E-Z Lube and Easy Grease-Compatible Hub for Simple Lubrication

The grease cap on this hub is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I like the fact I can purchase all the components as one unit. The bearings and hubs come with grease, which is awesome, cuts down on install time, and no mess.

by:

Great easy people to help answer questions, resolve issues and place orders quickly. They even sped up my shipment when it was recognized I had made a mistake when ordering.

by:

Great Experience! They had the hubs I needed in stock at a great price. I used the online chat feature to confirm I was ordering the right hubs for my axle. Shipping was quick and the hubs arrived in great condition. They were pre-greased and they fit perfectly. My pontoon trailer is back on the road again!

by:

Don't rebuild it yourself, buy this kit. Everything is there and takes the guess work out. My trailer is still riding on these hubs today.

These hubs were great. I test them on every trip and they never overheat.

by:

Great value, pre-assembled and pre-greased to cut down on install time! Can’t beat it for the price!! I’d recommend also ordering a replacement spindle nut retainer washer for your EZ Lube axle as it’s cheap insurance vs re using the old one.

by:

Exactly what I needed, everything went on smoothly and as it should. Arrived well packaged and in good condition! Thanks etrailer!

by:

Super fast delivery and seems like top quality material.

by:

Easy install and great experience.

by:

Ordered 4 bearing kits for boat trailer. Found out I had to order separate 1.24 id seals to make them work on my trailer axles. They need to make these kits with 1.24 seal. Well when they arrived I got 2 kits that had the 1.24 seals I needed and wrong bearings. I called and now I am being sent the right bearing for 2 axles. Bad order pulling. Boat parked in driveway and grand kids upset cause we can't go boating.

by:

Easy to install and trailer hubsfit we ll.

by:

Great service and great communications. Product was shipped promptly and accurately.

by:

The seals and hubs were exactly what I needed to repair my trailer wheels. The order was correct, and the shipment was on time. Thanks for the great service.

by:

Trailer idler hub, 5 bolt, pre-greased for 1in diameter axle. Shipped quickly. Received on time. Installed properly. Would buy from this vendor again.

by:

The only reason I did not give the product a 5 star is, they could have done a little better with packaging. The hubs were shipped free to move around the box. Other items were damaged.
The kit was installed yesterday, all items fit correctly and I am very happy with the results.

by:

Great product, fast shipping. The website was very helpful on figuring out the correct replacement parts.

by:

This is a very high quality part. I had no problem with the installation.

by:

Just what I needed, and fast delivery. Thanks etrailer!

by:

It appears to be an of lesser quality than the OEM. I wound up having to use my old caps

  • How to Determine Correct Hub For Karavan PWC Trailer
You'll have to find the inner and outer bearing numbers as I could not find any hub matching the one you mentioned, and we don't have any way of knowing what hub is on your trailer. To do so you will need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper and measure your spindle where the bearings ride,...

  • Recommended 5.70-8 Tire and Wheel with Compatible Hub for Axle
We do have some options for you to add a 5.7-8 size tire and a hub to your trailer. For a wheel/tire combination I recommend going with the Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with Wheel # AM30155. This has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and comes with a load range of D (1,075 lbs at 100 psi). Since 8" wheels are typically installed on 2,000 lb axles you would need the hub assembly # AKIHUB-545-2-EZ-1K if you have L44643 bearings or assembly # AKIHUB-545-2-EZ-2K for L44649 bearings. • How To Find Correct Replacement Bearings and Hub for 5 x 8 Utility Trailer
In order to find the correct replacement hub we first need to identify the bearings. I have a few options for you to help with identifying the bearings on your trailer. The first and easiest method would be to crawl under the trailer and look for the axle tag on the beam. This should give an axle capacity which we can then use to find the bearings based off industry standards. For example, a 2,000 lb axle uses L44649 and L44649 bearings like what comes with the Easy Grease Trailer Idler...

We can definitely get you the parts needed to get your Lowes Trailer up and running, but there are a few things you will need to do to confirm the following parts will fit. • Timbren Axle-Less System vs. Torsion Axles for a Sail Boat Trailer
I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System # ASR2000S01 over a torsion axle for your trailer for a few reasons. First, the Timbren System increases ground clearance without increasing your trailer height. The Timbren System is also easier to replace as you can replace one spring at a time. They also operate independently of one another to minimize bounce for a smoother ride compared to the torsion axle system. An E-Z lube spindle is included with the system, but a Trailer Hub...
