This JXC A-frame trailer jack features a manual hand crank, but can also be powered by any 18-volt to 24-volt compact drill when using the included attachment. Great for boat or cargo trailers. Comes with footplate.

Specs:
A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.
Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.
It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.
Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

shaft which I believe is standard (mostly). The one that came out was
only 2" in diameter and would not fit through the second hole in the
nose of the trailer. I had to cut a small piece of plywood, drill a
2.25 " hole saw (used a $xx bi-metal), clamped it onto the nose of the trailer, and created the right size hole. USE SAFTEY GLASS for this
step if you need to do the same. I also used a mask. First picture
of the unit NOT installed but you can see the issue. The second picture
is of the completed project. I suspect I will get many years of use from this unit. It also has a ZERK fitting for longer term maintenance.
The jack is shown with a triangular mounting plate by it arrived with a circular one that wouldn't fit the space without cutting off a portion of the circular plate. Used a sawz-all with a metal cutting blade to do that. After it was installed my 20v drill couldn't raise the trailer tongue. Lowering is easy, but I mainly wanted raising function. Needs to have a better lift ratio in the mechanism. I'm not happy with the unit but I can't really return it after having cut off a portion of the mounting plate. It also didn't extend as far as I needed. Would be much better if it had an adjustable inner sleeve that would enable a greater lift amount. I have to block under the base plate to level my 15" wheeled trailer.

I apologize for the trouble you are having with your item. You could have received the wrong jack, but it is no longer returnable. Next time, please let Customer Service know as soon as possible at 800-298-1624.
works great, now the rest of my trailer needs a new paint job to match it :D
Wish I had swapped this onto my trailer earlier. Installation was a bquick swap out. Took less than 10 minutes.
This is a great upgrade. The option to use a drill motor to speed up connecting and disconnecting the trailer is great! The handle is always an option if the battery dies or we end up at a stop where we didn't bring the drill.
I love working with etrailer they always have what I need. I just received one part of my order and it only took a month to get it! Sorry etrailer, but I have to throw ya down to 4 stars due to the fact. The jack itself is nice though, looks real sturdy and reliable, just wish I had it a few weeks sooner.
Really, I can't say enough good things about it. Easy to install and totally reliable. Easy to use. Very well made and very adaptable to any trailering situation. I've had other trailer jacks in the past, including an electric unit, but they all pale in comparison to this fine, fine piece of equipment.
Installed great. Nice to have a new jack that's smooth and free of rust.
e-trailer shipping and service is top notch. Will shop here again.
Fantastic quality all the way around, not sure how your competitors can stay in business
Great product, and I love the removable handle. My existing jack wheel fit perfectly (critical for where I park this trailer) and the jack can be "clocked" in 90 degree increments. I did have to relocate my trailer brake breakaway switch slightly due to the larger mounting circle. The only knock I can think of is that I would have liked a version of the power driver adapter that would fit my 3/8" impact driver that I carry in my tow vehicle, instead of also having to carry a drill/driver. Part of the reason I bought this jack was that the original top crank jack that came with the trailer would interfere slightly when I would lower my tailgate (I bought a longer shank drawbar to help everything clear). There is plenty of space now between the jack and tailgate when I have it down.
Seems tough ! Like the zerk!
great service
Great jack and can't say enough how nice it is to be able to hook up a drill to it. Easy install as well. We had a 1958 Ideal Trailer with the ORIGINAL jack, ugh.
Quality is great. Easy install.
Arrived in damaged packing with some missing material but customer service quickly sent a replacement unit and return packaging. Once installed, the unit works great, does its job and makes mine a tad easier.
I bought this jack because I'm now 73 tears old and prefer to have motors do my cranking. Very easy to install. I use a drill to place my stabilizers and I want to use this to level the trailer fore and aft. I like the product but the gearing is a little tall for a hand held drill. The tongue weight for my popup isn't much but this gearing works pretty hard to lift the trailer (tongue weight only 100 lbs,). Good idea but get the best lifting capacity you need.
Broke after only the 2nd week using it. The gear inside shattered and chuck it up as a loss. Tongue weight was well below the max for the jack.
Very strong, durable, good build quality, smooth operation.
I’am really happy with the super high quality and convenience of the Trailer Valet. It took me about 10mins to install and I love how I can use my 18 drill to quickly lift and raise my trailer especially since I have a WD and Anita sway hitch that requires me to lift and lower several times!! I wish I would of purchased sooner!!
Trailer jack had a bonus not seen in photo, may have been in description but did not notice and that was a circular mounting plate to position the jack handle 4 ways 360 degree. Socket for the cordless drill is nice and works well. Fast shipping as always from etrailer! A good value overall.
Install was quick and easy, jack works fine, but first sign of moisture, and there is already rust . . . whole reason for purchase was to replace old rusty jack. Plus, a few dings in shipping along the way.

Hi Duncan, Thank you for your feedback. For a trailer jack with better rust prevention, I recommend the Bulldog A-Frame Round Jack, part BD1700100301. This jack comes with a zinc coating which gives a lot better rust prevention. It does not come with a foot, however I do recommend the Pro Series Detachable Footplate w Pin for 2 Diameter Jacks, part PS1400700340.
I wanted a electric hitch jack that allows me to open the rear hatch of my 2015 Chevy Tahoe. This jack is perfect for that task. It works great and met all of my expectations.
Bought two of these jacks one for myself and one for my son have had no problems at all and work excellent on travel trailer and utility trailer.
Fits my restored 1978 Nomad camper perfectly. The jack is made well and the black wrinkle finish looks great. A quality product.
Good quality, easy to use.

Excellent experience with the unit - much faster to hook and unhook the trailer, used it in a lot of areas where we had to park the trailer to go up down some rough roads. Take a look at its extension limits for your application. This one is about 3 less than the old one it replaced, so I almost alway use blocks under the front to give it enough height.
