The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

P2 rated.Wire leads were wrong polarity. White wire had to go to negative and black wire to positive to make it work. And this was connection direct to battery. Just factory mistake but easy fix. Advise people to Just test first before installing.
The lights and fenders I purchased from etrailer.com were first rate just as described. This was a rehab of an older trailer with rusted fenders and rotted floor & sideboards. The pictures show an extra bracket installed on the top of the fenders. While this may not look perfect, it truly makes the fender a rugged reliable step for a full size adult.

Very Good lights..... On boat trailers run a separate Ground wire to them...Do not use the trailer frame as your ground. 90% of failed lights are Bad Grounds to the trailer frame.

Great small marker light. Used them at extreme rear of trailer facing forward to show outer limits of trailer in mirrors at night. Very bright.....works great! Size allows mounting in tight spaces.

Great little light! Perfect size for a fender marker. Very bright for its size and seems to be well constructed. If mounting to a flat surface, be sure to drill a 1/4-inch hole in the center (of said flat surface) for the wires to pass thru or use standoffs behind the screws to prevent pinching of the wires as there is no slot on the back of the light itself.

Using the frame on a boat trailer is a big No No.....Most problems are Bad grounds....Run a separate Ground wire to your lights and waterproof the connections and your lights will last and function correctly!

I removed the old marker lights from my boat trailer and installed these LED lights a year ago. They are easy to install, very bright, and have worked great. I would definitely recommend this product.

the lights have worked well and I was very pleased. I installed the lights myself so you have to make sure you waterproof the connections but the lights have been underwater and managing quite well.
My trailer sits low so these were a perfect addition as clearance/running lights for making me more visible at night. Great value and subtle brightness.
