover the hitch but the above does so that is what I recommend.

  • Does Wiring Connector Exist on 2017 Chevy Traverse Even Without Tow Package
Yes, the connector to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56245 will still be located on your 2017 Chevy Traverse even if you don't have the factory tow package. Basically if you had the factory tow package it would already have that connector PLUS it would already have all of the fuses and relays needed to provide power to your trailer light functions. In addition to the T-Connector I also recommend using mounting brackets # 18144 and # 18140 to keep the 4-Way next...

  • Ease of Installation for the etrailer e98863 Hitch on a 2008 Buick Enclave
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver item # e98863, for a 2008 Buick Enclave, has a three out of ten on our difficulty to install scale. It looks like a pretty simple installation there's no cutting or trimming required. You will have to temporarily detach one of the muffler braces so I recommend having your Enclave sitting for awhile where you are going to install the hitch so the muffler and surrounding area isn't hot. I have linked the instructions and also a couple of install video's...

  • Recommended Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse
I would be happy to help you set your 2011 Chevrolet Traverse up for towing. You are going to need a hitch receiver, a couple of wiring harnesses, a brake controller, and a ball mount. Let's start with your hitch receiver I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver item # e98863. This is a custom fit hitch that bolts directly to your Traverse with included hardware. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and maximum tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs. I have linked an installation...

  • Can the Fascia Cover Be Re-installed on a 2013 Chevy Traverse When Not Using the Hitch?
Yes, it can! For your 2013 Chevrolet Traverse LT, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e98863. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Chevy with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. Once installed it can be completely concealed by the rear fascia cover. I have linked an installation video below to help you get this hitch set up. If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56245 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.

  • Will Yakima Skybox NX 16 Clear the Antenna On 2010 GMC Acadia?
The Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Roof Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black Carbonite # Y95AV requires a hatch clearance of at least 47" in order to open the trunk; hatch clearance is the distance from the center of the front crossbar to the line where the roof meets the trunk. We can apply this to your antenna clearance; if you have at least 47" from the center of the front crossbar to the antenna then it will for sure clear the antenna, otherwise it may interfere. There likely won't be a shorter cargo...

To replace the hardware for a 2012 Chevy Traverse hitch you can use the part # RHK on our site and just input your hitch info so we know what parts you need. • Parts Needed to Tow Trailer with 2015 Buick Enclave
We do have all of the parts you're going to need, so never fear! For a hitch I recommend using the etrailer # e98863, which has a nice, durable powder coating that will hold up to the rigors of towing. This is a custom fit hitch so there's no need for drilling to install. You'll also need a wiring harness, so I recommend using the Tekonsha # 118271, which will give you the 7 way plug you need to tow your trailer with brakes. For a brake controller I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy...

  • Recommended 7-Way Wiring Harness for a 2011 Buick Enclave
Yes, there is. You will need two separate wiring harness though since your 2011 Enclave does not have the towing package. The first one is the Curt Wiring Harness item # C56027. This harness is custom fit and plugs into existing wiring which is located either behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights or behind the rear bumper. • Trailer Hitch That Fits A 2022 GMC Acadia Denali
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98863 you referenced, does not appear to be a fit for your 2022 GMC Acadia Denali, unfortunately. However, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 76023 does fit your 2022 GMC Acadia, and has a maximum towing capacity of 4,500-lbs, and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 675-lbs. You're going to need to check your owner's manual first for your vehicle's maximum towing capacity, and compare the two capacitates between the hitch and the vehicle and use the lowest rating.

It has a tongue weight rating of 500 lbs. increasing to 600 lbs. when using a WDS. But always refer to your vehicle specific owners manual for the vehicles max specs for towing. That's ludicrous, you can absolutely install a trailer hitch on a 2010 GMC Acadia without damaging the frame. The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98863 is what I recommend, it offers a bolt-on fit without any drilling or welding. It's covered under a lifetime warranty as well. The only significant difference between the Draw-Tite # 75528 and the Curt # 13424 is the capacity. Since both of these far exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle that really doesn't make a difference. If I were to recommend a hitch for your 2017 Chevy Traverse it actually wouldn't be either of these. Instead, I would choose the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98863. You could use the Draw-Tite # 75528, but we've found that our powder coating is a bit thicker than the Draw-Tite, which helps protect the hitch from rust and chips in the paint; this means a longer lasting hitch over time.
