The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Here we have Optronics Sealed Miro-Flex, Mini Star LED Side Marker Light, part number MCL17AB. The light is a sealed, waterproof unit, so it is fine to use on boat or jet ski trailers. It mounts to the surface of your trailer and has a snap-on chrome cover. There are 3 amber LEDs that draw a total of .047 amps at 12.8 volts. The LEDs are also covered by a lifetime warranty from Optronics. Next, we will hook up the light to a power supply so you can see how it looks. We will take one of our wire leads and connect it to our ground and the other we will connect to our power. Next, we will turn off the overhead lights, so you can see how bright the light is. And there you have it for the Optronics Sealed Miro-Flex, Mini Star Side Marker Light, part number MCL17AB.

Gaskets or screws do not come with these lamps, though there should be a gasket with them. I have material and will make my own (see photo’s).

Orderd in a Sunday an still took over 2 week to get what I wanted, they sent some of wrong and I've had to call way to many times to get things straight. I would rather not have to ever deal with them again. The lights still were not the ones I needed an wanted so I installed anyways rather fight the long process of dealing with customer service again.

The clearance are fine; they were an exact dupe of what I had... so I expect them to hold up like the ones I removed... the bezels are a chrome plated over plastic... they should do the trick!
Nice lights once you get them installed-They are bright and look nice on the 1970 Sears boat trailer.
The wires that come out the back need a 3/4" hole to fit through-so I had to drill a 3/4" hole in the trailer plus the 2 mounting screws holes.
I had as much $ in drill bits as I did with the lights

Shipping was fast, lights were easy to install and look great, really bright at night. The "bling" to top off paint-n-seal update we are in the process of doing on our 1983 travel trailer. The new LED's make the camper look good, friends thought we got a new one. Highly recommend them.

It might be possible to give 5 stars but after purchasing all the products about a year ago, my little fiberglass trailer is not even close to being ready. All the lighting is hooked up and they all seem to work, so that's a good thing. The other products that I purchased have not been installed yet.
I would like to mention how pleased I am with e-trailer videos showing everyone how their products look and how they're used. Keep it up, I am a happy customer.

This light exactly matched the OEM light that failed. Installation was very easy and the new light has not leaked or filled with water like the original light did.
Had a blowout on my Hyperlite travel trailer that ripped the clearance light out. Was having a hard time finding the exact replacement I wanted. Went to the internet and found your site, looked over it and there was my exact clearance light. Ordered it and it’s now here. Very good experience.

This style of light is in my Forest River Toy Hauler. Dealer didn't stock them so ordered it from etrailer. Also ordered a couple of spares in the red and yellow lens. Light was exactly like the unit I needed to replace on my Toy Hauler. Took me about five minutes to install and works perfectly.
I have replaced all my running lights on my horse trailer with these lights and these are just spares . 2 diodes have burnt out of one of my amber ones , but I do love these lights very bright
We were concerned that the parts would be the same as our trailer lights, as these were for an RV not a trailer; pictures appeared to be the same but without a specific part number it was difficult to be absolutely certain. No worry, they were exactly as required.
