Specs:
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
This light has an industry-standard PL-2 connection as pictured above. The light accepts a 2-prong plug (sold separately). The plug connects to 2 of the points on the PL-2 connection for power and ground. And the plug covers the unused third point on the connection to seal it against dirt and moisture.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a housing or a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

Today on our equipment trailer, we're going to be installing the Optronics LED trailer clearance, side marker light, part number MCL57AB. We're going to first need to remove the old light from the rubber grommet. To do this, we'll just simply use a flat head screwdriver; work the old light out of the grommet. Here's what the connection looks like on the back side. It's a two prong plug that we just need to simply unplug for now. Here's what our new Optronics light looks like. It is an LED style, not the old incandescent style.
If you'll notice, it has exactly the same plug on the back side and there's also a little bit of dielectric grease already installed at each of the two connection points. The dielectric grease will give you a good connection over the life of the light. Now before we can reinstall our light in our grommet here, we're going to go ahead and clean the grommet out a little bit. Go ahead and get all the dirt that's built up inside the grommet out before we install our new light. Now with our grommet cleaned up, we'll go ahead and take our plug and reconnect it to the back side of our new light. We'll line up each of the two prongs and push firmly making sure that the connection goes all the way in. Now before we put the light back into place, we're going to go ahead and turn it on and make sure it works.
As you can see here, here is what our new Optronics LED side marker light looks like. Now that we've made sure that the light works, we'll go ahead and put it back into the rubber grommet. Now to help the light slide back into the grommet a little easier, we're going to smear just a little bit of grease around the edge of the grommet here. That way the light goes back into place just a little bit easier. Now it will be a little tight when you're putting the light back into the rubber grommet; that is why we added the grease. But you will still need to work at it a little bit in order to get the light to fully seat back in the grommet.
Once we have the light back in, we'll go ahead and take a paper towel and clean up any excess grease that may be on the rubber boot. And that's all there is to it, to installing the Optronics LED trailer clearance and side marker light in the 2 1/2 inch round and amber color, part number MCL57AB. .

2-1/2" Diameter. Waterproof, LED trailer light serves as a side marker light or a clearance light. Durable polycarbonate lens and housing. Recessed mount with grommet (sold separately). Accepts standard 2-pin PL-10 plug. P2 rated.I purchased $XX worth of led lights 6 marker lights and 2 ovals. The marker light had a protective wrapper and showed up pristine condition, however both ovals were thrown in the box with no protective wrapper the clear oval has a scratch but is still in good condition the red oval has scratches all over it to the point it looks used. Pretty Sad. Wish I could off included photos but it was hard to see the scratches In the picture my camera isn't the greatest.
These are exactly what I was looking for
look good and fit great
Installed on a 93 Skeeter boat trailer. Very tight fit. Had to turn the light sideways and push through Grommet to install . Right now I have it installed but until I take the boat out this weekend, I will not know if I have the wires plugged in correctly. 50/50 chance of getting it correct. Shipping was very fast.
