The yoke latch at the bottom of the jack offers 5 positions to hold the wheels in place. This allows you to tailor the configuration of the stowed jack to suit your needs. So if you have anything mounted on your trailer tongue that the wheels might hit if they're positioned upright, you can lock them in place facing down instead. If you're off-roading and traveling through rough terrain where you might have issues with ground clearance, just lock them upright. This locking feature also keeps the wheels from swinging around while you drive, which will help to ensure that the bearings don't wear out prematurely.


Fast, Easy Setup with Minimal Cranking

Once you've arrived at your destination, setting up is a breeze thanks to the quick-release jack tube on the Ark Extreme jack. Just tug the spring-loaded handle to quickly drop the jack tube to your desired height. This handle allows you to set the jack in 1 of 4 positions. Once you have it as close to the ground as it will go, just rotate the crank handle on the front of the jack to fine-tune the height.


Having the ability to drop the jack tube in this manner means that you won't need a drop leg or space fillers like blocks or bricks. And far less cranking is needed to get the jack into position, which will you save you both time and effort.


When you're ready to pack up and hit the road again, hitch the trailer back up to your vehicle, retract the jack's inner tube using the crank, and reposition the jack back alongside your trailer tongue.


How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack lifts your trailer high enough at the tongue to allow you to couple it with your vehicle. Usually, your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your gross trailer weight (GTW). For example, a 10,000-lb trailer has a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. To raise the tongue of a trailer this size, you'd need a jack that can handle a static load of no less than 1,500 lbs. And, yes, it's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Arc Extreme Sidewind off-Road Jack. This Jack is going to support lift and lower your boat or recreational trailer. And this is going to bolt around your trailer's tongue with the included mounting hardware that you see here. As you see, I do have it kind of loosely assembled there.

And lemme go ahead and give you some information about this jack on your screen. This is gonna work with your two inch to six inch tall jacks and this has a static load capacity of 1100 pounds and a total lift of 18 and three eights inches and a screw travel of 10 and three quarters inches and a drop leg travel of seven and a half inches. Now there are other measurements available such as the bracket height. You can find all that information on this product page. So this will stow safely and easily out of the way.

And the, what we have here is a handle here is an oversized handle that's going to let you swing this jack up parallel to the tongue. Now obviously I don't have this mounted to the trailer so that's gonna be very difficult for me to try to show you to demonstrate that for you. But this is gonna be the handle that you're going to use to swivel this out of the way. And once you have this mounted, it's gonna be very easy to use and this is going to really rise and lower with hardly any issue whatsoever. It's a very smooth operation as you can see.

And then the wheel is going to lock into place when you lower this. So you can see that this is going to turn with no issue whatsoever. Lemme get that wedge back into place there. And then when you lower this, we have this bolt here, peg, whichever, whatever you wanna call it, that's gonna lock back into the holes here. We got a set of holes here depending on your orientation.

And so once that's locked in you're not gonna have to worry about that, about these wheels moving around when you have this in the stowed position. So that's a nice additional feature that we have here. The handle is removable, it's magnetic as you can see, so this can easily be removed and put in like your vehicle or your trailer locked up. So someone can't come by and easily adjust this. We do have a smaller U-bolt handle right here that's going to let you position the drop leg quickly and easily. Gonna be able to secure it in one of four positions. That's gonna help reduce the time and effort that you spend cranking this. The treaded tires that you see here are going to be able to take you places that regular plastic caster wheels can't. You're gonna have more traction here and agility in off-road conditions. These are flat free rubber tires so they'll never have to be inflated. And the dual steel wheels here are going to give you excellent stability. The diameter of these wheels is eight inches, the width is two inches, so this won't shake or rattle during operation. The precision, the machine tubing is going to limit chatter and this is going to do a great job of resisting rust and corrosion with the black finish that this features, it has a 600 hour salt spray rating, so this should last you many years to come. It's of a durable steel construction. There's a a really good weight to it. So I really think it's going to be very durable. I think it's gonna hold up really well for you. And again, this is designed for extreme off road conditions, so it's gonna take you through rough terrain, mud, things like that. So that's what this has been designed for. Just what I was looking for. A great heavy duty jack with wheels that roll and swivel like butter. My dual Sea-Doo trailer is heavy with both big skis on it. The Xtreme jack with dual ball bearing wheels and slick swiveling caster are what I purchased the unit for. They make it a whole lot easier pushing the trailer in and out of the shop. Remember, you get what you pay for. This trailer jack will not disappoint.

Great product however there are things that need to be considered before purchasing.

After reading the other comments from those who bought this jack prior to making the purchase, I had an understanding that there may be some concerns that may affect your installation with your set up.

Make no mistake that this off road jack is heavy in weight due to its quality and how rugged it is in appearance.

The jack also included an instruction booklet (which was not detailed nor elaborate), the lug screws and nuts, and it's "Tube Mount Bracket" which is the key item for the installation.

The screws/bolts that were provided did not work in my installation due to that the Ark jack hardware is meant for a slimmer Installation profile like for a 2" x 2" inch frame (Refer to both the comments on etrailer and on the Ark industries websites).

I took my tube mount bracket to a local machine shop where they had to weld on pieces of metal that will contour/cover the frame application which was 3" inches by 3" inches in size. Ark does not sell nor they could not help me with this circumstance after contacting them via email.

The machine shop technician centered the welds so that the bracket can fit snug and secured on the frame for best installation. I also sprayed Rustoleum on the welded pieces for preventing any rust.

I had to purchase 4 new screws and locking nuts (marine grade) which was not cheap at all. I had to purchase the 3" 1/4 length screws to make the installation work as best as possible.

I recommend also applying anti-galling/ anti-stripping compound. The majority of marine screws and nuts are known to strip or have "thread galling" take place otherwise I recommend spraying a lubricant on the threads and put them in a plastic bag for overnight saturation, then wipe them gently to allow some residue to remain.

After I installed the new screws and locking nuts, the installation was successful. The reason for this process is for any event that you would need to remove or move the bracket tube from the trailer's frame.

After I installed the bracket tube with its modified alteration, the installation was successful however keep in mind that any altering of the jack or parts; voids it's warranty.

I have been using the jack without any issues. I choose to remove the jack when traveling to have peace of mind because there may be moments that the bracket may strike or impact elements when traveling off-road or driving on a road where the path is declined or inclined while traveling (Like a steep hill).

I have the ease to push a 4'000 lbs compact camping trailer within the garage and it's great to position your camper where you want to place it whereas you would be unable to maneuver with a vehicle.

Also there have been occasions where I'm off the grid or at a campground where I unhook the camper and utilized the Ark jack to move the camper by hand in a spot where it could have been difficult to position with a vehicle.

By far the Ark jack is a good buy however there are some factors that you may need to take in consideration.

This thing is sturdy and would almost certainly solve my issue of getting my trailer into a tight spot and slight incline without a second set of hands, if only it was not so large. my trailer has a standard height of 16 inches from the bottom of the tongue, however this is about the absolute minimum height the ARK ratcheting jack is capable of. This results in no possibility to lower the tongue if needed for leveling. Because of the larger length, I cannot mount it without going out to the coupler or hitting box on my tongue.

If there were a version which had similar dimensions to a typical jack it would be perfect, but sadly I will need to keep searching for a solution. If you can fit this jack on your trailer and have the height, I would have full confidence in this jack. I am very impressed with the build quality.

Wow, this jack is the real deal! Love the flexibility of mounting the plate veritcal or horizontal. I chose horizontal to get more plate flat to the trailer frame. Added some 1/4" galv. plate on the back side of the frame to give the brake line clearance from being pinched. This jack is so worth it!!!

Installed this on our Happier Camper Traveler (~2000lbs dry weight, 220-250 lb tongue weight) to help maneuver into our tight camper parking area next to our home. Really well designed and high-quality build. Fits perfectly on the a frame. The ratcheting wheel offers a lot of leverage to move the camper around. The swinging mechanism is solidly built, inspires confidence (that it won't move around) when in the tucked away position for traveling and makes it even quicker than a standard trailer jack to hitch/unhitch to our tow vehicle. I do wish the tires had a bit more grip, but admittedly I use this in a non-recommended (by manufacturer) application, usually on crushed gravel rather than a firm surface. Still, the tire has much more grip/tread than a typical trailer jack wheel/caster that you'd add to an existing trailer jack.

This thing is HEAVY DUTY! I am replacing a single wheel jack on my big deck boat. I have never like the wheel it came with and rarely let the trailer sit on it alone, I use a jack under the frame for long storage. I am not using the mounting hardware because I want it custom and will use the original welded section along with a custom 8" x 1/4" steel plate on the trailer for a clean look. I am very excited the wheels are steel center because I had my doubts but pleasantly surprised.

Such a great purchase over the run of the mill two wheel jacks out there.

this is my 2nd XO jack that has failed on me. The 2 pins that prevent the jack from rotating have small spot welds that broke. This failure would allow the jack to collapse. Why they do not have proper full welds is unclear to me given the cost of this product. They offered to RMA it but at my expense to ship back to them which was far more expensive than having a local welder fix it.

This was a huge upgrade for my small camper trailer. I may have over-purchased the capability for the size/weight but I don't regret it. First, it makes it easy for me to move my trailer into and out of a tight storage space. More importantly, I can single-handedly turn my trailer on soft or sandy ground. It was easy to install and hasn't failed me after over an year of regular use in primitive campsites throughout South Eastern US. I'd buy again.

Thanks for reaching out. The Ark trailer jack is well made and we are very pleased with the product. We have had a few challenges in mounting it, however.

We have an InTech Luna camper and it has an all aluminum frame. We purchased the Luna the first year they were manufactured and the tongue is just 2 inches deep. (InTech has since beefed up the frame and tongue on their more recent models, but we have what we have!). The Ark Extreme Trailer Jack is designed for a deeper tongue so my husband has done two things:

First, he purchased a couple of appropriately sized aluminum square tubes that sit above and below our 2 in frame and provide "up and down" stability to the jack

Second, he inserted rubber sheets between the aluminum tongue and the steel jack to prevent corrosion between the metals.

The Luna is light enough to hand push around at home and at our campsites and the original low weight jack just wasn't working. This jack is sturdy and easy to maneuver and we are very pleased.

This Ark XO750 replaced an Ark XO500 which bent under the static load of snow that accumulated during the winter of 2022-23 in SW Montana. So far, the new XO750 has performed flawlessly. Although there was much less accumulated snow during the winter of 2023-24, I do not expect to see a repeat of the problem.

Replaced my stock jack after I, ahem, sorta ruined it. But, boy am I glad I got this one. So much sturdier and easier to use. It was an unfortunate-fortunate accident that ruined my stock jack. This one really does a great job and is just easier to raise and lower our overland trailer. At first I wasn’t sure I was going to like the removable (magnetic) cranking handle, but I actually like it more than a permanently affixed one. For one thing, it does make it a little harder for someone if they wanted to try and steal the trailer. Of course a lock helps with that as well, but it’s just one more deterrent.

Dual wheels roll easily, even on a gravelly surface. Wide range of lift heights adjusts to various terrains. Download the installation instructions to sort out the metric manufacturing dimensions versus inch measurements of your trailer frame. Worked great on the 2.5" wide, 4" high frame of my US made, bolt together, aluminum frame trailer kit. Worth every penny.

This thing is really heavy. I would have been worried about the added tongue weight, but something else made that moot. The company that made the trailer put the VIN sticker right where this thing needs to go, and I was worried about the clamping force and accidental slippage causing damage to the sticker. So this thing just takes up space in my garage.

This is the best made trailer jack that I have ever owned. The wheels have ball bearings and steel rims. The jack has a grease fitting and the cap on top can be easily removed to grease the gears. Mounted to my 6"x2" frame with no problem. The swing and telescoping features are easy to use. I would purchase it again.

I now own 3 of these in different sizes. I started with a 500 series on my utility trailer but needed something a little beefier to hold up under weight in the trailer when I drag it through the lawn, which is why I got the 750. I had a 350 on my 16' boat trailer but now swapped it out with a 500 that was on my utility trailer. All are made tough, well designed and can take punishment. I wouldn't go with anything different at this point. Show me a trailer jack that's better than this!

This trailer jack is truly "extreme". I was looking for an over-built one that I could count on to take some abuse. This one is perfect. The pins have extra strong springs. The back plate is extra thick. Even though I didn't need to use them, the bolts and brackets it came with are extra beefy. The wheels are extra strong. Basically everything about this jack is completely [awesome]!

My favorite feature is the removable magnetic crank handle. It clicks into place with authority and stows in my tongue box. Also, it looks great too. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat...only thing I'd do different is get it sooner. I put up with the wimpy OEM trailer jack far too long.

I was not able to raise the entire jack to a higher position. Fortunately for my uses I did not need to do this. What I do need is to be able to turn the crank so that it easily raises or lowers the wheels. It just makes clicking noises and with hard pressure on a part it can move a little.I have to use my old fixed jack to raise/lower the wheels. This must be an old, inferior model. Big waste of money.

AMAZING! The tongue weight on our offroad squaredrop trailer is pretty heavy, and moving it once unhitched was a major PITA. No more! Now we just roll it around, even in sand, tall grass and small rocks. This thing is awesome.

Do not use the Ark 500 trailer jack on boat trailers that are exposed to salt water!
The product info says that jack has been tested for 600 hours of salt spray, well it didn't work out that way for me.
I purchased this jack ~ 18 months ago, so it is out of the 1 year warranty period, to my dismay. This is a very expensive trailer jack, and I was hoping it would last longer.
I thoroughly rinse my boat and trailer in fresh water after each outing. I kept grease topped up in the fitting. Now the jack is getting very hard to crank, gears are binding, and rust is running down the the jack extension leg.
I am going to have to replace the Ark 500 jack with another product, as the day is coming where this jack will not crank any more.
I am very disappointed at the short life of this product, and the short warranty period.

very strong product, my only concern is the rubber on the wheels not lasting. They seam to be under alot of stress when moving the boat around. Overall I love the heavy duty frame and removable handle. Very good product. I would buy again for another trailer. Putting it on was a breeze. Just had to get my own bolts, which needed to be longer.

Seems like a good product but the bolts that come with it are too short to bolt to a 3”x3” tube frame. I messaged etrailer and they said “You would need to source longer bolts locally”. Description does not indicate it would work on a stand PWC trailer.

Also you need to think about which way you want to move the trailer. Straight forward and back is fine but if you want to turn the wheel one way the lever arm hits the tongue so you can jack at that angle.

    Hey Rod, The Ark Xtreme Off-Road Jack w/ 2 Wheels # ARK99FR has multiple slots in the outer tube of the jack that the mounting bracket can slot into. In the bottom slot you'd be right around 9-1/2" between the ground and frame with the wheels on and inner tube fully retracted. You can extend the inner tube of the jack to reach the 10" exactly or go up a slot you'll be about 10-1/2". This has a 1,100lb capacity so you'll want to doublecheck the tongue weight of the chute trailers or like...
