The simple truth is that salt can be highly corrosive to metal when exposure lasts for an extended period of time. So, the more you tow around it, the more you need to protect your trailer from it.
The Z-Max zinc finish on this jack offers great corrosion protection, even with occasional use around saltwater, to ensure that it doesn't end up looking like the one pictured above. Rust-resistant coatings are graded according to a salt spray rating. Basically, this rating shows the amount of time it takes for a material to show signs of corrosion when exposed to pure, continuous salt spray. Traditional zinc plating typically begins to deteriorate after about 100 hours. Dacromet usually lasts for around 300 to 400 hours. Fulton's Z-Max finish lasts for 600 hours in the salt spray test - 30% longer than a standard powder coat finish.
The environment this test creates is much harsher than anything you'll ever experience in your journeys, but it provides a testament to how well this jack resists rust and corrosion.
A trailer jack lifts your trailer high enough at the tongue to allow you to couple it with your vehicle. Usually, your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your gross trailer weight (GTW). For example, a 10,000-lb trailer has a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. To raise the tongue of a trailer this size, you'd need a jack that can handle a static load of no less than 1,500 lbs. And, yes, it's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time fishing.

A jack on steroids!
The dual wheels support the boat/trailer better and the more efficient gears in the jack for lifting the tongue make it much easier on me to crank.
Parts were as exactly as described and the installation was seamless. The help videos are an excellent resource for preparing for the work.

Awsome, holding up very well considering the multiple times a season it gets sumberged in salt water.
Excellent product. I have a 3000lb boat and this jack is way better than the jack the boat came with.
Cap was damaged in shipment but thanks to Chelsey S. at etrailer the replacement was on its way and arrived in no time! Only took ten minutes to install jack! Thank you etrailer, Samantha and Chelsey! Great product, great service and great company!
Sturdy, universal and functional
Box was damaged in shipping. This was due to the shipping company. The jack & hardware seems to be in good condition.
It's strong looking and heavy. I'll see how it holds up on the boat trailer, but I paid more for a Fulton, so I don't expect problems. Etrailer is fast, and ]very easy to deal with.

The wheel is working out great after 1 year of use. I wish it would swivel more easily in softer soil.
Installation was a breeze. Works like a charm - Good value and easy installation !! However, I am using this jack in saltwater for my fishing boat. I will submit more comments after a few months to report how the jack is holding !

My old jack was moved to my son-in-law's trailer, which had a very old beat up jack that needed to be replaced.

So far so good. I mounted this to a Triton 24’ enclosed aluminum snowmobile trailer with four sleds inside and it seems to be doing just fine. We have loaded this trailer fully twice when moving houses and this Jack is taking the weight fine. The previous Shelby unit was pure garbage. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good strong unit for a reasonable price. Just stay on top of lubricating it.

This has been holding up well to the road salt, severe winters, and constantly being outside year round. I would strongly recommend this jack to anyone looking for a durable and strong tongue jack. Finish is fading a bit but no actual rust yet which is great!
Well...I over-bought on this! However, I don't regret it one bit. The jack I replaced was awful: Worn-out loose, low amount of travel, just old. This Fulton is beefy and was a breeze to install. No issues, just bolted right on. The lift is smooth and high. The double-wheel caster makes rotating the trailer super easy. It swings up and solidly locks into place. An excellent bang for the buck and peace-of-mind.

Got rid of the boat with the trailer. Know what the first thing the new owner saw? The jack! He liked how beefy it was for the job it had and its lifting range. It works great, no complaints.
I agree with that others said about shipping. The box arrived broken and taped, but everything was still inside. The product looks well built, installed properly, and worked much easier than the old jack.
Other than shipping, the product appears to be as advertised.

I received the trailer jack in good shape and installed it in about 10 minutes. Just takes 4 bolts.
Now my trailer is back in business.

No complaints, works great. I use this on my 2 place Atv trailer. This trailer is on the heavy side. Love it!
