Optronics MCL67AB ThinLine LED Clearance Marker Light Dimensions

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

P2-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for P2 rated light

A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Surface-Mount Light

Surface Mount Trailer Light Installation Diagram

Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Perfect!! Holes lined up exactly as specified which was VERY important for my application. I didn't have to drill any holes and they work exactly as expected.

These were a great replacement for my old fluorescents on the sides of my boat trailer while I was pulling new wires and replacing rear lights as well. They are plenty bright and easy install.

These lights went in nicely and have proven to be reliable. Thank you.

Wish this was the 2 wire variety. Still works, but keeping them grounded is a pain.

Same opinion. Never worked out the wiring and just called it good.

They worked out perfect as a replacement to my old lights. Had to do a little bit of customization to fit them to my trailer but I expected that I would. They look great and give off some nice light. I would for sure buy them again.

After a year of solid use my lights are still looking great on my trailer! Would certainly buy them again and definitely reccomend them to everyone!

Great price and worked good. Wished could have found the light cheaper without black adapter. Rest of trailer is gray.

Thanks for the review, Phil! I have a solution for you! You can replace the black bracket with the Optronics chrome bracket A67CB, or the gray bracket A66pb. This part would better match your trailer. Hope this helps!

Phil S.

Working great. As stated wish could have found just the light. Black adapter not being utilized.

I prefer lights that don't need an additional grounding wire. These have a metal bracket on them so when you mount them with your bolt or screw, it grounds the light. Pretty bright light, zero complaints. However I will say i was surprised they don't come with any bolt/nuts or screws. For me that was no big deal since i have both on hand, ended up using some self tapping pan head screws that were zinc plated. To lazy to get the drill set out.. I cut the tip of the connector off and ended up using a heat shrink crimp connector.

This is a good replacement for my boat trailer markers...didn't even have to drill new holes.

still working

Folks, I decided to completely revitalize/upgrade my 20 year old bass boat trailer and found that not only could i find all the updated parts i needed, (led lights and urethane bow rollers, etc), at one location, additionally has a video for just about each part, where they share different measurements etc that may not be on the standard part description. These videos provided me with all the information i needed while configuring my retrofit. Additionally, when I placed my order, I received a personal email from the guy who packed my shipment., confirming that all the parts i ordered where in stock and now on the way. I typically never write these type of endorsements, but I felt compelled to write this one. Great service and all the parts I purchased have met my expectations. I'll be back when I need additional trailer parts.

Again a perfect fit for our Haulmark cargo trailer. These are the OEM equivalent with LED lighting. I installed a white 14 gauge pig-tail wire for extra grounding purposes and they work great. I would buy them again, so thanks again etrailer......

I recently replaced my trailer lights with the thinline LED's. I like that they are completely sealed and they're very bright for the size.

Easy install, just 2 #10 x 3/4" bolts. It's self grounding. Well made, bright, and a simple snap in lens if it should burn out or get cracked.

I would suggest cutting the wire off your existing light and splice it to the black wire. The black wire is a bit short if you are trying to splice directly to your main wiring. I know from experience.

Going to be a good replacement for the light I had on my trailer.

Working as it should happy I found it:

Easy to install, bright LED's, great replacement for my old incandescent fixtures.

Slill working flawlessly after one year

Replaced DZ part # 77-825 with these new led lights on my 1981 Avion camper. Looks and works great! Video of product mounting was very helpful in choosing these lights. One of the best websites I’ve ever come across. Thanks for the help from your team!

I needed a replacement running light for a trailer. This one worked great as a replacement.

I replaced all my original bulbs with these LED. Trailer lights up real nice at night now..

It works lime its supposed to. Ga e it a lower rating because the housing on 3 out of 7 were cracked when I opened them. Didn't have to time go through all the BS with return and waiting for new ones, they all work bit for how long Idk.

I ordered replacement LED lights for a trailer I have . The web site was clear and easy to navigate prices are fair and delivery was prompt. What more can I say?

wish pig tail on light was a little longer had to use a jumper wire to make connection to trailer wire. Other then that their going to work.

These are very good led lights. Highly visible at night and during the day. Replaced the missing light perfectly.

Have had these lights on my trailer for a year now. Still working good. Using the trailer about once a week now. Really show up at night.

Great service The LEDS look better than old lights. Easy install

Excellent customer service, lights look to be great quality, and you cannot beat the price. Will shop here again.

Great product but even better customer service. etrailer is now my go to spot for all my trailer needs.

  • Troubleshooting 2 Wire Trailer Taillights That Dont Work Installed in Place of Single Wire Lights
If you had single wire trailer taillights initially that meant that the assemblies grounded through the mounting hardware. If you went to a two wire light that would mean you would actually have to ground each of the assemblies using the white wire of them. You can run them back to the mounting hardware of the lights or you can run them to the main ground harness of your trailer and they should work again. You might also check to make sure that the main ground of your trailer didn't get...

  • Troubleshooting New Trailer LED Side Markers Not Working
The issue you are having still sounds like there might be a weak or bad ground on the new LED lights. The mix between them and the incandescent assemblies at the rear of the trailer should not be causing this problem so it has to be something specific with the new lights that were installed. Many LED trailer lights feature a 2 wire design (one for ground and one for power) and don't actually use the mounting hardware for its ground like with your old assemblies. If the new lights have...

  • How to Wire 2-Wire Trailer Clearance Lamp
Your old trailer lights like # MCL67AB are grounded to the trailer via their mounting hardware. Since your new lamps use 2 wires, you'll connect the red wire to the trailer running lamp circuit and install a ring terminal on the end of the black wire. You'll ground the black wire to the trailer frame using a self-tapping screw, and the lamp will work perfectly for you. If you click the provided link, you can see my friend Shane completing an installation of a 2-wire trailer clearance lamp.

To replace the Wesbar 203260 side lights on your trailer, I recommend looking at the Optronics Thinline Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light # MCL67AB. • Why Does a Marker or Clearance Light Only Have One Wire
The marker and clearance lights you have now ground with a single wire hence why you have two wires total, one for power and one for ground. If the marker or clearance light only has one wire then this wire is for power and the light grounds though the mounting hardware. When you determine which of the two wires you have is for power, you just simply need to cap the other one off. If the new light with only one wire is installed in a rubber grommet then you will need to run a ground wire...
