Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Dexter 12-1/4 inch e-coat, oil bath hub and rotor assembly, with the eight on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern for 7,000 pound axles. Now, this hub and rotor assembly will work with 7,000 pound Dexter disc brakes. It is a cast iron construction, so provides strength and durability. And it does use an e-coat finish to protect against any corrosion and wear. Does use a machine process to minimize run out and warping. Keeps the contaminants from getting in between the rotor and the hub.Now this is a vented design.
You can see here, this'll help regulate the temperature to prevent overheating of the rotor. This part is made in the USA. Now it does include everything shown here on the table, the hub and rotor with the 9/16 diameter wheel studs, both the inner and outer bearings. Now the bearing races are included, they are pre installed in the hub. The oil seal, the oil cap, and the lug nuts.Again, this is designed to fit a 7,000 pound axle.
The wheel size that'll work on this is 16 inch, 16-1/2 inch, and 17 inch diameter wheels. The bolt pattern is an eight on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. Wheel bolts are 9/16 diameter. The rotor diameter measured from edge to edge is 12-1/4 inches. And the weight capacity on this one hub is 3,500 pounds.
So when this is used with one on the other side of the axle, it'll meet your 7,000 pound axle capacity. Now the bearings that they include, the inner bearing, which is larger is part number 25580, has a 1.75 inch inner diameter. The outer bearing, which is the smaller of the two, is part number 14125A, has a 1.25 inch inner diameter. Bearing races we mentioned are pre installed in the hub. The oil seal they include is part number 10-63, has an inner diameter of 2.25 inches, outside diameter 3.376 inches. The oil bath center cap, with the O-ring and the plug are all included.
That's part number RG04-230. And then eight of the 9/16 lug nuts, part number 6-53.But that should do it for the review on the Dexter 12-1/4 inch e-coat, oil bath, hub and rotor assembly, with the eight on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern, for 7,000 pound axles.
