A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

This light is a very bright clearance light. It will take the vibrations that a regular incandesent light will not take.

Great running light!I replaced my running lights with these and they were a perfect fit and easy to install. This light should be much more reliable than an ordinary bulb unit and is plenty bright.
Make sure you use these LED marker lights if you replace your tail lights with LED's
Light was as discribed, delivered on time and appears to be a good quality light, we'll have to see how it holds up to Arizonas brutal sun. Installation was easy. Overall a good buying experience.

These side lights wired up quick and easy. I used 3M Scotchlok connectors to hook these into my running lights. Can't ask for much more.
These lights are AWESOME! I decided to re-wire the flaky lights on my used trailer and these worked perfectly. They have the exact same mounting configuration as their incandescent counterparts (post mount) but draw much less current and are much brighter and never burn out.
Quick delivery, easy install to replace old style incandescent ones that corroded and burnt out often. Side lights look reasonably bright. Tail & stop lights are well build and quite bright, especially the brake turn lights. They will get dunked in Baltimore's salty water this weekend for the first time. Looks like a nice upgrade, especially if they are not bothered by being immersed in the water.
Put two on a trailer today. I wish bought more. Time will tell on the longevity. I do know the bulb types do not last unless you annually take them apart and clean them, and use dielectric grease to keep the corrosion at bay. Too much work all that. I think these will last a long time with no maintenance.

These look great on my trailer and increases the visibility over the old lights I had. Inexpensive, easy to put on and an easy way to add increased safety and value to your trailer.
My two year old yacht club trailer side marker lights had a mind of their own and would inadvertently decide to energize or not. The bulbs could not be replaced as these were a one piece unit.I ordered two LED marker lights from etrailer and after replacing the incandescent fixtures I haven't had an issue. I predict my rear lights being next.
This is a nice quality light and the LED aspect of it is sweet. I am holding back a star because the black wire that powers the light is ridiculously short. If you are running the light out on a fender, you have to split your wire harness and send the brown wire to it. If the manufacturer had spent another one tenth of a cent and made the black wire longer, it would have been better. Also, the back of the light, the grooves for the wire are a bit shallow. Difficult to get the light to sit properly. Once it's up and running it's quite sharp.
Always look forward to getting parts from etrailer. Shipping is decent and parts are as described.

I got fed up with the bulbs losing contact in the stock clearance lights that came installed on my trailer. These were the solution. The LEDs should last a good long time and vibration won't be an issue. They are plenty bright enough as far as I'm concerned. As inexpensive as they are, they still seem to be fairly well made. A couple of self-drilling screws for the ground leads, a couple of crimp connectors and some heat shrink tubing for the power leads were all I needed to complete the swap. I'm totally satisfied. If these lights fit your application, buy them.

Still rock solid after a year installed.
Installed this and several other lights on a new trailer. Factory lighting and wiring left a lot to be desired, and with the help of etrailer.com I was able to get everything fixed up like I wanted.
Lights work very well - clear and bright yellow clearance markers.
