The purchase experience was excellent. This incandescent light solved the strobe effect I had with similar LED license plate lights. I attached it to my storage box to illuminate my duplicate license plate that I carry behind my RV on toe-hitch-rack. Since the storage box obscures my vehicle license plate, a duplicate plate is required by Ohio State law which must also be illuminated. The metal bracket is a bit thin and easily bent so be careful if anything leans up against it. Otherwise it works great!

This illuminated license plate holder will work just fine. I will attach it onto the left side of the lift gate on my Caravan. This will require mounting with two self drilling screws, plus a hole for the light power source. I made a full size spare tire carrier that mounts into the class III trailer hitch receiver, so the stock license plate location is out of sight. (Yes, the carrier swings down by releasing a hitch pin so the lift gate may be opened.) I think I have the only Caravan with a continental kit!!
Have not installed it yet, but tested the light with a power supply and it works as advertised.
This part is a good value for the price.

Still working perfectly and holding up well. Survived a three day trip from the Midwest to the Southwest with no problems.
These were installed on a box truck that had no side markers. They're extremely bright and make the turn signal quite obvious to drivers in other lanes that cannot see the rear lights. These were a major improvement in safety for our truck.
excellent product seems to be durable and with withstand the obstacles encountered by license plates that generally bend and break the plastic and metal brackets. Easy to install with slight modifications to fit original mounting spot.
Great product, Excellent Customer Service!I sent etrailer a few emails before I bought this item. My other bracket rusted out, and wanted something that wouldn't do the same. Couldn't go wrong with the price either, it's a little flimsy, but that stiffens up when you attach your license plate to it. Mounts easy & install is a breeze (just need your own hardware to attach it, there are no screws with the package). EXCELLENT Customer Service. At first my order was at a distribution facility and would ship within 48 hrs, but they expedited my order and it shipped the same day! Received it 2 days later. Also, their tracking system is state-of-the-art! It uses Google Maps to give you a visual of exactly where the shipment is.
I am very happy with the product and service I received. I was able to track the shipment online. It arrived within a few short days, was easy to install and works great. I will be sure to deal with etrailer.com for any relevant products that I may need in the future.

Screw holding the Plastic Light cover and the lens came out by breaking through the Gray Plastic cover. Lost lens so now looking to replace.

Perfect fit easy to install
One year after installation, these lights are still going strong. The visibility of the brake/turn/tail lights is exponentially greater, especially at longer distances on the interstate and in the daytime.

Good enough for the price, but the light housing is very delicate. If it's going to be in a protected area then no worries.

After a year now the product still works as well as the day I installed it. Again, the metal bracket could be made of thicker metal to make it more hardy. You have to be careful when working around the light not to bend it up. Otherwise its a great product.
