You'll appreciate the smooth operation and adjustability for everyday use just as much as you'll enjoy the special features designed for extreme use. From jobsites to campsites, the removable Ark Extreme trailer tongue jack will work for you.

Easily Move Your Trailer Over Any Terrain

Ark Jack All Terrain

Dual steel wheels with rubber tires provide increased surface area for smooth, steady travel. The rubber tires can cruise over rocks without breaking or getting flat spots, and the tread helps prevent sliding in wet conditions. The overall strength and durability of these wheels also keep them from stalling in sand or light mud.

Ark Jack Dual Wheels

Sealed bearings act as bushings to hold the wheels in line on the cross shaft. This is an improvement over traditional plastic jack wheels, which often have just a bolt going through them, providing very little stability and causing the wheels to wobble, lock up, and drag over time.

The heavy-duty, durable design of this jack lets you take your trailer off-road, over rough terrain, and through various climates. The sturdy steel, square body provides increased side-load capacity and superior strength, and limits play between the tubes. And the corrosion- and rust-resistant zinc finish offers a 600-hour salt spray rating to withstand wet or rainy conditions. The built-in grease zerk lets you lubricate the internal screw when necessary for continued smooth operation over time.

Safe, Easy, Out-of-the-Way Positioning for Travel

A sturdy magnet is built into the jack's easy-to-grip crank handle for secure attachment of the jack crank. The handle detaches easily to store away and prevent hang-ups while traveling, yet it's strong enough to stay put while you're cranking the jack up and down.

The yoke latch at the bottom of the jack offers 5 positions to hold the wheels in place. This allows you to tailor the configuration of the stowed jack to suit your needs. So if you have anything mounted on your trailer tongue that the wheels might hit if they're positioned upright, you can lock them in place facing down instead. If you're off-roading and traveling through rough terrain where you might have issues with ground clearance, just lock them upright. This locking feature also keeps the wheels from swinging around while you drive, which will help to ensure that the bearings don't wear out prematurely.

Fast, Easy Setup with Minimal Cranking

Once you've arrived at your destination, setting up is a breeze thanks to the quick-release jack tube on the Ark Extreme jack. Just tug the spring-loaded handle to quickly drop the jack tube to your desired height. This handle allows you to set the jack in 1 of 4 positions. Once you have it as close to the ground as it will go, just rotate the crank handle on the front of the jack to fine-tune the height.

Having the ability to drop the jack tube in this manner means that you won't need a drop leg or space fillers like blocks or bricks. And far less cranking is needed to get the jack into position, which will you save you both time and effort.

When you're ready to pack up and hit the road again, hitch the trailer back up to your vehicle, retract the jack's inner tube using the crank, and reposition the jack back alongside your trailer tongue.

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.

Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.

It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.

Trailer and Camper Jack Lift

Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

Video Transcript for Review of Ark Trailer Jack - Removable Xtreme Off-Road Swing-Up Trailer Jack - ARK47FR

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Ark Removable Extreme Off-Road Swing-Up Trailer Jack. This is a very rugged jack that is equipped to handle just about anything, from moving your boat trailers to accompanying you on your off-road adventures. It does have a sturdy steel construction, so it is gonna be very durable and built to last. It is designed in Australia, so it's designed to stand up to the rigors of the Outback so you can trust it is going to work in just about any environment that you put it in. It's got a static load capacity of 1,650 pounds and a dynamic load capacity of 1,100 pounds.

It is a bolt on installation. They do include the hardware that you're gonna need to bolt this onto trailer tongue from three inches to six inches tall. It's got this quick release pin that will allow you to quickly adjust the trailer jack position so you can rotate it up. Now obviously once you have it bolted on, rotating that, you're gonna be rotating the jack instead of the bracket itself. But that will allow you to stow the jack up along the trailer tongue for travel.

And then you can move it back down to the upright position for use. You can also completely remove it. Take the of your trailer, so you can store it away in a truck or trailer cab, something along those lines, to protect it from the weather and theft. And you can also replace this pin with a locking pin. That is sold separately, so that you can add a little bit of extra safety to it.

This is a five-eighths inch diameter a pin. It's about three and five-eighths of an inch long. So if that helps you find the locking pin that would replace this. And just to give it a little extra security because it can be removed. You wouldn't want someone to come along, take off with your jack.

This does have a thick walled square tubing that is going to be precision machine to limit your play in between the inner and outer tubes. Of course, we do have this black powder coat finish to help resist rust and corrosion. And our dual steel wheels here, do have an off-road rubber tire that's gonna provide increased traction and maneuverability. So much better than most the wheels on trailer jacks, especially the ones that come with your trailer, just the hard plastic. These are gonna allow you to run through mud or over sharp rocks without getting stuck or damaged. And these are eight inches in diameter and they're two inches wide. They do lock into place when stowed to provide clearance and to prevent damage during travel. We do have our easy grip handle here that's going to allow us to drop the entire jack tube down for a quick adjustment. So we don't have to have any blocks or drop legs. This does have the four height adjustment settings along here, so that we can very quickly and easily position it where we need to. It's gonna help reduce our cranking time and effort. So when we have it completely retracted, I can pull this out far enough without having it installed, give you that view of that retracted height. As you can see, those are some very strong springs there keeping that in place. And when we have it fully retracted like this, our bracket height is gonna be about 12 inches. Our tube adjustment with those four height settings it's gonna be a little over seven and a half inches of adjustment. And then when we start cranking, our usable lift or the screw travel, is gonna be about 10 inches. So our total travel comes out to about 17 and 11 sixteenths. So from our 12 inch retracted height we're gonna have an extended bracket height of 29 and about five eighths of an inch. Keep in mind, you're only gonna be able to be up 23 and half inches if you're moving the trailer. So that overall 29 and five eighths is just when it's gonna be sitting in place. The side wind handle crank here, is gonna be very easy to remove for storage. It is magnetized so that we can make sure that it's gonna stay in place while we're using it. But then when we're ready to take it off, you just pop it off and store it separately nearby to make sure that it fits in the compartment that we want it to and that sort of thing. So overall, a really nice option here. Very rugged jack. I think it's gonna hold up in just about any environment that you take it in. Some of our customers have talked about how they've used it and it's definitely been a major upgrade over the jack that came with their trailer. And having that ability to remove it, take it off, if you get in a situation where it's binding or causing you not to be able to maneuver properly, you can easily take it off and store it away, make sure that's gonna be safe. So, a really nice option here. I do wanna point out here at the top, we do have our grease zerk so that we can keep everything well lubricated. So it is gonna be very easy to maintain. If you we're to take it into salt water, I do recommend, you know hosing it off with some fresh water and then drying it off to help prevent rust. But overall, just a really rugged jack that's gonna help as you're taking your trailer in all sorts of environments. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

I think the ARK trailer jack is great, bullet-proof product, but the documentation stinks. Don't try to put the wheels and bearing and washers together without some kind of sticky grease handy. Figuring out the installation schematics was an adventure. When using the drop handle, watch out for pinched fingers. In fact, wear gloves when operating.

by:

As advertised.
Heavy duty.
It would
be nice if the supplied bolts were long enough to mount the plate that attaches to the trailer.
So, off to Ace Hardware in the morning.
As always, the Folks at E Trailer are the best.
Extraordinary customer service and knowledgeable.

I always use the lawn mower to put the trailer back yard behind the shed. The couple times a year the lawn mower goes to the shop, this let me move it fairly easy through the gravel!

by:

High quality item - is perfect for our trailer

by:

Dual wheels roll easily, even on a gravelly surface. Wide range of lift heights adjusts to various terrains. Download the installation instructions to sort out the metric manufacturing dimensions versus inch measurements of your trailer frame. Worked great on the 2.5" wide, 4" high frame of my US made, bolt together, aluminum frame trailer kit. Worth every penny.

by:

this is my 2nd XO jack that has failed on me. The 2 pins that prevent the jack from rotating have small spot welds that broke. This failure would allow the jack to collapse. Why they do not have proper full welds is unclear to me given the cost of this product. They offered to RMA it but at my expense to ship back to them which was far more expensive than having a local welder fix it.

by:

I now own 3 of these in different sizes. I started with a 500 series on my utility trailer but needed something a little beefier to hold up under weight in the trailer when I drag it through the lawn, which is why I got the 750. I had a 350 on my 16' boat trailer but now swapped it out with a 500 that was on my utility trailer. All are made tough, well designed and can take punishment. I wouldn't go with anything different at this point. Show me a trailer jack that's better than this!

by:

Just what I was looking for. A great heavy duty jack with wheels that roll and swivel like butter. My dual Sea-Doo trailer is heavy with both big skis on it. The Xtreme jack with dual ball bearing wheels and slick swiveling caster are what I purchased the unit for. They make it a whole lot easier pushing the trailer in and out of the shop. Remember, you get what you pay for. This trailer jack will not disappoint.

by:

This trailer jack is truly "extreme". I was looking for an over-built one that I could count on to take some abuse. This one is perfect. The pins have extra strong springs. The back plate is extra thick. Even though I didn't need to use them, the bolts and brackets it came with are extra beefy. The wheels are extra strong. Basically everything about this jack is completely [awesome]!

My favorite feature is the removable magnetic crank handle. It clicks into place with authority and stows in my tongue box. Also, it looks great too. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat...only thing I'd do different is get it sooner. I put up with the wimpy OEM trailer jack far too long.

by:

I have a fifth wheel that also pulls the boat. This ratcheting Jack allows me to get the boat right up to the fifth wheel hitch with little effort. This jack has good traction on pavement but struggles a bit in grass. Still so worth it!

by:

I installed this product but I haven’t had a chance to actually try it out. I don’t want to give this a poor review, but there were three issues so far. First the mounting screws were too short for my trailer tongue. My trailer tongue is 3” wide and 4” tall. The screws were just a little longer than 3”. I had to buy 4" screws. Second, the instructions were very confusing as to how to orient the mounting plate on the trailer tongue. The video on your website shows one orientation, and the written instructions included with the product shows another. I followed the printed one. This worked fine. And lastly, I noticed that if the jack is in its lowest position, the wheel cannot swivel without hitting the blue knob on the upper ratchet control. I did not force it and nothing bad happened, but it would break this knob off if I tried to swivel the wheel with the jack in its lowest position while moving my boat.

by:

I installed my Ark750 on my small off-road camper trailer about a year ago. I was needing a trailer jack that did more than just help me more my trailer around my garage and on easy flat terrain. Found myself is a situation where heavy truck sunk in some soft/wet soil. Disconnected my trailer, got my truck out and was able to winch out my trailer with my truck with the trailer jack down. There is no way my stock trailer jack could have handled this job!

by:

Do not use the Ark 500 trailer jack on boat trailers that are exposed to salt water!
The product info says that jack has been tested for 600 hours of salt spray, well it didn't work out that way for me.
I purchased this jack ~ 18 months ago, so it is out of the 1 year warranty period, to my dismay. This is a very expensive trailer jack, and I was hoping it would last longer.
I thoroughly rinse my boat and trailer in fresh water after each outing. I kept grease topped up in the fitting. Now the jack is getting very hard to crank, gears are binding, and rust is running down the the jack extension leg.
I am going to have to replace the Ark 500 jack with another product, as the day is coming where this jack will not crank any more.
I am very disappointed at the short life of this product, and the short warranty period.

by:

I haven't even mounted the trailer jack yet but the attention to detail, the component quality, the plethora of features--all confidence building points. My driveway is gravel and rock ballast so I am VERY confident this product is the last of its kind I will have to buy! The Aussies build some great kit!

by:

The XO trailer jack is awesome! Wish I had found it before I injured my back trying to disconnect & “right” the original jack on my micro camper on a very uneven, rough site. The adjustability of the jack is unparalleled to any I have used. The dual wheels allowed me to roll my camper out of the garage, onto a gravel driveway with ease (and I am a “senior” female! I have since gotten a new camper and wish I had the XO on it!

by:

This is the 3rd one I purchased. The company still included bolts that are too short. All 3 trailers I have put the on take 4.5” bolts so I had to go buy new bolts. Trailers must be different where these are mfg. This new model has changed how you rotate the wheels up. I am not sure if I prefer the old release or the new one but the new release makes the unit easier to install.

by:

I needed a rugged off road jack. Our factory jack didn't last one season on our 2021 Intech Flyer Chase. After fabbing up a new, heavier duty jack plate, the XO750 black edition complimented our overlanding trailer nicely!

by:

This trailer jack travels very well. It pivots easily and the dual wheels lend stability and ease of maneuvering. Mine arrived intact with all assembly parts. The hex bolts unfortunately for my installation were too short, as other reviews have noted. A trip to the local hardware store and another $15 investment in 4 metric bolts 3/4" longer than those included completed the installation. Installed on a 17' galvanized boat trailer.

by:

Upgraded the swing-up jack on my Tribe Trailer Basecamp. Installation required rotating the Xtreme mounting plate 90 degrees and drilling two new mounting holes on the Tribe Trailer bracket. The Xtreme is a big upgrade in quality to the stock Basecamp swing-up jack. Most important the trailer is now very easy to move across slightly uneven gravel / dirt terrane. Pleased with the purchase.

by:

I have had the Ark Extreme Off-Road Ratcheting Trailer Jack for 2 years and love it! It stows just like a normal trailer jack, but the ratcheting allows me to move it inside my garage, both for tighter storage and to align it to my truck for trailering out of the garage. I'm 79 years old and have no trouble moving a 4,000+ boat and trailer. I fish with a bass club, so it gets lots of use, so I can say it is both easy to use and built to last. One of my best purchases! I highly recommend it.

by:

This is a very well designed trailer jack. I have a 21ft yamaha boat and a factory height 2015 gmc sierra. Using the OEM shorelander trailer jack required the use of a 4 inch block of wood to hitch the trailer. I needed extra height and a much heavier weight capacity over what came with my boat trailer originally. This jack solved both of those issues. I now have a few extra inches of height left in the jack when I hitch up. The extra lift also comes in handy when I want to get the bow up to drain the boat. The magnetic jack handle is genius. I also love how the spring loaded stowing handle folds out of the way and allows me to stow the jack in multiple positions. My tongue weight was 780lbs and the oem jack struggled big time and just wasn't safe with that load. This jack has no issue easily lifting that. I've since moved the boat back on the trailer and lightened the tongue weight to 480lbs to keep the truck suspension happy. If you have a newer yamaha boat with a factory shorelander trailer, do yourself a favor and get one of these trailer jacks. They are pricey but absolutely worth the money. Rest assured you are getting what you are paying for with this trailer jack.

by:

The package came destroyed, missing the crank handle. I contacted etrailer for a replacement, got the run-around, sent them pictures, continued to get the run around, after a year, I am still using a crescent wrench to lift my trailer. I had to take it apart to re-drill a hole so things lined up better.

by:

Moving my 27 foot boat trailer had become nearly impossible. It is on grass and dirt squeezed between the house and a fence. The ratcheting trailer jack grips about 98% of the surfaces I have reducing my extreme efforts to almost nothing. Little effort is required to move the empty trailer but the lever only moves the trailer a few inches for each thrust. I'll take slow over pain anytime. My extreme struggles without the ratcheting jack were no faster anyway.

With the 4000 boat on the tandem trailer, the ratchet worked very well too. I was looking for something to act as a lever. This thing is perfect.
