The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Today we're taking a look at the CE Smith Trailer Either Hub Assembly. This trailer hub assembly fits either axles. It includes bearings, races, grease seal, grease cap, lug nuts and cotter pin.This is a pre-greased either hub, it's easy to install, there's no need to pack bearings. It's lubricated with a heavy duty grease that designed for marine applications. The units made from a study iron construction, features zinc plating on the lug nuts, the cotter pin and the grease cap to help limit corrosion. The product's made in the U.S.A.Its designed for 6000 pound axles with number 42 spindles.
Fits wheel sizes 14 and half inches to 17 inches, bolt pattern is six on five and a half inches. The grease cap flange diameter is 2.44 inches and the hub flange diameter is seven and one quarter inches. The single unit has a weight capacity of 3000 pounds.Again, like I said, the bearings, races and the seals, that's all included, its already pre-installed. Studs are already pressed into the hub as well. The inner bearing is a 25580 bearing with a 1.75 inch inner diameter.
Outer bearing is a 15123 with a 1.25 inch inner diameter. When it comes to the races, the inner race is a 25520. Outer race is 15245 and the grease seal is GS2250DL, gives it an inner diameter of 2.25 inches and an outer diameter of 3.376 inches.
