Rubber Equalizers Absorb Road Shock and Reduce Chucking

Rubber Equalizer Vs Standard Equalizer

Hauling a trailer that's still equipped with standard steel equalizers is bound to produce a less-than-ideal towing experience. This is because those standard equalizers allow the road shock from your trailer to transfer directly to your tow vehicle, resulting in a rough, bumpy ride.

In addition, road shock can put added stress on your trailer's frame, suspension, running gear, and more, all of which can lead to increased maintenance time and cost. It can also cause damage to the contents of your trailer due to constant chucking and jerking. And the last thing you want is for your electronics to be tossed around inside your RV before you set up camp, or for your horse to get jostled around as you bring him home from the show.

These rubber equalizers help to solve those problems. When road shock occurs while hauling your trailer, the rubber inserts absorb and dampen the vibration and bounce, resulting in a less bumpy ride. The inserts also absorb the back-and-forth movement to reduce chucking and jerking so that you don't get thrown around inside your cab.

CRE3000 Rubber Insert

Each of these equalizers also offers up to 3" of up-and-down travel. The more travel your suspension has, the better it is able to compensate for road shock. When you hit a pothole, for example, these equalizers allow your suspension to account for that dip on one side so that the opposite wheels aren't forced to compensate. As a result, you'll get a smoother ride, even when you're driving over uneven campground roads or speed bumps.

Easy Installation

These equalizers directly replace your trailer's factory equalizers, so installation is straightforward. Simply remove the shackle links from your factory equalizer and the shoulder bolt from the frame hanger. Remove the factory equalizer and replace it with the MORryde rubber equalizer.

MORryde Shackle Upgrade Kit

You can reuse your existing hardware with these equalizers, but we recommend using MORryde's suspension upgrade kit (sold separately). Factory shackle links wear out pretty quickly and easily, so replacing them with MORryde's thick, heavy-duty shackle links will save you the time and effort of having to frequently replace them. Not to mention you'll get easy-to-grease bolts and long-lasting bronze bushings with the kit for a totally upgraded setup.

Noticeably difference pulling my GD 337 RLS in a good way. Bushing in old suspension system where shot. Happy with decisions going with moryde

by:

Excellent product and fast shipping, I am pairing these with the Morryde wet bolts for a trailer suspension out of this world!

by:

This was an exact fit product. I called customer service and the person that answered was very attentive and we traded emails as we talked with pictures of my camper so she could make sure I had the correct product. The unit itself fit as described.

by:

Everything came as it should and installation wasn’t bad . Everything seems to performing good .

by:

I have not installed them yet, just got them today. But they look heavy duty and I feel safer with these on the 5th wheel.

by:

Excellent service! They got the order out within 2 hours of my ordering it. It was a replacement for what came original on the camper and was put together without bushings at the factory so I had to replace it with the correctly made one. Very well satisfied with the service as I have been in the past.

by:

etrailer is on their game. Item arrived a day ahead of expectations.

Super easy transaction!

by:

Looking forward to installing!

by:

packaging was excellent, product looks well made, will know more next summer after installing & traveling some

by:

Parts were exact fit, they are installed and we are ready to go camping. I recommend this product to all who have campers. Lori was great to work with. Will buy from etrailer again.

by:

This install while it seems intimidating, went really easy. If on hard ground it would have only take me about 2 hours to complete both sides including new wet bolts and X-factor crossmember.

Review from a similar Rubber Equalizer in Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension

I have not towed with it yet. But the installation went pretty smooth. I also installed the Morryde shackle kit. Everything looks heavy duty. The only thing is that 4 of the wet bolts were too long. I had to add 1/2 inch thick heavy duty washers to pull the Splined end of the bolts in. Shipping was good as always.

Review from a similar Rubber Equalizer in Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension

After taking off my Equa flex and seeing the cracked welds and the complete junk that they produce, the MORryde 3000 is built extremely well 100% better. The wett bolt kit is definitely a must have! I’m so glad I noticed the cracked welds around the bolts and housing when my trailer was parked at home versus on the road.
Calling etrailer for tech-support and making sure I had all the measurements right was super easy and their customer service is superior. I highly recommend etrailer!

Review from a similar Rubber Equalizer in Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension

Great upgrade. Smoothed out my trailer ride and reduces bounce. Install requires a number of jack stands and lifts. Best if you can lift and the whole trailer at once and have floor jacks for the axles. We also made some specialty tools for punching out the old plastic bushing and pressing in the new brass of the wet bolt kit. 2 guys, 4 1/2 hrs with time to turn the new tools on the lathe.

Comments
Still loving my upgraded suspension. Just crawled under and greased all the new wet bolts. Totally lost my squeaky creaking trailer noises as you pull through a campground and the ride is butter. Dont hesitate to do this if you have stock leafs.

Review from a similar Rubber Equalizer in Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension

So far this was easy to do myself, I replaced Leaf springs, Equalizer and shackle bolts with wet bolts, my kit had 4 bolts to long so I had to get some from a local place. But it came apart pretty easily and when back together almost as easy.I have a 2012 coachmen 281rlds it has the 42 inch spread axles, etrailer got me every thing I need, and Morryde told me what I needed, thank's everyone.

  • Will MORryde Rubber Equalizers MR27ZR Raise A Trailer?
The MORryde Rubber Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 35" Wheelbase - 8K # MR27ZR you were looking at measure 8" between the horizontal mounting holes, and 3-5/16" between the center of the horizontal mount holes and the vertical mounting hole as you can see in the included diagram. If your current equalizer is taller than 3-5/16" then you will lower the trailer slight, but if it is shorter than 3-5/16" you will slightly raise the trailer. The hangers you currently have on your trailer are ones I have run into before. That being said, I spoke with MORryde and the # MR27ZR will still fit your trailer, but there is a modification that will need to be made. You’ll have to trim according to the included diagram. The top of the equalizer pivots on the bolt, which is why this clearance is necessary. The case of the # MR27ZR also has flanges on it to add additional strength. • How To Measure To Make Sure The MORryde CRE3000 Equalizers Will Fit Your Trailer
I contacted MORryde and this does happen from time to time as the weight of the trailer can spread out the axles due to downward pressure on the springs/suspension. Odds are the 35" wheel base # MR27ZR will be the correct one for you, but they did recommend measuring your frame hanger spread (FHS). This should be done from the center of the front hanger to the center of the rear hanger. I included an image of the measurement table as well, just in case you need it. With that being said,...

  • Should MORryde Equalizer Kit MR87ZR Or MR27ZR Be Used With 35" Axle Spacing?
As your axles measure 35" apart from center to center but the frame hanger spread (FHS) measured 58-3/4", you did go the correct way. The axle spacing is definitely important, but the FHS is more so. Just be aware that you axle spacing may change a little due to the MORryde Rubber Equalizers # MR87ZR being shorter than the # MR27ZR (quick diagram included), but this will be perfectly fine.

Yes, axle spread and wheel base by definition are the same measurements. You will measure from the center of one axle to the center of the 2nd axle to determine what you axle spread is. This may be difficult as some wheels and covers will make this harder to determine. You can also measure from common points in reference to the axle.
